Almost hoping for a proper hurricane to see how you deal with those houseboats in the mangroves. Must be quite a job. you're in a lovely spot but it looks awful exposed. Glad it all worked out well.
Hi Rick, I remember seeing your Father (I guess) on Sea Fishing vides made by John Wilson from the UK. Is your Dad still around, John Wilson passed a couple of years ago now. Glad you all survived this storm OK. Tony.
Hey Rick, thank you for the reply. I have been watching your family's videos all evening here in the UK as we're under Covid lockdown. I am very happy to see and hear Richard is still around. I really enjoyed the videos he made years ago. We have a home in Kissimmee and love to visit the "Keys" when we can. I have fished for Tarpon with Steve "Coach" Demuth out of Conch Key a few times in the past. I recall seeing you in the videos as a younger man and hope to be back in the Keys soon. Please take care and wish your Dad and all the family well. Tony.
Good to see you guys made it through in such good shape. Man we had more damage than that from Zeta and I'm 200 miles inland in the mountains of NC. No power for three days. We had people kayaking in the streets of North Wilkesboro lol
Nice job Ricky, good to see one the old Barn Dogs, Ricardo still standing watch. The storm was really not much of anything really. Just barely a good Rum Front. We used to have tail gate partys in the barn at The Sparrows Nest during storms like these. As for anyone who ask, Sparrow is still alive. Go MAHI MAHI
Rick a piece of old fishing net with 1.5 inch or so mesh is perfect for holding down your canopy on your lift, or any tarp for that matter you just roll it out over the roof and tie it down, the structure will break before u loose ur canopy

HydroHoist boat lifts are the only way to go!! Here on our lake in northeast Oklahoma, (Grand Lake O Cherokees) they are the lift of choice and plus it is where HydroHoist started at! I could throw a rock from my boat dock and hit the marina where these lifts were first made!!! They are pretty much bullet proof, not literally but figuratively lol! I’m glad to see that people use them down there! My parents have a place in Apollo Beach, and I don’t see them anywhere down there and I don’t know why!!! They are so much faster for letting ur boat up and down then those cable lifts and plus they hold ur boat so much better then those cables lifts as well!!! How do u like yours?!!! Nick needs to get one for his boat, HydroHoist makes lifts for catamarans!!! But I’m glad to see everyone down there is ok!! Thankfully it wasn’t as bad as what it could’ve been!!!! I heard the rain did more damage then the wind did?!
I pray that God keep you all safe my loves..I'm in the Northeast but I love love love the Florida keys with the passion you can't even believe it's so beautiful but being that I'm near 80 I'm settled heret here and THAT'S okay.. I have the good Lord in my life and He blesses us.
Thank yu so much for the Video Rick was worried about you guys. do you know or have you talked to blue gabe or dmfd or kelly young to see if they are okay I assume nick is good since you are
I have not talked to any of them, but I'm pretty sure they are fine. Saw Gabe posted something early today. I think they may have gotten a lot of rain but I don't think anything too crazy
We all love the Keys! Maybe we should all just visit them, and not live there! Yeah, it's awesome, everybody would love to live there! It's hard to feel sorry for ya'll... just move inland!
I wouldn't say an average day it was blowing 50+ mph. Not a cat 4, but definitely a tropical storm with gusts up to 60/70 mph. And a bit of flooding in low lying areas of the keys.
We are thankful that Bud N Mary's was spared any serious damage. This video was a great way to let all of us know that.
*Capt. Rick and Fam/Friends... SO GLAD YOU ARE ALL OK!* ..gw
Really glad everyone and everything is safe!
Glad all is well!
Thanks for taking us thru that Capt, very insightful.
Glad yall made it through with minimal damage. We were praying you all down there. We just flew out Sat wouldn't have minded getting stuck though😅
great vid thank you, we are headed down next Friday and were worried about you Guys!!! See ya'll soon
Look forward to it hopefully the winds lay down for ya

Yeah I'll definitely do a video showing that process I'm sure at some point. But I'll hope I never have to 🤣
You definitely dodged a bullet with the storm. Glad everyone is safe and the boats didn’t get damaged
Glad everything is good

Couldve been a lot worse!

Wow that's nuts! Yeah we had plenty of damage from Irma a few years ago, dont need any more of that for a while 😂
Hey Rick, glad you and the BnD family got through relatively unscathed. 👍

It came out of the Gulf so should be out in Atlantic.

Rick next time install pieces of pool noodles on the drone in case it goes in the water. Lol. Hey. Lesson learned....drones like winds.
Well I dunno if it will fly correctly if you do that. But good idea
That storm turned out to be nothing!😎
How much you rent the house boats for??
The pricing is on our website 👍 www.budnmarys.com/lodging
Yard took 4 hours to clean, , Tavernier Florida, Key Largo seems to be the worst of it. MM98, House destroyed by tree, ,,Remember Sparrow?
Oh yes!

I got whacked while watching this video.
Sunrise Market in Key Largo was still open this morning with fresh baked bread.
Narley? Nope
You and you brother have the same pauses and mannerisms (idk if that’s the right word) when you speak.
Looks like an average rainy day with a bit of wind . This guys acting like it's a category 4 .
