Jacob died in Egypt, and there his sons multiplied. When Pharaoh attempted to enslave the Israelites, there arose a controversy about the observance of the Sabbath. They were to hold "a feast" to the Lord instead of working on that day. Exodus 5:1. Pharaoh objected, demanding that they work. But they refused to work. "And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens. And Pharaoh said, Behold the people of the land now are many, and ye cause them to REST from their burdens." Exodus 5:2-5. See also verse 17. In the original text (the Hebrew) we read literally: "And ye cause them to sabbatize from their burdens." Here is used the same verb shabath which is employed in Genesis 2: 2, 3, but here it is used in the causative form (Hiphil) as to make or cause to rest or sabbatize. Forty years later, when recounting the story of the Exodus of his people from Egypt, Moses reminded them of the difficulty of Sabbath observance which they had under the tyranny of Pharaoh. Deuteronomy 5:12-15
Should christians keep the sabbath? YES they should! the sabbath was originally kept on The Old Law. since Jesus was not remove the Old Law then The Christian sholuld keep it. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished Matt 5:18
Correct. We also see Jesus Christ emphasizing the importance of Sabbath on Matthew 24 verse 20. Jesus Christ was only opposing the pharisaic restrictions of Sabbath which were not taught in Law of Moses and Prophets.
Hello friends, Pastor Fred here in Rockwood TN. Thank you brother for this breakdown. Well thought out and presented. Good information to start the year off with!!! May the Lord continue to bless you.
@BibleBikerChurch I’m glad you enjoyed the video. If you think our channel is worthy of sharing would you please share it with your friends and family?
It is also interesting to note that Jesus was the One who made the Sabbath day in that creation week. Indeed, many overlook the fact that the God who created the world and made the Sabbath was Jesus Christ Himself. The apostle John wrote: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. ... And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth" (John 1:1-3, 14). The apostle Paul also identified Jesus as the Creator: "The Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood. ... By Him all things were created" (Colossians 1:13-16). Thus, there was a reason for Jesus' claim to be Lord of the Sabbath (Mark 2:28). If He is Lord of the Sabbath day, then the Sabbath must be the Lord's day. According the Revelation 1:10, John had a vision on "the Lord's day," which means his vision occurred on the seventh day. The Sabbath is the only day so designated as "the Lord's Day" and the only one claimed by God in the Bible. In writing the Ten Commandments, God called it the "Sabbath of the Lord" (Exodus 20:10). In Isaiah He is quoted as saying, "The Sabbath ... My holy day" (Isaiah 58:13).
You are confusing the ceremonial sabbaths with the Sabbath of the 10 commandments. Not suggestions. Jesus had said "pray that your flight be not on the Sabbath" Matt 24:20. Christians were still expected to keep the Sabbath till the end. Sunday observance came as a result of the compromising early church trying to avoid persecution. There are no commands to keep the first day of the week. Jesus was fulfilling the law to be an example, not to disregard it. We are saved by grace but keeping the law shows our faith in Him that gave us the gift of the perfect, simple law. Revelation 20:12
It would be emotionally hard for Christians to flee Jerusalem and leave Jewish family and friends who might refuse to flee on the sabbath. It would be physically hard if it was winter. Jesus was assuming they would in fact leave on a Sabbath if they needed to.
@@thedowntoearthchristian you missed the point. Christ prophesied the sabbath sabbath would be around with that prophecy. Emotions also have nothing to do with it, as it would be emotionally hard to leave family any day of the week. Please repent you are grasping at air here. If you don’t have a Scriptural explanation for that verse then refrain your speech and study. Hard to leave? It’s true if it were not for the fact that Jesus told them to leave everything and not go back to get anything as they flee Matthew 24:16-20. So the gates being smaller on the sabbath wouldn’t hinder them if they followed Jesus commands to the letter, and seeing how the Jews were at that time binding extra laws to the sabbath to make it a burden their would be less traffic so if anything it would be easier to leave on the sabbath, but because you cannot exert extra work, that is run to make the day about physical recovery, that would make it difficult but if they weren’t keeping sabbath then it would be no problem to just leave at speed.
@@thedowntoearthchristian Jesus prophesied this would happen 40 years before it happened. If the Sabbath was done away with on the cross...why would He even mention this?
You forgot to mention that God Sanctified and Hallowed the seventh day at creation. Literally, set apart for a Holy purpose. For who? Himself? No, for fellowship with His creation. It is a day of connection and of seeking in a way that cannot be done during the 6 workdays. Even Adam had work to do in the garden and it is likely it was on the seventh day that God would walk with Adam in the evening. Also, the claim that the Sabbath Law wasn't given or known about before Mt Sinai in chapter 18 is ruled out because in chapter 16 they were commanded not to harvest or work on the seventh day Sabbath. Did God show Moses the trailer of the Sinai show coming up? Not likely. It likely would have been known but not practiced because of their time in slavery. Adam and Eve and their decedents also would have honored and kept that Hallowed day to commemorate creation and glorify the Creator by communing with Him. It would have been known through the lineage of Enoch, Methuselah and Noah. There is no explicit command by Jesus or His apostles to change the day of worship. Indeed, we read that the gentiles were taught in the synagogue on the seventh day Sabbath, after Christ had ascended. We are grafted in to the vine of Israel and that original day of fellowship would have reamined. God is not the author of confusion. and there is no explicit Command to change something that was Hallowed and Sanctified at the beginning. The scriptural evidence for Sunday gathering and fellowship is as weak as sanctifying adultery because Christ said to love your neighbor as yourself. When in doubt, default to what God actually said not what we think He meant.
Colossians 2:16 Therefore, no one is to act as your judge in regard to food and drink, or in respect to a festival or a new moon, or a Sabbath day. NASB.
@@BLAM777 Please do not take the Scriptures out of context to bring it into contradiction. Here the context of Colossians 2:16, it is Colossians 2:17, now tell me how the sabbath is a prophecy and how pointing backwards to creation is pointing forward to Christ. The sabbath days spoken of in Colossians is not the 4th commandment for by the very definition of the 4th Commandment it is not a shadow of things to come. It points backwards not forwards wholly exempting it from The context, the sabbath mentioned is the Leviticus 23 feast day sabbaths, which are seperate from the 4th Commandment Leviticus 23:38. Rest as God did as He commands in Hebrews 4:2-10 KJV. If we are to rest AS God did, how did He rest? No doubt on the 7th day. Listen not to teachers that will nurture disobedience, they expose themselves, be not comforted by them, but seek the Lord your God. He will she’s you the way in which you are to walk and love. 1 John 2:3-6. “Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit. Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not; And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?” Jeremiah 7:8-10

