    So nice to see someone doing this WEEKLY. I can't go 2+ weeks not washing my scalp.

      Same! My scalp can’t handle going long in between wash days. I used to have a really dry, itchy and flaky scalp as a kid. Weekly washes stopped that. I can’t go back lol

      Thank you for saying this. I struggled with my 12 year old daughter's 4c hair trying to keep her natural texture with no visual progress. Her scalp gets itchy and flaky by the end of the week. I wash, deep condition, blowout and use flexi rods to maintain her hair every weekend. Not only is it better for her hair, but it is less maintenance and low manipulation for her hair. Should have started this blowout routine when she was 8 years old and could have seen better length retention.

    Be careful wearing puffs. It causes a very specific type of breakage pattern. I also have very fine, dense hair

      Yes! This is true of any style done too often or styled roughly. Be gentle with your hair and change up your styles for sure ❤️

    Starting to blow dry my hair every wash day was the only thing that stopped me from sitting in someone’s chair to get a relaxer. Definitely saved my hair i think+ having a more consistent routine.

    My weekly blow out is a rollerset typically with pressed roots (i do try and push to two weeks when i can). I deep condition every wash day, i bond treat every other wash day, i protein treatment my hair once a quarter. I dust my ends any time my ends are straight and i notice lots of splits or single strand knots.
    I haven’t noticed any loss of curl pattern at all (i still mini twist my hair 2-4 times a year taking a break from the above routine)…and i swear my hair grows a bit every single wash day.
    I am growing out some protective style damage so i eventually plan to go more than 2 weeks between micro trims…but keeping my hair stretched is a game changer to my hair health. I wear down, a clip, or loose low ponytail and i see my density coming back.
    It’s not for everyone but it’s def a great method to retain length!

      Same! I think it has definitely helped me retain length because I’m not constantly detangling my hair and causing breakage and split ends

    Yes to all of this! I came here because I need a in between routine outside of straightening because I know I cannot straighten my hair every 9-10 days and expect to have thriving curls 😅. I had to come to the conclusion that I hate sitting around with wet hair and I simply cannot go long without washing. I wish but I just can’t.

      I totally get it - I'm the same way! I don't like waiting for my hair to dry. I got things to do! Lol A blow dry is a good in between. You don't need bone straight hair all of the time. But a stretch blow out will take you far! ❤

      I wouldn’t recommend using shea butter when heat styling as that can fry your hair.
      Heat styling is not the best for high porosity hair because your hair is already prone to dryness. If anything I would lay off the hot comb for now. The less heat the better. And make sure you deep condition before using any hot tool. Hope this helps 💕

      @@timelesslymirnaI actually don’t have an issue with my roots more so towards the ends of my hair…the texture is still slightly there. Could be user error though since I’m very new to the RevAir. I suck at using a regular blow dryer and I feel like it’s too damaging for my fine strands so I prefer the RevAir. I’ve been loving stretching my hair every week! Thanks for the video!

    • @timelesslymirna

      It’s all in the prep! Put as much moisture in your hair with deep conditioning and styling products and only use heat once on wash day, don’t straighten your hair later and you will be fine lol

    But does it helps with length retention ?

    • @timelesslymirna
      @timelesslymirna  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Absolutely. When my hair is blown out I’m not dealing with a ton of knots and tangles, so I don’t lose a lot of hair when detangling in wash day. And it helps me create easy low manipulation styles.
      But I also wash and deep condition my hair every week. So my hair is always moisturized and nourished. I wouldn’t recommend doing this if your hair is constantly dry. Build up the moisture in your hair first. So it can withstand heat styling.

    How long does this puff last? & What is your night time routine for this style?

    • @timelesslymirna
      @timelesslymirna  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      My puff style lasts me for a week. I wash my hair weekly. At night I just pop a bonnet on and fluff in the morning. If my hair needs a reset I use a leave in conditioner and retwist my hair in flat twist and style in the morning. I only retwist once a week.

    I've seen some girls on TH-cam use grease to blow dry or straighten their hair, is this damaging to the strands?

    • @timelesslymirna
      @timelesslymirna  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Absolutely! Using grease to straighten your hair is the equivalent to frying your hair with oil in a pan 🍳 Always use products that are designed for heat styling such as a blow dry cream or an oil based heat protectant. This way you can prevent your hair from burning and causing heat damage.
