I've actually fired one of these before in real life, sadly it was a reproduction model but it's deadly quiet anyways.
Im super late to cod ww2, having a blast tho, rarely comment on anything but just wanted to say it was nice having a video keep to the point and not add filler, great guide thanks.

I like how this is the only gun that's consistently made louder in games that it is in reality, due to game balancing.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but is there even a reason to use the Arisaka, Kar98 or Lee Enfield now? This gun has apparently the one shot area of the Kar98, the ammo of the Lee Enfield, good idle sway, and a free surpressor... :/

it takes the same time as the type 38 to recover which is the longest time of any sniper, also its 1 hit area is equal to that of the lee enfeild not kar98k, just pointing out, sorry

This gun looks like the Lewis and the lee enfield had a child.
And that for some weird reason it fires a pistol cartridge and is suppressed.
It's actually a heavily modified Lee Enfield.
Centuries, I know. I was just trying to be funny. It’s weird though that it was designed to shoot a pistol round. You’d think that type of round wouldn’t be good for a sniper.

Gaming Pikachu77, it was designed to fire a pistol round to be as quiet as possible because they're subsonic. Rifle bullets can go fast enough to break the sound barrier and cause a sonic boom.
Hey Ace, I’ve watched several videos of explaining certain weapons and tactics and you’re very good and knowledgeable. What I like about your presentations is that you don’t insult players that are not as good as you. Unlike Grey, he’s a good player too but, it bothers me how he insults players that use S-mines, sticky grenades and so forth. They are there to be used and every time he gets killed he whines like a little kid. He needs to learn from you, his ego is off the chain. He’s always asking for a donation to support his video but, the way he insults I wouldn’t give him a dime. Keep up your good work, thank you.
Snipers are only as powerful as the user is accurate. Missing a shot can mean the difference between a life and death for most variants of sniper rifles. Besides how could a sniper rifle be weak in short range and excel in long range. That just makes no sense. It would also completely destroy the category of that weapon type, leaving them difficult to use and ultimately ineffective. (Response is to Christopher London.)
Joseph Hill Missing shots is not an argument for making them as strong as they are since every weapon can miss shots and increase their time to kill to something comparable to a sniper rifle needing to fire twice as well.
Every weapon should be good at a certain range and not good at every range: by your logic then shotguns should be slightly useful long range since they shouldn't be useless at any range like snipers should be useful at close range too.
Youre missing the point, the snipers shot is obviously more powerful at close range as the bullet is travelling less distance BUT the argument is that the sniper rifle should be weaker at close range in game i.e you lose at close range in a fight with an smg or shotgun because it takes longer to lift the sniper rifle to aim and fire and the sway and accuracy should be completely messed up so the smg or shotgun user will kill you first. At the moment if 2 equally skilled users meet each other face on close distance one a sniper user and 1 an smg the sniper user has the advantage with quick scoping and if he hits youre dead. In reality you shouldn't even be able to get a shot off anywhere near target against an smg user if you both meet in a building.
And as already pointed out, arguing that snipers should be good at close range so that they do not become ineffective is like arguing shotguns should be good at long range......
so you just want to remove all form of skill from the gameplay? and I don't talk only about the scope, but if I get your thought, you want to be punished everytime by an AR at mid range if you run a SMG/shotgun/scope for example? how many percent the player should count in a FPS multiplayer then if the gun needs to do it all?
talk about range but this is call of duty, the immense majority of gunfights are blank/close/mid distance max, I call SMGs way too OP then with their OP ads and sprintout time because you'll be in disadvantage most of the time if you don't use it...

you totaly skip ads time and sprintout time to the equation about efficiency at close range, the snipe IS weaker at close range because of that, it's a fact, damage profile doesn't make everything in a gunfight.

