    Don't laugh. Actually laugh, because my average is only 116, but I bowled 130 avg
    last night because I shifted my breakpoint 2 left as Mark suggested! (for my TZone)
    So much more (relative) miss room!
    Mark is a real gift, and Pete, you're a true gift for making him available to us plebs!

      No laughter here. This is Pete, and I started league with a 105 average. We all gotta start somewhere. I am the worst bowler ever on our channel by far, so these tips have been great for me, and they play in my head when I bowl haha. My goal is to just to beat my average every time I go out, so it sounds like you have the right idea of trying new things and your game will stay on the way up. Keep at it, practice spares, and you'll be getting 200s in no time. Thanks for watching.

    Any plans on releasing a part 2, especially the two handed game? Maybe analyze other styles like straight armed and planters, and what mechanics change from bowling straight up vs throwing across the lane. Maybe some advanced topics like how to know when to make certain adjustments.

    It would be awesome if you guys talked about your pap, tilt and axis rotation and talk about what layouts work for you. I have been trying to find videos about different styles of bowling(full roller, 3/4 roller and up the back) and what layouts may work best for them There is just not much info online about it or at least I can find much. I think it can be very helpful!!

      Sure, we can definitely do that. We have been talking about trying to discuss our layouts more, so this is right up that alley.

    I throw a 15 as a one hander, so what would be the benefit, if any, to changing weight, either up or down a pound?
    I also just want to say that all of these q & a videos have been such a great help. Thank you to Mark and the Crew 🧹🧹🧹

    Any tips for keeping my head still during the delivery as a 2 hander as my head tends to move to my left (as a rightie) on the downswing right after the ball passes below my hips. I have a feeling it may be due to me using my shoulders to throw the ball and if so what how would I correct that

    As a 2 handed bowler, I see from videos of myself that the weight of the ball transfers over to my left hand, hence I'm not as under the ball as I should be just before the release as I feel my left hand stays on the ball too long, any tips to combat this?

    • @OreKehStrah
      @OreKehStrah หลายเดือนก่อน

      Use the left hand to actively push the ball back/up to keep the weight on the right hand!

    • @knnkenobi
      @knnkenobi หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@OreKehStrah hmmm does that not introduce muscle into the swing if I actively use my left hand to push the ball into my right?

    • @OreKehStrah
      @OreKehStrah หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@knnkenobi I had to think about how to better explain it, so here goes take 2.
      To start, grab a bowling ball and go through the motion of a swing like you normally would. Now look at how your left hand and specifically the wrist are positioned.
      I would guess what’s happening is you put your hands very close together, and you’re probably cupping your left hand/wrist to support the ball during the swing, which is what might be pushing your dominant hand further up the back of the ball.
      The way you fix that is by keeping your left hand/wrist straight. When you’re in the swing and the weight of the ball pushes against the left hand, if you’re not sorta locking the wrist straight with a pit of pressure from the palm of your hand, you’re probably gonna relax and cup the left hand/wrist without thinking about it to support the weight. So you’re applying a little bit of force to keep your wrist from bending under the weight of the ball, not putting muscle into the ball.
      Hopefully this makes a bit more sense?

      @@OreKehStrah ty fr the insightful feedback but what I meant was that the ball begins to leave my forearm before it goes past my ankles on the downswing, with my left hand still on the ball and by the time my left hand fully leaves the ball, my right hand is more behind the ball than under it. I tried to pull my left hand away during the downswing earlier but that just caused the ball to be released way too far away from my ankles sorry if I phrased my initial comment wrongly 😅😅

      @@TheCleanUpCrew300 Thanks! My question to Mark is concerning footwork.
      I take a 5 step approach. My problem is keeping my 4th (power step) from going out to the right and causing me to drift right (I’m a right handed bowler). How can I correct that issue?

    #question. Is ball weight the main reason why I cannot make my follow through high enough or at least make it to head level? It seems my swing ends after I release the ball.

    I have a question, I recently went through some struggles and in summer league my average dropped 20 pins from 232 to 213. I looked at some old videos of when i bowled some 300's and old practice videos and noticed that on my anchor arm i pointed my left thumb down at the ground. Soon as i went back to doing that i threw a 756, my first 700 in 3 months. My Question is what is the significance of pointing your left thumb down? I thought i was going to have to only throw Symmetrical balls now with me going back to doing this i can throw my Asymmetrical balls again and my speed is back to 16 (on the monitor) which is probably around 18 off my hand. Can you explain the significance of a pointed thumb down? Thanks Coach!

    i bowl 1 hand no thumb with a 4-step approach I've watched videos of when to start your swing they start on the first cross over step is this a good place to start my swing or should i start it on the 2nd to 3rd step?