@@BLAM777 Festival, or a new moon, or "a" sabbath day. These were special days selected for certain days. The Passover is an example. It was referred to as a Sabbath. The 7th day Sabbath is The Sabbath. defined/identified/designated as The Sabbath hallowed by God, made holy. I'm not saying the Passover was not holy but it is a once a year time. Not a every 7th day Sabbath that was given to mankind for rest from the work of the week, a rejuvenation for the coming week, and above all, a gift from our Creator God. We receive a Sabbath blessing when we honor God and teach our children to obey God Him by "remember the Sabbath day" and " if you love me, keep my commandments ".
Thank you for the lesson. I'm enjoying the comment section almost as much as your sermon! I learned something new from you, and I also get an enjoyable example of proverbs 27:17 from the comments.
Great information Martin! Well presented and looking forward to more Bible lessons! You made this lesson easy to understand and pray for eyes to be opened. So many try and make the Bible confusing and hard to understand. God bless you and Happy New Year!
Very brave of you and your family to take on this topic. God bless you. I’m only six minutes into the video while also reading comments and boy are people coming at you… harshly. I disagree with you, I believe that we’ll honor Sabbath in heaven and that Jesus, Paul, Abraham, Adam and many other’s honored the Sabbath of Genesis 2:2 which was before the Jews and even the fall. I’m saddened to see so many of us yelling at you through our keyboards. I believe honoring the Sabbath is extremely important but I think a relationship with Christ is more important and He’ll take it from there if we truly surrender to Him. Again, God Bless and may the Lord continue to lead and guide you and your family in winning souls for His kingdom.
Protestants ... accept Sunday rather than Saturday as the day for public worship after the Catholic Church made the change... But the Protestant mind does not seem to realize that ... in observing Sunday, they are accepting the authority of the spokesman for the Church, the pope. -Our Sunday Visitor, February 5th, 1950.
For Christians to separate Jesus from the Sabbath is a mistake, for He is the Author, the Maker, the Sanctifier, and the Architect of the Sabbath. To discount the blessing He placed on that day is to deny Him and His authority over our lives.
Does the New Tesament describe the end time Christians to be believers in the Testimony of Jesus and followers of the 10 commandments? What is the Testimony of Jesus?
Exo 31:16 Therefore the *people of Israel* shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a covenant * forever *. Exo 31:17 It is *a sign forever between me and the people of Israel* that in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.’”
It is well to remind the Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, and all other Christians, that the Bible does not support them anywhere in their observance of Sunday. Sunday is an institution of the Roman Catholic Church, and those who observe the day observe a commandment of the Catholic Church. -Priest Brady, in an address, reported in the Elizabeth, NJ ‘News’ on March 18, 1903.
Scripture clearly teaches there is the ceremonial law and there is the decalogue - the ten commandments, the moral law of God. And in Romans 3 Paul refutes the idea of making void the law of God. What law? He is speaking of course about the decalogue -the ten commandments, he writes we establish the law of God. Romans 3. And then read Romans 8 to help apply it spiritual. For because Christ has fulfilled the law then the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us. This is why it is important to know all of God's word and to teach ALL of God's word. In Genesis 2, it reads God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it. It is part of the moral law. However, as a Christian the spiritual application of the Sabbath has moved from the last day of the week to the first day of the week ever since Christ's resurrection. Mark 2 reminds us that the Sabbath was made for man... When was it made? At creation! This is a creation ordinance just as marriage, procreation, and labor are also creation ordinances. And this is why at the beginning of the fourth commandment it reads, "remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy." Scripture agrees that the ceremonial law has been abrogated, but not God's moral law. Christ even forces the moral law upon the heart by teaching that even if you hate your brother in your heart you have committed murder. And Christ says, if you love me keep my commandments. Praying for you!
Of course these two old quotations are exactly correct. The Catholic Church designated Sunday as the day for corporate worship and gets full credit - or blame - for the change. -This Rock, The Magazine of Catholic Apologetics and Evangelization, p.8, June 1997
Christ also taught that "the Sabbath was made for man" (Mark 2:27). Jesus used the term "man" in the generic sense, referring to mankind. The fact is that Adam and Eve were the only "mankind" in existence at the time God made the Sabbath. There would be no Jews in the world for at least 2,000 years after creation. Marriage was also introduced at creation. Woman was made for man (Genesis 2:22) as the Sabbath was made for man. Certainly no one believes that marriage was made only for the Jews.
I suggest you look into the origins of Sunday keeping as Sabbath rather than Saturday. Then ask yourself, will I obey God or man? As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord, because Jesus did away with the laws of ordinances, but God’s 10 commandments were written in stone, and have never been changed by God. Therefore, we keep the seventh-day as Sabbath. And no, I have no permanent allegiance to any church denomination, but we worship with others who keep the seventh-day Sabbath. Don’t believe me, study it for yourself.🥰
@@thedowntoearthchristian My point exactly. If you are responding to me, you are preaching to the choir. As I said, people should look into the origins of Sunday keeping. According to the unchanged 10 Commandments, the seventh day, not Sunday is the Sabbath.
I was waiting through your talk for an explanation of where the idea came from that Sunday is the Sabbath day. The Bible says that the seventh day is the Sabbath. I also didn't hear who was given permission for people to honor Sunday instead of the seventh day.
Deciever works to get MAN/adoms to not follow Fathers Wotd. ECC 12 13 When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is this: FEAR YAH/GOD and KEEP His COMMANDMENTS, because this is the WHOLE DUTY OF MAN.
Question? Why is the Sabbath still in effect in God’s (future coming) Kingdom? (Isaiah 66:22-23) If the Sabbath is kept from the beginning, at creation and AFTER the ascension of Jesus into the heavens (Acts 13:42-44) (Luke 23:56) and also into the (future) Kingdom, how can you say that it is not in effect now? Also there isn’t a single verse to corroborate your words on the Sabbath, not a single verse agrees with you. If you have one please share it, which you CANNOT because your words are from a man made philosophy NOT a God given truth. We would love to see that verse on how Sunday was switched to replace God’s Holy Day the Sabbath!

