    I do these cups all the time being that Im in the home of the gators in Gainesville Fl lol. But I don’t use the silicone mat for it I do the uv resins/nail light and soap bubbles method with color shift micas and add glow powder too they sell so good.

    That is so very cool and beautiful! Have you seen the dragon cups that's done with dish soap and a cup with water and a straw and you blow into the water to create extra bubbles then apply it to the cup? I know this is crocodile but to me they look very similar and that is such an easy process thanks for sharing

    AWESOME!!! What a cool idea. Turned out great! The color change of that powder is incredible! I have a suggestion. How about putting a sheet of cardboard (not corrugated paper) behind the silicone mat so the rubber bands don't leave a stronger impression where they're pressing down harder? Or was that even a problem? Of course, I had to order the mat. I got the torch, too. I bought a different one on amazon, and the sharp flame will suddenly burst into an inferno, sometimes all over the torch, as if it's going to explode. Obviously, I don't use it now. I don't find any color shift powder on the website you linked to. Thanks for a cool video!

    • @KristisCustomCreations
      @KristisCustomCreations  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching! That's a great suggestion about the cardboard but I actually didn't even have any issues with impressions from the rubber bands (maybe because I put so many rubber bands on 🤷🏼‍♀️). The color shifting Micas are on It's Pretty Personal's website under color shifting pigment.. here's the link directly to it 😊 itsprettypersonal.com/products/new-6m-extreme-chameleon-shift-pigment-1g-in-jar?_pos=7&_sid=a12eb450a&_ss=r

    awesome cup! I have a question: I have a picture of a dinosaur eye that I would like to incorporate into this pattern. At what point would you something like that? I want the scales around the eye to mix with that scale pattern. Do you think something like that is possible?

    • @KristisCustomCreations
      @KristisCustomCreations  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a great idea! I'm trying to think of the best way that you could do it and protect the image of the eye, unless you were to add the image of the eye afterwards. That's really a tough one.

    • @sworley1956
      @sworley1956 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @KristisCustomCreations
      @KristisCustomCreations  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sworley1956 you may be able to do that... It just might be difficult getting the eye to look like it's part of the whole thing and not just sitting on top of the epoxy

    Kristi after you brushed on the mica powder you sealed it with clear coat spray paint???? I am assuming thats what you did but all you said was after my spray paint was dry... so I was guessing that is how you sealed it. I am in process of making dragon tumblers for male family members for Christmas. It needed to know after sanding some of the sharp point down and putting on my chameleon color I need to seal it with clear. I hope you see this because I am in middle of making 5 of them. Also can you give me ant suggestions about sanding them. They are so sharp and needing to be knocked down. Thanks sorry but I am new at this tumbler making. hugs Sheryl 💙🎨💙

    • @KristisCustomCreations
      @KristisCustomCreations  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there! Yes, just deal with clear spray paint. I personally like to use rustoleum 2x gloss clear. You don't need much of it, just a light coat to seal it in. I hope your tumblers turn out awesome!

    • @KristisCustomCreations
      @KristisCustomCreations  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. Tumblerpoxy has a lower viscosity than most other Epoxy brands that I use. I love the fact that it flows so smoothly because it is easy to apply to the cup and gets really good coverage.

    Kristi what is your favorite fast set epoxy I need to order more and torn --- Ive been using the DIYEPOXY but has so many bubbles-- what would you recommend ?

    • @KristisCustomCreations
      @KristisCustomCreations  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      For this particular tumbler I used Stone Coat Quick Coat because it dries SO fast. If I need a fast set epoxy as a top coat, I use KS Resin Liquidy Split BUT you have to use it in a very warm environment or else it tries to dry sticky, Tumblerpoxy will be releasing a new epoxy soon called Swiftpoxy and its supposed to be a fast setting epoxy.. we will see!!!