I just got mine! I use PPSH, silencer, QuickDraw, stock. Overkill with De lisle and it’s such a deadly combo
I run infantry division (because for some reason there's no stalk attachment in this game?)with a suppressed SMG and rifleman basic training and use this sniper with no attachments and do work. I think the built in suppressor is better then any other attachment you can put on. Finishing up Chrome camo on it today.
StroberOner209 you can use scoped as your Basic Training
Sören Matthies Scoped means you're giving up another Basic Training and isn't as strong as Stock was or Infantry's built-in Stalker perk.
In all seriousness, weapon improving perks should be attachments. Don't force players to give up Perks/ Basic Trainings to improve their weapon's handling when that should be what attachments are for.
Yea I could use scoped but then I can't use rifleman because we only get one basic training lol. This game would be so much better with a pick 10 system.
One of my favourite snipers in cod history!
This is my new favorite sniper rifle in the game. As a hardscoper, I mean. On the flip side, anything that makes it even EASIER to quickscope I am strongly against.
But let's face facts: QSers will never be truly nerfed or managed in a COD game. Never have. Never will. If you can QS, you can dominate the game.
because i got this weapon, i use this, a po8 with suppresor, mountain, the training that makes tacticals not work against you, and throwing knoves
I pretty much never do snipers at all usually. I might actually try this one out.
So I haven t played too much with this gun but it seems like a nice change. I like that it finally allows for a suppressed sniper.
The one question I have for Ace is how come you don't run suppressors on your handgun? Then you'd be off the radar all the time.
The thing about using duelist is that at that point why not just use rifleman?

There kinda just alternatives, duelist pistols are really good but not accurate, rifleman guns are also good but no attachment or anything to enhance them
anne yoder because rifleman takes up your precious basic training spot and those dual pistols are better than most the shotguns
I'm loving the De Lisle! I'm not great at quick scoping but definitely getting better while using this gun. Also love the Arisaka!
I disagree with the people saying the snipers are OP. In mho, the lmgs are OP. They are like large smgs with quick draw and two shot kills. SHG should put QD on snipers too 😂😂😂

Dear Ace, can you do a video of the pros and cons of the various sights for rifles and snipers? You do say you like the iron sights but I have had a hard time using them with some very obvious misses when aimed directly at the target (even in the shootrange). If you reviewed these and explained how the irons sights compare to the std. and the 4x, w/ and w/o aim assist, etc I think it would help a lot.

i have he heroic version of this weapon but i dont like it because the fire rate is to slow
That means i need to be more accurate because there is no aim assist like the lever action and it is a hitmarker machine so if you missed a shot or get a hitmarker the kill time ratio decreased dramastically . thats why I like the lever action as my favorite sniper because it has aim asist fast fire rate fast ads and good reload and sprintout time

thanks for admitting that sniping isnt your thing, every other person in this game will complain that snipers dominate all the time, but really they just tried it and were not good, so on behalf of the sniping comunity, thanks
Ace you should do a weapon balance video with your opinions and how you would change some guns. Like the lewis for example in my opinion is too powerfull atm. The developers might listen to you better than random fans

I've seen nobody else point this out, but, the De Lisle only gets aim assist when you activate sharpshooter. I've tested this multiple times in game and you get absolutely no aim assist when you aren't in sharpshooter, and I have no idea why. It could've been an accident, but if it was intentional, why? The De Lisle has a small kill zone and has a slightly slower ADS, so what's the point of not having aim assist?
So, I know this isn’t that relevant to this gun, but the zk when firing in fast firing can’t be suppressed, I had to hand test this, but it’s the most annoying bug. Not sure where I would report the bug, so I just want people to be aware of it.
Ghost Skgijoe I don't think it's a bug: I think it's an oversight by the developers since they made the suppressor tied to the same button on console.
Andrei Valdez Not sure honestly, just something that feels off, it still sounds suppressed, but acts like it’s not suppressed. Not sure if it affects the damage ranges.
I use the resistance to show if anyone gets too close and wear all white camo with secondary dual wielding. For Gustav Cannon no one will ever see you

I got this sniper and the ptrs out of only 2 supply drops but the problem is I suck at sniping
I like the cod newbies who complain about the riot shield being too annoying, shotguns being too overpowered, and snipers being too easy to use. In Bo2 there was riot shield+fast hands+c4/tomahawk. Mw2 had spas and models, and bo2 had full auto aim snipers. We veterans know that none of this is new lmao. Have these kids play some good cods then they'll know what bs really is
AReallyNiceGuy :D Just because it's in the older games doesn't mean it's alright to bring them back; that's why they got rid of Death Streaks, Danger Close and other annoying things as well as nerfed some of those things you mentioned. If the developers aren't learning from theirs or the others' mistakes then they're failing the community and any potential, new players who are put off by these annoying things.