If Jesus kept the sabbath and Paul kept the sabbath and John the revalator don’t you think we should. Isn’t that’s what the word CHRISTIAN means follower of Jesus. Sunday keepers always goes back to the covenants when yet Paul talks about the law as part of the new covenants. Sabbath was kept until 321 AD. Then Constantine changed it to the first day. The Bible doesn’t say it was changed from 7th day to first day. Brother you need to learn your bible rather than going of every other Sunday keepers knowledge their wrong.
@ANTON.3247 if you want to keep just 1 commandments as the Sabbat let me let you know that you need to fulfill the whole law given by Moses good luck with that James 2 10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. Guess what around 240 commandments that in this time are no longer able to fulfill because THERE IS NOT TEMPLE, the salvation is not by works is by grace because it is a gift from God , from Jesus He gave us His blood, He fulfill the whole law for us, there is not sacrifice that we can make to obtain salvation. Mr Martin great job
@@thedowntoearthchristian If you read (Acts 15) if you notice (verse 1 and 5) there was a group of Sect of the Pharisees that kept their beliefs from their sect of Judaism, which said to be saved a person had to be “circumcised” first THEN join their sect of Jewish Faith to become SAVED. Now, notice (verse 5) there is a contrast between keeping the law AND being circumcised. You see there was only one part of the question that was correct (keeping the law), however, circumcision is NOT required for salvation. (Verse 9) again talks about this man made belief being a YOKE. (Verse 21) says that the new believers will continue their training at the synagogue on the sabbath (not Sunday) where these new Gentile converts will learn the rest of the law.
@@marioch22 So are you saying that it is ok to break any of the commandments, or do you get to pick and choose which commandments you are going to keep? The New Testament just doesn’t agree with your beliefs! (Romans 7:7) What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. (Romans 7:12) Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. (Romans 7:25) I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. Another question? Are we to abandon doing good works? Because my Bible says that works are required!!! Not your FAITH only statement. Faith and Works are supposed to combine and work together. (James 2:17) I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. (James 2:24) Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. The Bible even says that by our works we will be judged!! (Revelation 20:13) And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their WORKS.
@@SouthernGardensHomestead OK, you basically say that you do not break the law just because you keep the Sabbat? , how do you perform sacrificial commandments? How do you perform the jubilee? Are you living eye for eye, leg by leg?, do you kill people with stones when they break the law? The Bible says that if break just one commandments, you break all James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. Mat 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
It is called "the Sabbath of the Lord" (Exodus 20:10), for instance, but never "the Sabbath of the Jews." Luke was a Gentile writer of the New Testament and often made reference to things that were peculiarly Jewish - he wrote of the "nation of the Jews," the people of the Jews, the "land of the Jews," and the "synagogue of the Jews" (Acts 10:22; 12:11; 10:39; 14:1). However, Luke never referred to the "Sabbath of the Jews" although he mentioned the Sabbath repeatedly
the Sabbath could never have been just a type or shadow of anything - for the simple reason that it was made before sin entered the human family. Certain shadows and types were instituted as a result of sin and pointed forward to our deliverance from sin.

