I still like the way Sephiroth utilizes his katana, or Masamune in Smash. And no, I'm not talking about the players control over him. When he's going for something more precise he uses it in a way to make it poke them, and when he's going for something more powerful he uses the swords full length to maximize power. Pretty cool ngl.
Sephiroth has always been about elegant overwhelming precision in-game over raw supernatural power that everything else suggests in animations, cut scenes and movies. but. it's nice to see someone else point it out especially in the youtube comments section.

I wish I could get the b-reverse on the up B so consistently. Have literally lost games that could have been over if I had just nailed this simple input.
@@jesusmejia3417 B reverse is inputting a special in such a way that the character turns around while doing a move that would normally lock the direction they are facing. This is particularly useful for straight upwards angled Octaslash because the knockback direction is the direction Sephiroth is facing, but the hitboxes are so big that they can easily catch an opponent that is near the ledge or recovering with you, turning a recovery situation into a potential edgeguard or kill for Sephiroth. Typing this out makes me realize how ridiculous it sounds to even try to explain.
Beautiful performance like always! And nice reference to FF7 Remake! Sephiroth vs. Cloud will always be legendary to me, even the Sora vs. Sephiroth fights. I see that you and your mains have been REALLY busy, mostly Sephiroth.
One thing I find underappreciated about the fighter design in ultimate and most of sm4sh is that if you're playing the fighter optimally, they really feel like the character. For the fgc characters it's obvious, but a good inkling is always running around and managing ink. A good Sephiroth relies on punishing and baiting for shield breaks. It's really neat.
Ever since I've started watching these videos, I've started to realize exactly how lacking I was in my mental process. Baiting and reading have always been my forte in this game, but you are so much more observant than I am.

It's ambiguous. Some sources say it's 7 seconds before the end of the world, alluded to by one of the chapter titles in the chapter select screen, but who knows what "end of the world" refers to? Meteorfall? Some other disaster? A metaphor for Cloud's "world"? All I know is that I'll be spending hours breeding Chocobos in Remake 2. Seph's gonna have to wait.
Someone said it takes seven seconds for Sephiroth to show up and kill Aerith. Not sure if that's really what it alludes to. Anyway, Cloud's got those seven seconds to change their destiny and completely alter the course of the story. Because the remake not actually a remake but a continuation. Its Sephiroth from the future remaking the first game for his benefit. I think its really interesting
