Two years ago when you caught so many beaver at the base of the hill of death, it hooked me. Between this place, and you knocking out the endless coyotes on Flairs ranch, that winter was one of your best on the trapline. But man, you put in the work to get us that footage ...hard yards.

Hey Trapper J just wanted to let you know that your audio sounded pretty good on video especially when you was down in the creek!! It definitely didn’t bother me and I could definitely hear everything that you was saying!! Now when you was up on top of the bank I could definitely tell it was windy!!!I’m in southern Iowa and it has definitely been windy here also!!! Awesome video!! I would definitely think that there might only be 4 beavers since you had caught all the beavers on that location two years ago!! Two adults and anywhere from 2 to maybe 4 little ones!! Bui I have definitely been wrong before catching beavers on a narrow road ditch that I had trapped 4 or 5 years ago!! There was very little beavers chewing and i caught beavers every day for over two weeks in a row!! My buddy that was trapping with me was an older gentleman and he kept telling me I should move my trap!! I said not until I don’t catch one!!! Lol!! He ended up pulling his trap and the exact next day was when I started catching them back to back!!
I could hear a good ol 2-Cylinder John Deere working when you got to the culvert! Some nice beaver!!

The wind during the day and calm at night is same here. One more for my mom's "MO is like Maryland" thing. Same weather, same temps, but not near as many beavers.

I don’t understand why the MDC doesn’t just make the season on beaver and otter the same. I just stop beaver trapping when otter closes so I don’t have to deal with it.

If you did get an otter, what happens? If it’s closed season do you get a fine, or loose the animal?