To me it seems unaccountable that Jesus, during three years' discussion with His disciples, often conversing with them upon the Sabbath question, discussing it in some of its various aspects, freeing it from its false [Jewish traditional] glosses, never alluded to any transference of the day; also, that during the forty days of His resurrection life, no such thing was intimated. Nor, so far as we know, did the Spirit, which was given to bring to their remembrance all things whatsoever that He had said unto them, deal with this question. Nor yet did the inspired apostles, in preaching the gospel, founding churches, counseling and instructing those founded, discuss or approach the subject. Of course I quite well know that Sunday did come into use in early Christian history as a religious day as we learn from the Christian Fathers and other sources. But what a pity that it comes branded with the mark of Paganism, and christened with the name of the sun-god, then adopted and sanctified by the Papal apostasy, and bequeathed as a sacred legacy to Protestantism. -Dr. E. T. Hiscox, report of his sermon at the Baptist Minister's Convention, in 'New York Examiner,' November 16, 1893
The Holy Scriptures reveal that the week of "seven days" was in use in the days of Noah. Genesis 7:4, 10; 8:10, 12. God says: "Abraham obeyed My voice, and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws." Genesis 26:5. The "week" is also spoken of as an institution well known by Jacob and his kindred in Mesopotamia. Genesis 29:27, 28. Commenting on Genesis 31:23, Josephus, the Jewish historian of the first century, says of Laban's pursuit of Jacob: "And on the seventh day [he] overtook them, and found them resting on a certain hill."
I thought I was the only one who knew these things. ButI thought he was going to go deeper, so I will. Jesus let his disciples pick grain on the sabbath when they was hungry. The pharisees asked Jesus why he was letting them and Jesus gave them examples how people in the past broke the sabbath, and was blameless. Not only that, but they tried to trick Jesus afterwards and tried to see if he would heal a man with a withered hand on the sabbath. Jesus told that man to stretch his hand out and he would be healed, and the man was healed(which was work in the sabbath). Sorry to bust the bubbles of the Christians that didn’t know better, but, WE DON’T HAVE TO KEEP THE SABBATH.
I have a question. Didn't Jesus get in trouble with the Pharisees for healing on the Sabath and he told them that the sabbath wasn't meant to keep someone from doing good deeds? I can't say where it was in the bible I just remember this much. So, some of this gets confusing. I know that we are supposed to gather together. I agree with what you say, I am just wondering how this was not against the law when you were not even allowed to pick up a stick. I hope I am asking this right
The Catholic Church designated Sunday as the day for corporate worship and gets full credit - or blame - for the change.” This Rock, The Magazine of Catholic Apologetics and Evangelization, p.8, June 1997 "The Church, on the other hand, after changing the day of rest from the Jewish Sabbath, or seventh day of the week, to the first, made the Third Commandment refer to Sunday as the day to be kept holy as the Lord's Day." The Catholic Encyclopedia, 'Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change was her act. And the act is a mark of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters.' C. F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons, in answer to a letter regarding the change of the Sabbath, November 11, 1895.
Why would He need to make the seventh day Holy and sancifiy it if it wasnt for man??? Did He do it for Himself? What are we to do with the day He made Holy and Sanctified? Ignore it?
Good Evening Pastor, great understanding. Happy New Year to you and your family; I am a born-again christian for 9 yrs. and what the Holy Spirit (Jesus) has taught me, I would like to share with you. The word Sanctify means to be HOLY. We know that the Israelites were baptized by the Holy Spirit, that was lead by the "ROCK"- Jesus 1 Corin. 10:1-5. Praise God. A person who does not have the Holy Spirit is called gentiles, until they were sanctified by the Holy Spirit, In the Book of Zechariah 3:1-10, is how God washes us clean, He removes us from Satan Kingdom & removes our filthy garment (sin) and clothes us with a rich garment (Holy Spirit) and places a new turben on our heads, which is the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2), to have the mind of Christ. In the book of Romans 8:9 but you are not in the "FLESH" (Gal. 5:19-21 is sin) but the Spirit, IF indeed the Spirit of God (2nd baptism - Born of God - 1 Jn 3::9) dwells in you. Now "IF" anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, (Jn 3:1-5 - 1st baptism), he is not HIS. The true Israelites are the Born-again Christian, and the gentiles are without Christ and in Acts. 15:1-9 is another reference to that fact: it speaks of the uncircumcised of heart and Spirit (without Christ), In Romans, 2:25-29 explains more in details in verses 28-29.. In the book of Galatians Chapterr 4 explains the 2 Covenants, 1)Bondage -Hagar = Ismael (EGYPT) and FREEWoman (Sarah - without sin = Jerusalem - Isaac). to help you understand what I am saying, we know there are Laws (Exodus 20 & Lev 26), and Spiritual laws (Romans 7:14). On the spiritual level, Egypt represents sin and enslaved by Lucifer (Lev. 26:1-14, Jn --10:10--, Hosea 7:1-5) How did Abraham sin, when he was married to Sarah and committed adultery when he laid with Hagar, an bore a child out of wedlock ( 10- generational sin - Deut. 23:3), then Abraham received a child from his Wife (marriage covenant), born a son Isaac, the promise to be heir to Christ. That is the role of over Christrian to be an Heir to God, to die to self (die to sin), to Let Christ resurrect us permenately from sin, because we are dogs that go back to the vomit. Now this is the process to be a Child of God, to be lead by the Spirit of God. We are to fasting and praying as we bring a sin offering to the LORD and he destroy the works of satan in our flesh. Hebrew 5:1-2, Isaiah 58:6, Hosea :1-2) In Romans 8:13-14= For if you live according to the flesh you will die (spiritual death), but if by the Spirit of put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. verse 14 if very clear: 14)For as many as are led by the "Spirit of GOD" (not the Holy Spirit who comes in Jesus name -Jn --14:26--), these are sons of GOD. We can be baptised by the Holy Spirit in Jesus name, that is by Spirit and Water and still sin, and once we sin, God judges us on the way we sin, and become a slave to sin again (Zech 1:6 & Jn --8:34---36. We must be born of God is the POWER, the COMPLETION - 2 Corn, chapters 12 &13). In Galatians 5, God states if we have sinned, the "WHOLE" law of Moses applies to us, but if we Crucified our flesh with passion, and put to death the deeds of the flesh, We completed the Whole law.- means we are "SANCTIFIED" = HOLY WE DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE LAW, WE ARE LIKE JESUS = WHO RECEIVED THE POWER AS THE OVERCAME SATAN IN THE GARDEN AND RECEIVED THE POWER . STUDY LUKE 4:1-14- SLOWLY. the Wilderness is the Wilderness of sin (Exodus 17:1 - Egypt) Jesus was baptized and "FILLED" with the HOLY Spirit, and was lead into the Wilderness of Sin, and was tempted by Lucifer 3 times, Jesus overcame Lucifer by not sinning, and Jesus left the wilderness in the "Power" of the Father, Jesus is ONE with GOD. The disciples of Jesus received the Holy Spirit when Jesus resurrected himself and he blew on them and say, receive the HOLY SPIRIT - Jn 20. on the Day of Penecost, the disciples received the POWER. The Only disciple would did not change his old (ways) man and put on Christ is Judas Iscriot, who is a traitor, What was Judas sins? Greed, stealing, lying and murder Jesus). So, any person, who does not change and put on Christ, is a traitor to God, 1 Corinthians 15: 1-23. Put on Christ. verses 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead (we fell asleep -Christian), then Christ is not risen. 14) and if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. If a Christian sin, we die. verse 56) The sting of death is sin, and the strenth of sin is the law. And when our temple that houses the Holy spirit and demons (Luke 11:17-18) is divided, we can not stand, but fall into sin and recaptured by satan (Luke 19:42-45), and now if our temple is completed filled with darkness (Lk 11: 24-36) than it will be forth death , literal death (James 1:14-15) . Lets start fasting 3 day or more and be completely set free from the chains of sin. Jesus clearly states, If he dwells within us, and he resurrect us, we shall lie, but not die (John 11:25-16). So. let us Walk in the Spirit, and be under the Whole law of Moses, once we receive the Kingdom of God. In 1 Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in the word, but in the POWER. Lets ask ourselves, who is the Word, the answer is Jesus, the 1st baptism, and The Power is Father. the 2nd baptism.. Jesus stated Mark 14:62 I am, And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the POWER (Father), and coming with the clouds of heaven. lastly: in Matthew 12:8 For the Son of Man is LORD even of the SABBATH. He is the Sabbath. God bless you, and thank you for your knowledge and wisdom of the Holy scriptures. Blessings from NY
If you read the Bible, you see God has the sabbath before give the 10 Commandments in 10 Commandments. He said remember with something he was and he will be forever. It’s a holy day, so Christian doesn’t know what they mean holy or SIN or lawlessness they gotta read the New Testament about the lawlessness
Q. Must not a sensible Protestant doubt seriously, when he finds that even the Bible is not followed as a rule by his co-religionists? A. Surely, when he sees them baptize infants, abrogate the Jewish Sabbath, and observe Sunday for which [pg. 7] there is no Scriptural authority; when he finds them neglect to wash one another's feet, which is expressly commanded, and eat blood and things strangled, which are expressly prohibited in Scripture. He must doubt, if he think at all. ... Q. Should not the Protestant doubt when he finds that he himself holds tradition as a guide? A. Yes, if he would but reflect that he has nothing but Catholic Tradition for keeping the Sunday holy; ... -Controversial Catechism by Stephen Keenan, New Edition, revised by Rev. George Cormack, published in London by Burns & Oates, Limited - New York, Cincinnati, Chicago: Benzinger Brothers, 1896, pages 6, 7
Act 20:7 = the gentile only break bread for eat they never worship on that first day, 1 Corinthians 16:1 = the gentile only collecting money not do worship on the first day, the two verse is only theory that the gentile worship every day on first day and that not the fact that written on the Bible.
But Paul himself expressly declared that he had kept the law. “Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all." Acts 25:8. How could this be true if he had not kept the Sabbath? The Sabbath is mentioned in the New Testament fifty-nine times, and always with respect, bearing the same title it had in the Old Testament, “the Sabbath day.” Not a word is said anywhere in the New Testament about the Sabbath's being abolished, done away, changed, or anything of the kind. God has never given permission to any man to work upon it. Reader, by what authority do you use - the seventh day for common labor? No Christian of the New Testament, either before or after the resurrection, ever did ordinary work upon the seventh day. Find one case of that kind, and we will yield the question. Why should modem Christians do differently from Bible Christians? There is no record that God has ever removed His blessing or sanctification from the seventh day. As the Sabbath was kept in Eden before the fall, so it will be observed eternally in the new earth after the restitution. (Isaiah 66:22, 23.) The seventh-day Sabbath was an important part of the law of God, as it came from His own mouth, and was written by His own finger upon stone at Sinai. (See Exodus 20.) When Jesus began His work, He expressly declared that He had not come to destroy the law. “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets.” Matthew 5:17 Jesus severely condemned the Pharisees as hypocrites for pretending to love God, while at the same tune they made void one of the Ten Commandments by their tradition. The keeping of Sunday is only a tradition of men.
