Overleveling Porygon was actually a bad idea. If you go read the pokerogue wiki page, you'll find out that Eternatus actually deals double damage to pokemon above level 200.

Once you hatch a legendary, the game becomes way easy
i can promise you with A good legendary the game would still be hard on the early game floor 1-1500~ mid game is the most fun out of it i think.

@@OurLance not even a legendary, there are plenty of busted egg moves. I think my catapult pokemon was hisuian qwilfish with fishious rend as an egg move. Gets merciless as a passive, gets fell stinger that ups atk by 3 stages if it knocks out an opponent with it, gets minimize, and both toxic spikes and toxic. This monster does a shit load of damage, can ramp up to +6 pretty easily, and minimize gets you to +6 evasion pretty fast and easily. Three playstyles with this thing, the hyper carry nuke, the staller, and the tech nuker using merciless to guarantee crits on poisoned targets. Barb Barrage and Fishious Rend are just insane moves.
you've got moves that hit 120 base power if you trigger their bonus, be faster than opponent or hit poisoned enemy, on top of a +6 atk on top of guaranteed crits with the safety net of +6 evasion.

I just did this earlier today, no legendaries/ anything more than 3 points.
Hoothoot was the MVP, solo'd 90% of the battles, rest of my team was just fodder.

Esper wing, calm mind, roost, boomburst.

for a montotype run, this team seemed really strong, and there was probably still room to have a better normal only run. Great video!

I think a good type would be steel types.
They resist Fairy, Dragon and immune to poison.
Edit: Also ban Tinkaton and Zachian
I think its probably safe to say ill be doing these without legendaries (unless random encounter) or mythics and whatnot

Makes me so happy seeing people run challenges in this game. A nuzlocke hardcore mode coming out where you lose all your hatched eggs if any die would be cool.
I caught a Greedent at the start of the game, throughout my run it learned the move counter. I thought nothing of it. Come down to the 195 battle and lily’s mega ray crit my Greedent down to 16 hp. I used counter, and since the mega ray had -2 stages of defense, I one shot the mega ray. Top 10 greedent moments of all time
-2 stages of D didn’t matter. Counter does a set 2x of damage taken.
what is (N) in conversion?

N means it’s not implemented in the game yet and P means it’s partially implemented

@@Splintorious was this confirmed by devs? Ive never even seen anyone mention ages but it would make sense following the common Pokémon trend
@@SplintoriousRed and Blue are 11 in Red and Blue and the youngest playable characters over all generations. And while not all have confirmed ages, the majority is between 11 and 14.
B2W2 had probably the oldest main game protagonists at 16 years old.
And Wes from Pokémon Colosseum is 17.
Based on this trend I think the PokéRogue protagonists should be older than Wes/at least 18 years old.
When you said normal is weak to Fighting it actually has two weaknesses and the other one is Phychic but hey can’t wait for this game to add more features like monotype and nicknames 👍
