@@mana_beast_beats1114 I don't use Fami-Studio, I use FL Studio/Cubase for my main daw And most of the instrument is soundfont, if Fami-Studio or Reason doesn't support soundfont, you can use TX16 sampler for soundfont. Shreddage X is a Kontakt guitar library made by Impact Soundworks. It's what Toby uses, Revalver is a guitar amp sim

It became noticeably different from the original at 1:19, which is very impressive. The vast majority of it sounds very similar.
If you want to make it sound closer to the original, track 9 will need some tweaking. One of the notes doesn’t sound staccato enough.
Apart from a few examples of slightly different levels of staccato/legato that I noticed, I was utterly astonished at how accurate the vast majority of it sounds.

Holy cow. How did you managed to recreate the “synth rock guitar” as I like to call it at 0:23. The instrument that sounds kinda like a guitar but is mostly chiptune, I’ve tried to recreate it and find it but to no avail. Thats amazing.

@@OliverOnic I didn't missed anything, if you are referring to the delay of the viola, its there in my video just audibly quieter because I don't want to muddy my mix. and both of them sit left and right for the Your Best Friend motiff and the harmony on the right side. Its just I don't pan it completely

If you don't mind me asking, how do you get good at recreating songs? Like are there certain do's or don'ts in the process? Any particular skills and things to practice that are necessary?
Honestly? Through a crapton of trial and error and friends who are just as passionate at recreating the songs and noticing the minute detail of the song. Eg: there's a choir playing on the right side during the break part of the song along with the piano

I'm speechless. What instruments are you using for the guitar, strings, etc?! I've looked for high quality instruments like that for so long but they're all so expensive. I'm guessing yours are too, but could you hit me up with some of resources you're using?
The list is like, super long, but I can give you a brief explanation on what I use
I use Shreddage X and Shreddage Picked Bass for the backing, both are used in NI Kontakt, the X is amped with Revalver MK3.5, which is a guitar amp simulation plugin
And then, I used SGM v2.01 soundfont for the drums (POWER Drums), strings and piano (Piano 1, detuned -100 cents). As for the Viola and Glockedspiel, I use THInst/THFont soundfont, both are detuned -100 and the glockenspiel is played together with the piano.
As for the lead, I used UGK (ultimate guitar kit) soundfont with MIDI velocity above 100 but below 127, amped with Revalver again with Power Metal preset. Oh and I forgot to mention all of these revalver preset is from Shreddage Preset bank, by Impact Soundworks, the same guy who made Shreddage.
For the duty cycle, refer to this picture

This is very accurate, however there are some things here and there that makes it far from being 100%. It adds to the sound though, and I like this more than the original song to be honest.
why is it I cant get any difference about the original and this? Ah yes...your Hopes and dreams were that powerfull it allowed you to create the masterpiece on your own...it fills you with determination.
Just a question, why don’t you like posting the flps? It’s your choice and I respect it but something like this would be incredible for studying purposes
Because firstly it is very common in UTSC to use other people's flp and modifying a little and then claiming as theirs. And second case, it enables midi slapping, like for example like how Sammusic make "megalovania but its X thing" whenever his fanbase tells him what X thing he should do next. For me, I don't support midislapping as it enables mediocrity and stagnating to the point you are learning nothing as you know, you are just slapping the notes on top of pre-mixed instrument from a midi and not bothering to re-arrange for a bit to fit in with the "but its x theme".
find a meme you like online and then put Megalovania at the back and see how many of them follows the same Overdriven Guitar, and then with OD bass and then Strings Rhythm Guitar combo and then back to Square Rhythm Combo. I assure you will find many of it and even more of them is off-key and the notes didn't fit in correctly.
At least, that's my opinion on it, I may release it later as I am done with UNDERTALE and I will probably make it with better mixing than this.

That's because the patch is in a bank made by Impact Soundworks for Shreddage X library back then when they partnered with Peavey (revalver makers)

Here's the actual file, put in in banks folder, where you have installed Revalver on (on ProgramFiles for example). If you open revalver back, it would show as "Shreddage Preset". The patch is in it.

Squidfont Orchestral, patch Violin Detache I, boost in the high mids, crank Fruity Reverb mix to around 40% or so and you have it.

@@alisterazimuth9003 Like I explain on here somewhere, the UGK MIDI velocity is above 100 but below 127 because that is the original sample triggered like in the OG, its a guitar sample with vibrato, anywhere below it triggers a normal sustain and 127 triggers a slide down.
Next it needs to be amped with Revalver HPSE/3.5 (whatever you have atm as long as its not 4) with the bank Shreddage Preset with the patch Power Metal inside.
Afterwards match eq it according to your ears and then put Fruity Delay 2 with 3:00 time for delay, adjust the feedback and cutoff and the input gain and you basically have all of it set.