Should Christians keep the Sabbath? @17:30 No biblical record before the Exodus… Genesis 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. @4:50 There was a mixed multitude present, consisting of all nations. 1Corinthinians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. @17:30 Under means in debt to, not subject to. We can never be above the law, we can only fall short of the Law, Jesus brings us back to 0. Legalism teaches that we can gain a positive position in relation to the Law, and by some type of point system good deeds can outweigh sins. Acts 15 Is addressing the question, does a person need to first be circumcised before they can be saved? The answer is no. It asks specifically “after the manner of Moses” manner, not Law. Manner is G1485 ethos, properly translated means customs/traditions man made regulations. Verse five tells us these were Pharisees, New Testament troublemakers. The list in verse 20 is also not needed before a person can be saved, it is for fellowship. After the list for fellowship, the sanctification process begins in verse 21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day. Sabbath is not a burden, it is one of Gods greatest blessings. Sabbath was not the topic of discussion, the context of Acts 15 is what prevents salvation. You don’t need to keep Sabbath before you can be saved. @15:30 KJV Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. There do you see the word “is” is in italics, in the KJV it is in italics, meaning it was added in the translation. Now for simple understanding purposes (because according to Peter, Paul is hard to understand) we take out that word “is” Paul’s list of things, and Paul’s statement of fact that they are (not were) to come. Let no man therefore judge you, but the body of Christ. What’s the Body of Christ, well according to Paul in this letter to the Colossians he says this. Colossians 2:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. Colossians 2:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: All through the New Testament the Church is referred to as “The Body of Christ” Why would we let the called out assembly judge us? Because they are trying to do the same thing we are, they are reading the same scriptures, they serve the same God, we all have the same rules. There’s no commandment that says we can’t gather any day of the week either. 1Corinthians 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. That is not a replacement for Sabbath. Peace
Since there are many more prophecies that’s Jesus has yet to fulfill, why do we assume the idea that Jesus has already fulfilled the law and the prophets? Also in Matt 5:18-19 Jesus gives his view on those who teach people to annul his commandments and those who teach people to keep. Are not the words of Jesus valuable
There was and is a command to keep holy the Sabbath day, but that Sabbath day was not Sunday. It will however be readily said, and with some show of triumph, that the Sabbath was transferred from the seventh to the first day of the week, with all its duties, privileges and sanctions. Earnestly desiring information on this subject, which I have studied for many years, I ask, where can the record of such a transaction be found: Not in the New Testament - absolutely not. There is no scriptural evidence of the change of the Sabbath institution from the seventh to the first day of the week. -Dr. E. T. Hiscox, author of the ‘Baptist Manual’.
Please don't think me controversial in this comment. I have been struggling with my faith and I was also was a member of the Church of Christ. I am simply hoping to hear others views. Hebrews (maybe written by Paul) was still written by man, not God and not by the son of God (or was it?) I am not sure that God or Jesus ever told anyone to write this (please help me if I this is incorrect). What would think today if you read a book (there are many) that said Christ (substitute any other thing here) obtained a ministry much better. Would you jump on that bandwagon? Can you at least imagine even as a man of believe in god how not just Hebrews but the whole word of the new testament must have felt? I don't know if have stated this very well. I think the old testament refers to the coming of Christ and even his Resurrection. Some say the 3rd coming of Christ is elimination of earth. Do you believe that is it? What sort of preparation if there is any to be done? You are old enough to have seen the evangelists on TV, did you ever wonder?
Was the earth, the heavens, and the seas made only for the people of Israel, or was it made for the whole world? In the same way, the Sabbath was made and left for the whole world. You shall not add or take away anything from the word of God. Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. Mat 5:17 because Abraham obeyed me and did everything I required of him, keeping my commands, my decrees and my instructions. Gen 26:5 (Abraham keep the Sabbath before the teen commands and before israel) For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. James 2:10 Let us not forget that the Sabbath was instituted even before sin entered the world; it was not only blessed by God but also sanctified. What other day in the Bible holds such importance for God? I cannot find a single hint anywhere in the entire Bible that says, 'Brethren, now there are only 9 commandments; God has changed His mind about the Sabbath.' Never, ever should we put false words in God's Word. Jesus left us the Lord's Supper to remember Him, and through baptism, we are baptized into His death and resurrection. Mark 7:7-9 These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 7 They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.’ 8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.” 9 And he continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions! Jeremiah 6:10,16 10 To whom can I speak and give warning? Who will listen to me? Their ears are closed so they cannot hear. The word of the Lord is offensive to them; they find no pleasure in it. 16 This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ We still keep changing God words God bless you all ❤
read your scriptures from start to back. Pray on it and trust in The Most High and his words. Meditate on his words & reflect on his torah that His Son Yahusha taught. FAITH in the Son is what justifies any believer first and foremost when it comes to Salvation. As believers Faith is the root & obedience is the fruit we produce. Striving to keep the Torah as we must be doers of the word and not just hearers as James tears us. See new believers grafted into the olive branch ( Israel ) Romans 11:11-31, are too obey the Torah as there’s one Torah for both the native and foreigner ( Ex 12:49 ). Trying to maintain the law is unacceptable as it doesn’t produce righteousness, but having faith alone with no works is also dead. Believers must have the testimony of Yahusha & works, that is who the dragon will make war with in the end ( Rev. 12:17 ). Every man will be rewarded according to their works ( Mt 16:27, Rom 2:6, Rev 22:12). To end this, The Renewed Covenant Yahusha ( don’t be alarmed, this is the hebrew name of the Messiah ) made was prophesied in Jer 31:31-33 where Yahuah ( The Lord ) would make a New Covenant with the House of Israel and and He would put his Torah in our hearts and write it in our hearts. Yahuah also said he would put his spirit in us so that we would walk it out, which was spoken in Ezek 36:22-27 ( which is the set apart spirit or holy spirit we receive when we believe.)
- Your Saved by Grace in Belief in the Messiah which is a gift given by The Father following with Good works, not of works alone are you justified lest any man should boast Eph 2:8 - Yahusha is the way, the truth and the life John 14:6 - Sin is the transgression of the Torah as spoken in 1 John 3:4 - The Torah Is Truth as stated in Psalms 119:142 - The Torah brings blessings with obedience Deut. 11:26 - The Wages of Sin is death Romans 6:23 - The Torah is your life Deut. 32:47 - We are free from Death as Messiah took the death we deserved which is why we are no Longer under the law < He Lifted us from the Curse which came from disobedience to the Torah which was death, now we can pursue The Torah in Spirit since the Torah is Spirit Rom 7:14.
@@justty765that’s alright, we’re all learning. The Father will lead all of us who seek him diligently to his truth. He wants us to worship him in spirit and in truth. Not man’s truth, His Truth. Peace be with you Brother and May The Father guide you through his Spirit.
Catholics started worshipping on Sundays because Jesus rose from the dead on Sunday. We do penance on Fridays because of Christ's Passion on Friday. Jesus brings in the New Covenant but He did not do away with the Old covenant completely. He says to keep the commandments and then he emphasizes them by saying love your God with all your heart mind and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. The first 3 of the ten commandments are about love of God, the remaining 7 are about Love of neighbor. Love can do no harm, so if we love God with all our heart, mind and strength then we must love our neighbors who are made in the image of God as well. Sunday's are always Holy Days of obligation.
Go to John or Matthew and you see how Yashua tell you when you love God what to do if you don’t keep his commandments, you don’t know him and you are a liar amen and amen what your new testament said about lawlessness I have a question for you what Bible say about SIN
Yes it was given to the Hebrew Israelites who are still here in earth (literally not spiritually) "throughout their generations" the rest of you can go on not keeping the Sabbath if you like.
What you speak is not the truth. It has been said before that the Commandments were not given to those before Moses, does that mean they didn’t have them? Nope, Génesis 26:5, the angels kept all Gods Law, Psalm 103:20 KJV. How is it you come to the exact opposite conclusion of Jesus on the sabbath. The sabbath was made for man , period Mark 2:27. Not for the Jews period for man period. There are four sabbaths in the Bible three pointed to Jesus one did not. Three were shadows and one was not, yet you take the one that points backwards to Creation and say it should be associated with the things that point forward in Colossians 2:16-17(which sabbath is the Leviticus 23 feast day sabbaths), with that you err, and bring the Scriptures into contradiction for God says rest AS He did Hebrews 4:2-10. How did God rest? No doubt on the sabbath the 7th day. Romans 14 has its context in the same that is obvious in Romans 15:4. And no Jesus did not break the sabbath in the same way that He did not blaspheme. Why do you seem to seek to depart from God? The Apostles kept the 7th day, all the early church did you take Acts 15 way out of context as if that nullifies all other commands of Christ to His people. is Romans 13:8-10 suddenly too much for them? No you misunderstand fornication. Hear what idolatry is and understand what that means, that to commit fornication against our God is Idolatry and we can do that by going astray from any of His Ten Commandments 1 Samuel 15:23, Colossians 3:5, but have faith in Christs grace and you won’t do that. Repent… please… Christ loves you…

