Never thought of trying that as practice. Seems like a good way to get to know your balls and how they react in comparison. Thanks for posting!

10 ball challenge. Good stuff. My Motiv Black Venom is for the bottom of my bag. I keep her at 3000 grit to use for when the lanes get transitioned. It is very continuous through the pocket.

Great video! I’m confused about the venoms. You say the blue coral and hyper are both earlier and a little rounder than the black (I’ve heard people say that about the coral before), why is it that the ball chart has the black all the way on the left?

Question for you Anthony. Knowing MOTIV gear, what other pros do you think would do well on MOTIV staff that is not with MOTIV now? I'd like to see a handed lefty. I know Graham Fauch was with MOTIV in the past.

Hi Andrew great video! What is the tape you're using on your fingers?
Noticed you only have pink tape on tops where most of the finger tapes you see wrapped around.

    Suggestion for post editing.
Maybe have a green check mark for the balls that strike or close frames.
Play the same game with five of the same ball with different layouts.

    • @fuzzytattoo

This is a lengthy response and I’m sorry for that. But hopefully it helps and it helps anyone else who might see this and want to know too. Most of this information comes from videos I’ve seen on the topic as well as friends that are or were on staff with different ball companies. Hopefully the tone comes across as intended as well. Helpful lol.
I believe there is a list of requirements for PBA eligibility online. However last I looked it was regionals 1 season at over 200 average. Though that’s just to be eligible for the tournament, still gotta bowl it haha 😂. But for actual PBA membership it’s more than that.
Getting on staff is harder and requires more time, money, and general effort. You can apply for a staff position for bowlifi and sell jerseys with a discount code, or pay for or get a free team member spot with CTD (Creating The Difference) and sell there stuff with an online code. But if you want to be a regional/local staffer for a ball company or accessory/grip company it’s much harder than simply applying and telling people your code.
Best advice I’ve heard is no one will have you on staff if no one knows who you are. Be visible and be marketable. Make your self your brand. Meaning not only do you need to be making videos, showing up to local tournaments, helping out with demo events for the company/companies you wanna work with (meaning: be helpful and happy to be there, offer to help unload and set up the equipment, be familiar with the balls there so you can help people who have questions if the other staffers are busy, but back off if it seems like it’s unwelcome, be personable and friendly not in the way. Helping people with suggestions on equipment cuz you’re throwing well with specific stuff so they wanna ask you about it, don’t force it on em. Be that person they see and want to ask. You also gotta be marketable, friendly, personable, keep controversial or divisive opinions on stuff to yourself and off the internet. There’s a tactful way to have opinions for sure, but most the time it’s just better left off the internet as far as these companies are concerned. Think about it as you are applying to be your areas face of this company. If you’re out there swearing up a storm (no pun intended lol) at league, posting divisive political or religious commentary, or smack talking the company or other companies no one will want to hire you for that job. They can’t afford to have that be the face of their brand in your area. I know a lot of folks who may have 220+ averages throwing only one company, but they won’t ever get on staff cuz no one can stand to be around em for 10 min. They yell and cuss a lot, drink heavily at league, kick the ball return, they’re just miserable to bowl with. No matter how good you are if you can’t sell equipment no one will hire you.
But most of all, put in the work first. You’ll get out of it what you put into it. Ya gotta buy lotsa equipment before anyone’s gonna just give you some. Being a staffer is a lot more work than many think. It’s not just wearing jerseys and getting free balls.
A job in the bowling alley or pro shop doesn’t hurt either, doesn’t always help, but it puts you in a position to work with other regional staffers as well as a position to sell bowling equipment. Getting to know peoples game so you can offer proper advise on purchases and so on. You gain their trust and they come back to you time and time again.
Sorry for the novel of a response. But I really hope it helps and you end up getting on staff and absolutely steamrolling it at tournaments. You got this!

TLDR: Bowl a lot. Make videos for YT/ social media. Be nice, friendly, and helpful. Bowl in tournaments. Help your fellow bowlers.

I did this about 6 months ago on the bear pattern - 10 different balls. Shot 297. I didn't post it on youtube, but it is on my wife's facebook if nobody believes me. Maybe I'll post it on a new channel I'm going to create in the future, who knows? I did get pretty lucky on a few shots, craziest game I ever bowled.

I've done this drill many times (I have my own shop at home, drill my own stuff and am always experimenting) ... this is one of the most challenging things you can do with an arsenal, even on a house shot. And this was on sport. AND he was still a whiffed spare from shooting 223. I'd lay odds that 95% of amateurs couldn't get to 200 on this drill, facing a sport pattern. More than half probably couldn't get to 180.
