- Back in July, 2021, the team took a few moments out of a busy motion capture session to spend some time talking to the cast. Now that you know the full roster of Victims and Family members, it's time to meet the people bringing them to life. This is only the first in a series of behind the scenes content coming for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

It was so sweet hearing Kane talk about how carefully he tried to incorporate the late Gunner Hanson’s performance into the game, so his legacy can still live on. Good on everyone who’s working on this game.
Fun fact, Gunnar's scream when Leatherface cut his own leg was real. The armor plate they used to protect him got so hot from the friction created by the saw that it actually burned him.
Holy shit Johnny and Sissy look sick! They match the tone of the first movie perfectly! Every mocap actor really does a great job bringing out the personality of their respective characters!
Fr it actually seems like johnny and sissy could have been in the original they sound so good and every single mocap actor on set

Kane Hodder scared me as a kid, especially in Friday the 13th VII. He had me looking out my window to see if Jason might be walking down our suburban street to come to my house, but then the thoughts of, "Jason can't hurt me, I'm a kid, and Jason doesn't hurt kids, always protected my senses" it blows my mind that here in 2023 he's still doing his thing and that we'll get to perform his essence and energy into a character like Leatherface inside a video game so many years later. I'm hyped.
These MOCAP videos were one of my favorite parts of watching the Friday the 13th game being made. Glad to see the tradition being continued!!

4:01 this is curious, it seems family members will interact with each other at a certain point in the game. This one in particular feels like an animation that might play if victims escape from the family.
Or if they escape the basement being hooked or stabbed in the back

Just seeing how they portray the characters from the original film looks so authentic
TCM is one of my favourite horror films. Watched it an unhealthy amount of times and I gotta say they are nailing everything about the vibe.
The way the actors portray all the families idiosyncrasies is amazing.
Great to see more stuff, I'm excited! Glad to see it seems to keep to the dark serious tone of the first as opposed to the less good other movies! Those kills are going to look nasty in game!

It's so cool to see so many people working together to get every bit of motion capture for the game and the processes it requires. Also seeing Kane go ham with a real chainsaw is something special and a bit of a love letter to Gunnar.

3:15 I think this is really interesting: a family member binding one of the victims to a chair. I wonder when this will come into play in-game
It might be similar to how hooks work in dead by daylight. Or hypno chairs in that hide and seek horror game. Prop hunt I think it was

Yeah logging into F13 and seeing your level 95 be reset to level 1 via losing all your progress was beyond messed up

I doubt it would be an emote I think it will be a cutscene for leatherface if you don't get all the victims at the end of the match

So great to see the enthusiasm of the team. And of course, the mighty legend Kane Hodder!! TCM is such an iconic movie and THE movie to have seen when I was a kid. When I finally watched it dubbed to Russian on a blurry VHS it was scary as hell, but not at all so gory as most other horror movies. Was a bit disappointed actuallyt. Later on, I watched it again and it struck me how good it actually was compared to many other horror movies of that time. Looking forward to the full game!

Studios should do more behind the scenes content, really gives you a glimpse of the colossal amount of work is needed to produce a game. People should be more aware of this kinda thing before complain about a delay

If there’s is one thing I’ve learned about asymmetrical multiplayer horror games is that whenever they release, bet a ton of your money on their downfall since there’s a 100% success rate in their failure when it comes to these games (ever since 2017). They NEVER last past 6 months. I’m serious, it’s a huge financial gain to bet against other people who think these games stand a chance against DbD.
Give it a chance, man. It seems like some people WANT this game to fail.

@Jedi Survivor That doesn’t destroy my premise at all. Jason’s a significantly better known horror icon than most, but that’s not to discredit Bubba, he’s just not nearly as popular as Jason. Gun Media struck gold upon acquiring the rights to F13 the game but that was all the way back in 2017 and it was the last successful asymmetrical multiplayer horror game. We’ve had Last Year, Hide Or Die, VHS, Deceit, Evil Dead: The Game, Predator: Hunting Grounds, Secret Neighbor, Demonical, Survival Ground, and two dinosaur asymmetrical games which are so buried in time that I can’t find their names anymore. The only games that have ever survived are DbD and F13. Texas Chainsaw Massacre might have a chance since Leatherface is a horror character straight from a movie but even then I’m very sure this game won’t last as Evil Dead, the most recent show icon who got its own game, flopped faster than all the other games.

I hope they take as much time as needed. Asymmetrical horror games typically fall victim to the same traps over and over. Firstly of that is being content, these games need to have content and steadily, it’s one of the main reasons DBD has been on top for so long. I do like how they are making original characters as well, step in the right directions
