So glad to see a video on these! Its great to see someone who makes a good video out headlights and output! Can't wait to see the comparison on the morimotos, I tried the hybrids and they were terrible, fitment bad, light output disappointing and tons of errors. Haven't pulled the trigger on alphas, but I like these the best!
@@jtrut6365 I have the clear DRL Morimoto's on right now, and I will say, the results are AWESOME. I actually ordered two sets; one in amber, and one in clear. Expect to see a video with the amber and clear side-by-side so you can get an idea!
they came in today and installed them and oh man do they look good espcially with the drl. fitment wasnt perfect but wasnt too off didnt bother me. we will see how they endure overtime.
Awesome video. I have similar style but the pro version which comes with halogen bulbs. I must agrée the fitment is bad but I also had a bad fitment even with my oem headlight and RAM can’t do anything about it. But I wanted to know how you adjusted the headlights vertically as I can’t do it after installing. Thanks
You should be able to peek down the hole in the side of the fender and adjust with a phillips head. There is an arrow pointing at the home. First hole towards front of truck

Do you use a cb radio when you're off-roading? If you do, do you experience radio noise from those headlights. I've experienced radio RF noise with aftermarket headlights....curious because I really like those headlights. Thanks for the video
You didn’t have any issues with one DRL being brighter than the other? They have sent me two new headlights and my DRLs are still slightly different in brightness.
@@socalexpeditions I have bad OCD so mine probably isn't noticeable to the average person lol. You can change the DRL to orange/amber so I am going to try that.
@@midnightt6991 Yeah give that a try! I'm switching from the Morimoto back to Alpharex and am curious how I can change the DRL of one that doesn't offer amber to one that will!
@@socalexpeditions the 2500 G2 ones you can switch to amber. I just did it on mine. Theres a connector under one of the circular caps on the back of the headlight you just plug them into each other.
The Luxx series (the one in the video) has built in LED chips. So does the more expensive Nova series. The Pro series (the cheapest) comes with halogen bulbs, and most people buy those and put LED's in them. The Luxx series bulbs can not be replaced easily, so if it goes out, you'll likely have to replace the whole headlight.
Hello. Thanks for your awesome videos! "Liked & Subscribed!" One question for you- I noticed that when you first reviewed the Alpharex Luxx headlights you installed the "OG" ones that are a littler different than these "5th Gen Style" ones. The main difference seems to be the bottom light being smaller rather than same length as the bottom DRL light. Can you offer any thoughts on these "Mk1" vs "Mk2" Luxx lights? My truck is white with lots of chrome so I went with the Luxx Chrome headlights and they're only available (that I can find) in the newer "5th Gen"/"Mk2" style. Wondering if I'm missing out. Thanks! Keep up the great content!
Hey man! They are the same light with different features for the DRL and turn signal. I personally think these 5th gen ones have a better DRL strip. The other ones are more blotchy and the DRL’s look cheaper. Other than that, they function the same. All a matter of personal preference with the DRL’s!

Do not buy from alpha Rex. I paid like 900$ and they got fogged up etc. Any season they always fog up. I tried airing them out etc but nothing works. And alpha Rex won’t help. They keep replying to me by “ ohh did you install them in moist weather? Did you try air them out?” Always same excuses. I would not recommend AlphaRex.
Send me some links for copyright free music you’d like to hear and I’ll play it. Poetic Justice is a great song lol, it has to be remixed and slowed down to not be copyrighted.
I am finding wherever I can to report how terrible Alpha rex products are and their customer service. I had a set purchased for a toyota. Impossible to level them from the install and they did not want to help. Always the customers fault. I then had an issue that everyone kept flashing me and I later discovered the lights were constantly changing brightness on their own. shortly after that, the filled up with so much condensation that it looked like someone poured water into them. The units are not even a year old. I have been trying to work with Alpha Rex for months now and they keep telling me they are looking into it if I can ever get them to respond. Makes it impossible to drive your vehicle when the lights don’t work and there is no concern from the company to address. Absolutely horrible customer service.
I had a question about the headlights when u unlock the truck and watch the drls flash side to side and then come on how can I do that to mine through alfaobd any help would be greatly appreciated thank you
Thanks for watching! These lights are already sold! Secondly, I received NO lamp out errors with these headlights.

Plug in the yellow wire on the drivers side headlight

Thanks for watching!
Having trouble figuring out the "plug in yellow wire" on the DRL harness ... Mine came with no instructions
The yellow wire goes only to the drivers side headlight
How did you change the DRLs to orange? Is it with AlphaOBD?
No, you remove the cap where the light bulb normally goes and plug together the small connectors. Alpharex has an instructional on their website too.
You didn’t have any issues with one DRL being brighter than the other? They have sent me two new headlights and my DRLs are still slightly different in brightness.