I played every cod since cod two but you have to admit that the riot shield was the worst possible thing they could have added....
Bo2 was just completely op and that made it easier to counter shields and shit like that, also flack jacket there was at least done right and you would at least had flich when using the shield as well

If your refreeing to the ZK-383 then what you get for your money is versatility and accuracy at the exchange of a good time to kill. The same goes for the Nambu Type 2.
Since the ZK. 383 is a prestige reward for Cavalry I doubt you can buy it.

Base weapon you can get by prestiging Calvary but you can get an epic variant of it through the event.
PTRS-41 since its an anti aircraft gun does it go through the Cavalry shield? Haven't had a chance to test it.

Do a video on the SHIELD! I know is weird and I think you hate it, but please understand that there's people like me who find it super fun and effective.
You could test explosive damage resistance, movement speed, protection range, and give recommendation on how to use it.
My set up is saboteur with stickies, flashbang, and a 1911 with extended mags. The point is to use explosives as the main weapon and the pistol if they are too far away and reloading.

yo guys, im new to shooters, but i bought ww2 like 5 months ago and i fucking love it, but im a person that only gives a fuck if something is realistic so my question is: does ww2 die becaue of the new modern black ops that is coming or are there still alot of players online because other people also have a very strong preference for realistic??

Ace why is every gun fight a flip of a coin on ww2. Why do I dominate the lobby one game then get annihilated the next. It just didn't happen on advanced warfare or ghosts. Something on this game is broken.

David Gardener Try to look at what you’re doing wrong. Cause in public matches you’re going against people who are completely different when it comes to gunning. Maybe you’re running around too much and going against people who don’t rush and utilize cover a lot.
This gun has no aim assist I tested it on bots The only sniper that has aim assist is Lever Action,Type38 , and Lee Enfield. If you think I'm wrong go on bots add one bot and aim down sights. Move the scope side to side trust me it has no aim assist

.45 ACP one shot kill? holy sheet... pistol bullet with .50BMG damage? the real weapon is 7+1 bullet for standard magazine and 11+1 for extended...

Do the each of the sniper rifles have different ADS rotation speeds or is it just me?
Danny Upton Just you, put the amount of time it takes to ADS (which varies amongst them) may make it seem like they're different because the ones that ADS more slowly will make you 'rotate' for a bit longer.
Andrei Valdez fair doos, maybe it is just me, even so when I switch between the Kar and the Springfield I find the Springfield rotates slower while ads, so I find I need to bump my sensitivity up
How does this gun shoot 45. Acp and still do 95 damage? The M1928 Does like 30 this game has some weird logic.

600RPM, Fires actual projectiles that deal 50 Damage at all ranges in the game, each bullet has a very small explosive radius that can deal an additional 10 damage

Snipers are way too powerful, Just look at his gameplay and see how easy it is to run around with a sniper and quick scope people. Too many times snipers beat an SMG or a shotgun in a shootout inside a building at close range. That should not be happening. Snipers should be very strong long range but weak close range.
Learned to Crawl there's at least 3 maps where they dominate due to long range and also if they are making them competitive because the maps are small then make them COMPETITIVE. don't make them better at close range than smg and shotguns

But that is what the gun (lmg) is designed for, staying behind cover and holding your ground. It may be annoying hiding behind the truck in shipment with an LMG but that's the guns strength. A snipers strength is meant to be long distance and dominating the open ground but instead the snipers are used as shotguns where people run around maps inside buildings beating smgs and shotguns up close

are they though. it only difficult to snipe in iw and advance warface due to jumping, bo3 had easy snipers so it wasn't to bad. Most boots on the ground cods are like this. The lack of perk means that it worst in ww2 because not everyone has a mountain class for no name tag because half the people run Armour because everyone has nades and tacticals.
They should've made the rifles like they did in Black Ops. They actually felt challenging to use and quickscoping depended on random chance.
As annoying as quickscopers can be, it's better than the prestige master ppsh/ fire shotgun trash spamming saboteur satchel charges every match.

Sniper without scope is not a sniper.
Not all snipers were used for sniping in ww2, many were just given to infantry soldiers as bolt action rifles.