Pardoneth: we should allow scripture to explain scripture. The fulfilment of the law is love, not calvery. Rom_13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. Rom_13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. Gal_5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Jas_2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: WIthin each passage: it is talking about the 10 Commandments for it is written: the angels kept these Ten Commandments before creation week. Act 7:53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it. Jud 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. Psa_103:20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
That's a weird assumption,@@thedowntoearthchristian. No. They cannot bear children. The angels do have to honour their Heavenly Father. However, read this & you will be blessed. 1Jn_3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. Sin is the transgression of the law. Without the law, sin cannot be defined and Satan and his angels couldn't be cast out and banned from Heaven. Let us assume that the law was done away with at Calvary. All sinners can now go to heaven, but that we know is a lie. It is still a straight and narrow road even after Calvary. Why? The law is the standard. & sin now cannot be defined, let alone be defined by Apostle John.
Have you any other proofs that they(Protestants) are not guided by the Scripture? A. Yes; so many, that we cannot admit more than a mere specimen into this small work. They reject much that is clearly contained in Scripture, and profess more that is nowhere discoverable in that Divine Book. Q. Give some examples of both? A. They should, if the Scripture were their only rule, wash the feet of one another, according to the command of Christ, in the 13th chap. of St. John; -they should keep, not the Sunday, but the Saturday, according to the commandment, "Remember thou keep holy the SABBATH-day;" for this commandment has not, in Scripture, been changed or abrogated;... -Rev. Stephen Keenan, A Doctrinal Catechism; New York in 1857, page 101 Imprimatuer
What then is the New Covenant Law ? …. The bottom line ; God after Christ sent the Holy Spirit ( god writes his Law into our minds and hearts ) ,,,, ( if ) ( if ) one more ( if ) , you love Jesus , you will keep his commandments/ as he kept them , They apostles upheld the law BY FAITH in Christ . By the power of the Holy Spirit they were keeping the commandments, knowing that the law did not save them ,,,, but from out of love for Jesus they did keep gods law / that was given to Moses the prophet . We can keep the commandments through faith in Christ . I believe the devil hates the sabbath . Notice how the Pharisees and scribes sit in the seat of Moses ???They hate obedience to the law of god the father in Christ Jesus . Jesus did keep the sabbath since his youth , so did the Jewish apostles even till AFTER the resurrection,,, so did the lords mother and family . It just is The Way of the Lord . The end time people of god are a commandment keeping peoples ( from all nations ) . 10 original commandments, not written in two tablets of Stone this time ! But being written into the very minds and hearts of gods peoples , both Jew and gentiles .
Yes Noah Adam keep the Sabot hey question for you man of lawlessness do you know what your Messiah said about lawlessness right no one knew what’s clean and clean no, I was righteous before God Abraham keep the Sabath
If the 'gentiles' were never under the law, then they'll surely never find salvation and probably don't need it as it never applied to them. Galatians 4:4-5 states, "But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. The word ethnos and it's Hebrew counterpart goy/im doesnt mean what you think it means.
Sin is the transgression of the law. Where there is no law, there can be no sin. What were the biblical patriarchs doing then? What was the deal with the sacrificing of animals, etc.?
What were the patriarchs doing? Obeying God. God had Moses teach the people that God's Son would come to earth as a sacrificial Lamb. His blood was to be shed, as the precious little lamb's blood was shed for the people's sin. Jesus was the last Lamb that was murdered. At that time, there was no more reason to kill the lamb's, or any animal. God's plan for redeeming/forgiving/saving each of us, was complete when Jesus died and rose again. Being the Lamb of God, Jesus, having died and rising again, no more animals needed to die.
From the old and new testament I will prove without a shadow of doubt that we are to keep the Sabbath day. Jesus clearly said the Sabbath day was made for man. There was no Jew or Gentile when God made and implemented the Sabbath day. Remember the Sabbath day, that's what God said to us in this life. We will do the same on the new planet earth! V Isa 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD. Pope Constantine changed God's true Sabbath for Sun-worship-day observance! V Dan 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. Mat 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Now concerning the Sabbath, the ten commandments was not done away with! The ten commandments was magnified! When something is magnified, magnification does not take something away! The ten commandments was written on our hearts! V Isa 42:21 The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable. 2Co 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; NOT IN TABLES OF STONE, BUT IN FLESHY TABLES OF THE HEART. We Christians are spiritually connected with the Jews! Therefore the ten commandments is written on our heart! V Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. Gen 2:3 And God blessed the SEVENTH DAY, and sanctified it: because that in it HE HAD RESTED FROM ALL HIS WORK WHICH GOD CREATED AND MADE. Heb 4:4 For he spake in a certain place of the SEVENTH DAY on this wise, AND GOD DID REST THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS. Heb 4:9 THERE REMAINETH THEREFORE A REST TO THE PEOPLE OF GOD.Heb 4:10 FOR HE THAT IS ENTERED INTO HIS REST, HE ALSO HAS CEASED FROM HIS OWN WORKS, AS GOD DID FROM HIS.Heb 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. The ten commandments is THE LAW OF LIBERTY! The ten commandments was seen in heaven! God will judge all men by the ten commandments! V Rev 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, AND THERE WAS SEEN IN HIS TEMPLE THE ARK OF HIS TESTAMENT: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. The moral law still stands which is the Ten commandments! V Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Mat 19:17 ...But if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.Mat 19:18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness.Mat 19:19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Jas 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.Jas 2:11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.Jas 2:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. Rom 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet. Paul was talking about the book of law! The book of law contained ceremonial Sabbath days, also ceremonial holy day, also ceremonial meat and drink offerings! Those Jews who converted to Jesus, they had no longer to keep the book of law! Those Jews who were against Jesus, they were still keeping the book of law! The Sadducees and the Pharisees were judging those who had converted to Jesus, concerning the book of law. Now that is why Paul said to the converted, let no man judged you! The book of law was blotted out! V Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days. James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.James 2:11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. James 2:12 SO SPEAK YE, AND SO DO, AS THEY THAT SHALL BE JUDGED BY THE LAW OF LIBERTY.
The Bible says that we are to imitate God in our daily lives, but you are preaching some really unbiblical manmade teachings. I implore you to share the verses that plainly says that God has done away with His Sabbath Day that was made holy and set apart? Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. (Ephesians 5:1) And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. (Luke 4:16)

