I miss this old terminal 1 so much! it's been nearly 10 years since it was closed for the opening of terminal 2. It's really good to see it back this year after renovation, much better and more services than before. Thank u for sharing this video.

Subsidies, corruption, lack of long term planning, face, promotion for local official... there are so many reasons for this. The authorities build a bigger airport and anticipate many more fights. Maybe it will be so, maybe not...
It's so empty. I think nowadays people prefer to take high speed train than planes, coz the planes are ALWAYS delayed, especially the local flights. Hey, Georges, those massage chairs and treadmills actually are the so called sharing business. They put the facilities everywhere, airports, stations, shopping malls, etc. you don't have to buy one. pay when you use it. Should say, in China, no business without corruption. especially big projects. Hope one day there would be more cheap flights, that will enable average people especially the poor travel more. The Changsha airport is more easily reachable now. with highway and magnetic train, hopefully the metro will be connected soon. Bon voyage!
