I am a Pakistani American, and my feeling are also same like you, but I can not go back permanently, because there are so many reasons, and the most important is economic prosperity, health, education, clean environment, rule of law, no corruption and bribe, and nice and decent people, and honour, USA has given me everything Wich someone can only dream in my Homeland, our politicians should make our country HABITABLE.

Other side is always greener. Many people in India wish they moved out to western countries, just like you wished in your past. Moving back to India is definitely the thing to do, but when you move back, make sure you go back as a better/more capable person in your career/type of work. And help India grow in your field of work and get better for the future generations so that they will not be compelled to leave India for the reasons that we did.
Things that attracted us to US/Canada/Europe, are the things we should try to achieve back in India. Only then, the next generation of Indians will not feel like going out of India. Things like anti-corruption, cleanliness, reduce/reuse/recycle waste and pollution, etc. the list goes on. Let's do our part to improve India so we minimize brain drain at least in the next generation!
    Jai Hind!

I feel the same . I have been in the US for over 14 years now, working for 10. I have earned savings, bough atownhouse first, then a customized single family home in the suburbs. I would love to wrap all that and moved back to India in 5-6 years. As far as career oppurtunities , I feel I could be fine. My wife will inherit some property which we could develop and use it for additional income.
But guess the reason why she doesnt want to move back so soon? Well, she is afraid of dealing with my parents, her in laws. lol ..

We all must move back to India. But do take back something with you, don't go empty handed. By that, I mean learn the good ways of life in these western countries like cleanliness, avoid corruption, customer obsession while doing business, etc. Anything you can learn from here and then implement those back in India. Stay here until you have learnt something which would be valuable back in India and then go improve India.
      Jai hind!