@@thedowntoearthchristian Ok man, you just got to stop hiding behind the law of Moses. The Bible says that the sabbath was given at the beginning of creation (Genesis 2:2-3), not at Mt. Sinai. Just because God’s Laws were not written down until Sinai, doesn’t mean they were not handed down verbally over each generation. Just read the 4th Commandment , it says “REMEMBER” the sabbath, because the Children of Israel had been in bondage for 400 years and had “FORGOTTEN” how to keep the sabbath, not always able to maintain Gods standards. The Bible says that breaking Gods laws is sin (1 John 3:4). Even Abraham kept God’s Commandments (Genesis 26:5) and he didn’t have to go to Mount Sinai to get them either! I know that you love to use the term “MORAL / CEREMONIAL LAW” to support your beliefs, but the fact of it is that the Law of God isn’t broken into moral / ceremonial or not moral / ceremonial, the moral / ceremonial law is a man made law that allows people to twist scripture to suit their narrative. Actually the Bible says that there is “ONLY ONE LAW”, (Numbers 15:15-16) (Exodus 12:49).

Jacob died in Egypt, and there his
sons multiplied. When Pharaoh attempted to enslave the Israelites, there
arose a controversy about the observance of the Sabbath. They were to
hold "a feast" to the Lord instead of
working on that day. Exodus 5:1. Pharaoh objected, demanding that they
work. But they refused to work. "And
the king of Egypt said unto them,
Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron,
let the people from their works? get
you unto your burdens. And Pharaoh
said, Behold the people of the land now
are many, and ye cause them to REST
from their burdens." Exodus 5:2-5. See
also verse 17. In the original text (the
Hebrew) we read literally: "And ye
cause them to sabbatize from their burdens." Here is used the same verb shabath which is employed in Genesis 2:
2, 3, but here it is used in the causative
form (Hiphil) as to make or cause to
rest or sabbatize.
Forty years later, when recounting
the story of the Exodus of his people
from Egypt, Moses reminded them of
the difficulty of Sabbath observance
which they had under the tyranny of
Pharaoh.

Not a every 7th day Sabbath that was given to mankind for rest from the work of the week, a rejuvenation for the coming week, and above all, a gift from our Creator God. Sabbath is extremely important. I appreciate this message. Keep doing a good job! I think people are against Sabbath because demonic influence.
The demonic influence is what has caused confusion and misunderstandings.

