✈ BERLIN VLOG - Part 6: The sights of beautiful Berlin, transport, Schönefeld Airport and Easyjet

After a fabulous breakfast at the stunning Park Inn Alexanderplatz, I visit some of Berlin's sights before reluctantly (very reluctantly) leave the city and head for Schönefeld Airport and a flight home with Easyjet.

Lived in Berlin in the 80's when a struggling musician and did some TV stuff back then...my time there was very special even with wall in place at the time as is was an eerie experience walking past it coming back from the pub at night.

That old TV tower was built in the Eastern half of the city during communist times. I used to have a guidebook to East Berlin printed in English by the East Germans back in the 1980's. Unfortunately I no longer have it which is too bad, as they are no longer in business. I am glad to see this part of the old town. Thanks.

Great video. I wonder how the whole brexit nonsense will play out and effect your travel in the future. Being an expat from Glasgow living in Florida your videos make me homesick. Glasgow airport looks way different from my last time there.

Hi Derek, once the UK voted to leave the EU, I looked into getting an Italian passport, as my grandfather was Italian, and it's permitted. Outside of the European Union, there's very little advantage in having an EU vs. UK passport. If the government ever makes up it's mind what we are doing,. the thought is that will will need an e-visa of some sort, like the USA visa waiver needed to get to sunny Florida. Try Fort DeSoto beach, just pick up the cheap permit from the ranger station first open during business hours Monday-Friday.
