- In this video we decided to drive back up to wells-next-the-sea to pinewoods touring park taking advantage of the sun and one of our favourite destinations and ideal for walking , beaches , harbours & wildlife , not forgetting the town of wells itself , an unspoilt beautiful town in north norfolk

We live in Hampshire so the east coast is not somewhere we tend to visit, but you frenchies might just have sold it to us and we shall now put it on our list, especially wells.
definitely worth a visit , ideal for walks , beautiful old town & shops , nice harbour , best beach ever , we need to get down to the south coast but we prefer the unspoilt areas

I had a few other channel videos to catch up on but left yours to the last as I find yours the most entertaining & down to earth, just love seeing the pups running free & enjoying themselves, always makes me smile 😊 Thought you were going to get a clip from Kirsty with that "seal" joke Mike! Your van is looking great, be even better when you get the bike rack on.

hi Em just found this comment in “held for review” again , how strange , thats the 2nd time , wonder whats happening , sometimes the odd one goes there or if i get a nasty one it goes there but your comments are always nice and i have minimal restrictions apart from swear words that you can choose which words you dont want etc

It’s a pain, I hate to think people might think I’m rude not commenting😑 As not everyone checks the comments held section. I try keep them shorter now, in case it’s that I waffle type 🤣 X

Great vlog Mike. Pinewoods is now looking like my first trip out at May bank holiday can't wait to get back there.as you know Skye has had major surgery this week. we do have a trip to Somerset planned for Easter but it may come to soon.

Fab video Mike & Kirsty. We know every square inch of Wells, (Helen’s Dad is from there) and despite this, we enjoyed this Vlog as if we were seeing this North Norfolk gem for the first time. Cheers Dave & Helen 👍

Wow that was a close thing Mike ,,,,,, for one moment then I was thinking the dogs were not going to like the folding chairs you get them 🤣 Good to get the cobwebs blown away by that Easterly wind and how different the days away are when the BIG yellow thing is out ☀️😎 roll on the next video 👍🏻

I really enjoyed that video 😄! I was in Wells on the Weekend and the weather was so good ( but I didn’t stay in Wells though )! I don’t understand why they removed the Railway 🚃, it was so nice! I’m planning on visiting this holiday park in July which will be fun 🤩!
its such a shame they removed the train , some are saying its to make way for a bike path , others have said a shuttle bus to and from the town , not confirmed as yet , its such a lovely place hence why we always return.

Any progress with the fitting of the bike rack?
thanks robert glad you enjoyed it , no luck with the rack , we have now contacted 10 different people inc motorhome dealers and independent mobile habitation engineers etc , 4 of them are too busy and not really interested, the rest didn’t even return my calls or reply to my messages, Vantage will do it but they are 4hrs away and i cant get the time off ,very frustrating to say the least!
Hi Mike / Kirsten, love your videos, they are of particular interest to us as we live in Norwich area so we know the areas that you visit quite well. We have a Swift 694 atm and we are considering doing the same as your selves by getting a vantage or similar, please can you tell us what your approx m.p.g is. hi barry thanks for watching our video’s, i also researched the MPG before making the transition and really never came to any conclusion through lack of information online , to be honest i don’t think its been that much of a noticeable difference , its better but not by a lot , i thought it would be a significant difference due to less weight & of course , carrying less and a much smaller and lighter body , in our past coachbuilts we were getting 25-28mpg , our recent bolero was a bit better due to its low profile body , around 29-32mpg , our current van conversion will get 32mpg taking it easy & i’ve even had it up to 34mpg which was great but around town and on short journeys, a lot less , hope this helped a bit

Just watched your video or vlog what ever you call them in the field on my tractor , always enjoy your vlogs , been going to wells for years my sister has a static at pinewoods , I’ve got a tourer caravan but not been on the new site only the previous one ,it looks great as watched your wells visits before , we will book a pitch there at some point , we love kelling Heath and have a 10 night booking soon , will visit sister while there ,

We have booked to go to Wells for our main holiday in July. Staying at pinewood with our tourer but I have come across some very negative reviews bit worried
i’m sure it will be fine , we were regulars there up until last year when prices went up , a few complaints about noise too , people not adhering to rules at night etc but i suppose that could happen on any site especially in peak season , however we are also there in july at pinewoods in about 3 weeks time , we do love it for the location , walks , the town , the beach , the harbour etc

@@TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel we were right across the other side, nearer to the path leading to the pinewoods. Also reversed in to avoid the cold wind and to get the sunset. It looks like the forestry people have really churned up some of those lovely paths 😢. If you saw a guy on a big mobility scooter with two border terriers, that was us
@@RohanTheBT yeah couldn’t believe the amount of work they have done in those woods and down that path , probably cutting and pulling down all the damaged trees from storm Eunice
Lovely looking site but £45 a night really? Do you get your £45 pounds a nights worth in Value here?

cheers mike yes not the cheapest of sites but the location is worth it also depends on time of year , we paid £33 that night with dogs but does go up substantially during the summer months

Thank you for reply.The quote was for April just after the Kids Easter Holiday so maybe thats now classed as Summer? Btw your new Van seems to suit you both even though I Imagine there was some Compromises from changing from your Swift,, Vantage seems like a quality build looking at your recent videos

yes its a well built van , the swift was great it was just too long for us @ 8 Meters with bike on the back , we have got used to the current van now albeit carrying a lot less but the idea was to get to more rural locations eventually without stressing down the narrow lanes
