I'm envious of your ground situation. I couldn't push an anchor into the ground at any time of year. When the ground freezes in SW Wyoming, it stays frozen until spring. Pounding stakes into the ground is hard on the body. Especially the elbows. I've had two elbow surgeries as proof. Drags or tying off to a tree don't always work. I was once tied off to what we call a cedar tree with chain. It could have 1" winch cable for all that mountain lion was concerned. When I check the trap the next day, not only was the trap and chain gone, the tree looked like like a mad man with an axe had gone through it. That lion destroyed the whole tree and took my trap with it. I pulled up to a coyote set one day and thought someone had used a backhoe to dig my trap up. It had been well below zero for a couple of weeks. That ground was like concrete for at least 2' below the surface. When I looked around, I found the stake and the cable. When I pulled on the cable, it pulled back. Have you ever tried to get a badger out of a hole with a gun in one hand and a shovel in the other? Things can get western very fast! Gotta love trapping in Wyoming. You should try it!
Hey trapper J......in regards to your racoon candy... have you though of using a lid like a bottle of glue with the brush/applicatior attached to the inside of the cap....would be great for just painting the rim of the dog proofs
@@TrapperJOutdoors I bet ppl would have zero issue paying an extra couple of bucks for the added convince.....and no other lure out there has that ....set your self apart even more from the rest of the pack!!!
Weed + Trapper J vid = A hell of a great time.

And puzzy 😂😂😂😂
Great video showing just how many nest raiders can infest a place. Can't wait to see how many more you get. Keep up the great work man.

Yo
I'm guessing 6 possum 2 skunks 22 racoons for the win
I'd like to try using some dog-proofs one day, but we don't really have anything here in Oz worth buying them for. :(
Grab that mongoose bike, frames and parts for the older ones can be quite valuable