You are a good example, Sir. 👍🏻
Protestants ... accept Sunday rather than Saturday as the day for public worship after the Catholic Church made the change... But the Protestant mind does not seem to realize that ... in observing Sunday, they are accepting the authority of the spokesman for the Church, the pope.

For Christians to separate Jesus from the Sabbath is a mistake, for He is the Author, the Maker, the Sanctifier, and the Architect of the Sabbath. To discount the blessing He placed on that day is to deny Him and His authority over our lives.
THANK YOU 🙏
Should Christians keep the Sabbath? Good question and one we should be considering.

The Church, on the other hand, after changing the day of rest from the Jewish Sabbath, or seventh day of the week, to the first, made the Third Commandment refer to Sunday as the day to be kept holy as the Lord's Day. The Council of Trent (Sess. VI, can. xix) condemns those who deny that the Ten Commandments are binding on Christians.

Happy New Year!
Sunday is not the sabbath.

Question?
Why is the Sabbath still in effect in God’s (future coming) Kingdom? (Isaiah 66:22-23)
If the Sabbath is kept from the beginning, at creation and AFTER the ascension of Jesus into the heavens (Acts 13:42-44) (Luke 23:56) and also into the (future) Kingdom, how can you say that it is not in effect now? Also there isn’t a single verse to corroborate your words on the Sabbath, not a single verse agrees with you. If you have one please share it, which you CANNOT because your words are from a man made philosophy NOT a God given truth.
We would love to see that verse on how Sunday was switched to replace God’s Holy Day the Sabbath!

If Jesus kept the sabbath and Paul kept the sabbath and John the revalator don’t you think we should. Isn’t that’s what the word CHRISTIAN means follower of Jesus.

If you read (Acts 15) if you notice (verse 1 and 5) there was a group of Sect of the Pharisees that kept their beliefs from their sect of Judaism, which said to be saved a person had to be “circumcised” first THEN join their sect of Jewish Faith to become SAVED.
Now, notice (verse 5) there is a contrast between keeping the law AND being circumcised. You see there was only one part of the question that was correct (keeping the law), however, circumcision is NOT required for salvation.

So what does shadow of things to come mean?
I have a question. Didn't Jesus get in trouble with the Pharisees for healing on the Sabath and he told them that the sabbath wasn't meant to keep someone from doing good deeds? I can't say where it was in the bible I just remember this much. So, some of this gets confusing. I know that we are supposed to gather together. I agree with what you say, I am just wondering how this was not against the law when you were not even allowed to pick up a stick. I hope I am asking this right

Why would He need to make the seventh day Holy and sancifiy it if it wasnt for man??? Did He do it for Himself? What are we to do with the day He made Holy and Sanctified? Ignore it?
Good Evening Pastor, great understanding. Happy New Year to you and your family;
I am a born-again christian for 9 yrs. and what the Holy Spirit (Jesus) has taught me, I would like to share with you.

The Sabbath is mentioned in the New Testament fifty-nine times, and always with respect, bearing the same title it had in the Old Testament, “the Sabbath day.”
Not a word is said anywhere in the New Testament about the Sabbath's being abolished, done away, changed, or anything of the kind.
(Isaiah 66:22, 23.)
The seventh-day Sabbath was an important part of the law of God, as it came from His own mouth, and was written by His own finger upon stone at Sinai. (See Exodus 20.) When Jesus began His work, He expressly declared that He had not come to destroy the law. “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets.” Matthew 5:17
Jesus severely condemned the Pharisees as hypocrites for pretending to love God, while at the same tune they made void one of the Ten Commandments by their tradition. The keeping of Sunday is only a tradition of men.
You forgot that Christ addressed this himself. Mark ch2 v23-27. He also answered it here Matthew ch18 v20.
What the Bible says about alcohol
Should Christians keep the Sabbath?
@17:30 No biblical record before the Exodus…
Genesis 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
Colossians 2:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
All through the New Testament the Church is referred to as “The Body of Christ” Why would we let the called out assembly judge us?

Mat 5:17
because Abraham obeyed me and did everything I required of him, keeping my commands, my decrees and my instructions. Gen 26:5 (Abraham keep the Sabbath before the teen commands and before israel)
For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. James 2:10
Let us not forget that the Sabbath was instituted even before sin entered the world; it was not only blessed by God but also sanctified.
Mark 7:7-9
These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
7 They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules.’
8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.”
9 And he continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!
Jeremiah 6:10,16
10 To whom can I speak and give warning?
Who will listen to me?
Their ears are closed
so they cannot hear.
The word of the Lord is offensive to them;
they find no pleasure in it.

“Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls.
But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
We still keep changing God words

But today all people are working on the Sabbath
Any advise for a new believer?
read your scriptures from start to back.
- Your Saved by Grace in Belief in the Messiah which is a gift given by The Father following with Good works, not of works alone are you justified lest any man should boast Eph 2:8
- Yahusha is the way, the truth and the life John 14:6
- Sin is the transgression of the Torah as spoken in 1 John 3:4
- The Torah Is Truth as stated in Psalms 119:142
- The Torah brings blessings with obedience Deut. 11:26
- The Wages of Sin is death Romans 6:23
- The Torah is your life Deut. 32:47
- We are free from Death as Messiah took the death we deserved which is why we are no Longer under the law < He Lifted us from the Curse which came from disobedience to the Torah which was death, now we can pursue The Torah in Spirit since the Torah is Spirit Rom 7:14.

@kockeyedkitty I’m glad you enjoyed the video. If you think our channel is worthy of sharing would you please share it with your friends and family?

Jas_2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
WIthin each passage: it is talking about the 10 Commandments for it is written: the angels kept these Ten Commandments before creation week.
Are you saying that the angels could marry and have children? That they need to not commit adults and honor their parents?

Why don't you address God by his name, Jehovah?
Yes Noah Adam keep the Sabot hey question for you man of lawlessness do you know what your Messiah said about lawlessness right no one knew what’s clean and clean no, I was righteous before God Abraham keep the Sabath
If the 'gentiles' were never under the law, then they'll surely never find salvation and probably don't need it as it never applied to them. Galatians 4:4-5 states, "But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
The word ethnos and it's Hebrew counterpart goy/im doesnt mean what you think it means.
The gentiles had a law read Romans one. It was not the Law of Moses which didn’t exist before Moses gave it.
The only law I'm concerned with is God's law (Moses). You say the Gentiles had a law. Romans 1 says no such thing.
No we are not supposed to keep the sabbath.

Ok man, you just got to stop hiding behind the law of Moses.
