@@koreyreichard5230 O ok learned something new. I've never had any issues with my thumb slipping out involuntarily or it not fitting snuggly. Same reason I don't use interchangable thumbs or tape. All my 25 years of bowling my balls have been drilled exact for my hand and style and never had any issues with fingers or thumbs. It's just a common theme I never knew existed.
part of it is routine. when you get on the approach you want to keep the same routine to promote consistency through your shot, small things like blowing in your holes etc is just part of players routine

Been bowling for 25 years competitively and I don't understand the blowing in the holes before you throw. Can you explain this to me?
It helps to keep your thumb tacky for better pressure/tightness so you don’t have it slip/stick in your approach
