Great review, thanks. I've asked on a similar video of yours, but I don't understand the quick release connection bit. How do you connect the compressor hose to the airbrush? Do you have to buy a new hose? Or, can you connect the existing compressor hose directly to the airbrush without using the quick-release connector? I have an Iwata Neo at the moment which I am becoming disillusioned with. Thanks for your patience with a relatively new and inexperienced airbrush user.
I plan to get the H&S Ultra. I am going to be using an airbrush for the first time so I want something that works well to make using it easier. But the one I found on Amazon only comes with the small paint cup.
How about if I want to progress from the Neo Paul? I have a Neo but feel I need to up-grade as I can't seem to get skinny detail. Would you say the Ultra is a good companion or a sideways move. Much love...
The ultra would be a good step up from the neo, giving greater control and precision. Upgrading to the evolution would be a better option though as you would realy notice the difference then :)
Hi Paul, are you having any issues with the seals and solvent paint mixes? I only ask as it has been mentioned in other reviews. How often would you have to replace the seals if a favourite paint is Tamiya & Laquer thinners mix (Mr Hoby/Thinners etc) Does the "Ultimate" thinners cause any deterioration in the seals?
Hi Paul, great review! I'm seriously considering buying an Ultra (have the Revell starter kit now, which is quite rubbish) but I'm not sure which compressor I should buy. Any recommendations? Which one are you using?
Hey buddy, I'm currently using a paasche compressor (hard to find in the uk) but I'm upgrading to a Sparmax Tc-610 over the next week or so, Have a look at the www.Air-craft.net website theres lots to choose from, or if you cany afford the £150+ ones you can get a as-186 of ebay for around the £80 mark and there ok for the money
Paul @ ISM Hi, thanks for the reply. Would you be so kind as to do a review on the compressor once you receive it? That, or a general comparison between the two compressors and compressors in general. What to look out for, what to buy as a beginner, where to spend money on if you have it, etc.Myself and probably others have literally no idea and get lost in the sea of compressors available. Thanks!
Anci I bought the revell kit and I quite liked it. Have been using it since my neo was terrible and broke earlier. Ill be getting one of these soon. Theyre in a different league
Really good review and test buddy! Like these vids! Got two of these! Love this!! Got the Infinity, and the Evolution as well, but these are side by side 0,2 and 0,4, very good airbrush!
this is probally a question i know the awnser to but can you use ump thinner +cleaner in cheap chinese airbrushes that dont have teflon seals ? also you said on the bench live that thinning ump primer for use in my h and s 0.2 needle i would probally need to thin it and probally warm the paint up too - do i need a baby bottle warmer for that or will simply immerseing the bottle in warm water be fine ? received the brush today feels nice in the hand at least so far although i am already thinking getting the bigger cup and needle size for it would of been a good idea probally wont be my main brush for more than a year but its a significant step up for me at least quality wise i expect that will be the apex at some point and one of them will be permenantly assigned to spraying alclads and or clear duties
Ok thanks i was abit hesitant to use it in the cheap chinese airbrush - wasn't quite sure with it having rubber seals and all, Still finding it useful for more basic tasks personally that only involve acrylics so didnt want to potentially ruin it even though it was only about a tenner. Some test sprays of UMP black primer are in order today i think now that ive got a proper regulator water trap and other gubbinz
Good review.... now i need to decide if i want the Ultra or the Evo (Infiniti is well out my price range) This will be my first proper airbrush upgrading from a cheap ebay starter set. There is a £50 difference (between both 2in1 sets) is it really worth the extra for the evo? If anyone can help it would be apreciated!
After watching this video a couple of years ago, I bought the Ultra 2. The only thing I've done was put a pinch tip on it to make it easier to clean. I also have a NEO, but very seldom use it. Was well worth the price and does everything my skill set asks it to do.

teflon seals are impervious to laquers.www.calpaclab.com/teflon-ptfe-compatibility/
Hello. I have it. I need a compressor for this. Can you help me. Which one can I buy for this model? thanks

Cheers cees, i love the H&S airbrushes and think they knock spots of other airbrushes :)
Im thinking of buying a hs ultra 2in1 but if you think its better to buy an evolution i might buy an evo too can you help me?Thanks
Would it work at very low air pressure? (Say 5-15 psi like the neo) thanks
It should do if the paint is thin enough, thanks for watching and commenting - Paul :)
@@InternationalScaleModeller thanks very much for the answer
where could i get the pinch tip from does it come with the two in one?

UMP thinner and cleaner are fine to use, as for warming up a cup of warm water will do mate. thanks for watching and commenting - Paul :)

What type of airline do you all use? Thanks.
Just got the 2 in 1 kit, thanks to your review...
I know Im kinda off topic but do anybody know of a good website to watch newly released tv shows online?
@Nikolai Emmett I use flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
@Harlem Kendrick yea, I've been using Flixzone for since march myself :D
@Harlem Kendrick thank you, I went there and it seems to work =) I appreciate it !!
@Nikolai Emmett Glad I could help xD

Scrap that question... i ordered the Evo silverline 2in1 from air-craft... i did say that i heard about the company via your chanel.
Thanks for the heads up.
What do you have the preassure on, on the compressor?
I cant remember sorry
I have this airbrush and love it to bits!
I was waiting for this, now things are getting clearer i think between neo and ultra...
Good luck with the choice, id say it was all down to the cost personally, if you can afford the extra for the ultra, its money well spent :)
hey man,
is the o-ring made of rubber or teflon?
Arif Fauzan newer ones are Teflon. Older ones rubber
Thank you. Cracking revue!

Terry McDade when upgrading to the pinch tip do I need to worry about the nozzle size? i.e. will a pinch tip work for both a .2 and a .4 nozzle?
Yes :)
Buy a extra aircap H&S partnr 126793 it will fit. 4 years since your comment😄
Thanks for sharing the review with the community. Looks like a nice bit of airbrush.
Cheers mate, its a great bit of kit :)
Nothing a bit of good brushwork cannot beat.
Yeah....no....
Bit gay to use a brush and paint, real men dip their art in kreosote.
Good shout Paulie 😃
Ciekawa recenzja. Bardzo fajny aerograf.
The best airbrush in the world
Nah
It´s so tiny in your hands (:
