Not all the time are my videos like this
After you’ve been doing TH-cam for a while, you realize that if you’re gonna make any money at all, you have to keep people watching . Most TH-cam videos pay anywhere from 2/10 of a cent to 5/10 of a cent even if people watch the whole thing so it’s not the most lucrative business when you’re not showing boobs and Lamborghinis. I hope you enjoy the continent. Thank you very much. Have a great day.

Worked like a charm. 19mm Dodge Caliber lug nut. Used a 3/4 - 1/2 drive 12 point. Pounded it on there (straight), grabbed my 24 inch breaker bar and it came right off. Even was able to get the lug nut out of the socket with no problem. Put it in my bench vise and was able to punch it out from the other side. Your mileage may vary, but it took me all of 5 minutes.

  • @RedBud315

Thanks for the vid. I just watched it about an hour ago and went outside to do mine and it worked somewhat flawlessly. I only had one socket that I could use and after I hammered it on I realized it was a 3/8 drive and I wasn't sure a 3/8 ratchet wrench would have enough oomph to get it off. Since it was a Craftsman I figured if it breaks, I'll get a new one. I used a bicycle seat post for leverage and got every lug off without hassle. It only took about 4-5 blows to get each lug out of the socket so it only took less than 15 minutes to do the four I needed to do. I can't believe Sam's Club couldn't do this and made me wait until tomorrow to get my tires installed. I know any regular tire shop does this all the time but, I figure Sam's is we don't work harder than we have to.

The advice on a stripped lug nut worked like a charm. I like your videos. Short and to the point. The humor is helpful because we all know that when things are not working out, it is easy to get peaved. A good laugh certainly helps realign your mood.

What I always did was use a screwdriver to chisel down the side of the tin to open it up. You can then stick the screwdriver inside and pop the tin off. There’s a steel lug nut inside unharmed and you can put a socket on it and take it right off.

I used high quality hardened socket with a hole in the middle. When it was loose I placed it into a vise, then I took lug out using a hammer and a drift, hitting it trough that hole. Smashing it like this with a hammer might crack it, or it will crack partially and it will broke next time you will use it as you are putting way too much of stress into it. And you can also buy socket that is specifically designed to remove stripped off lug nuts or bolts. I guess it´s called the bolt extractor in English and I believe it´s a bit easier to use. It costs more or less the same as socket of similar size and because it does not require so many hits with a hammer, it has much higher chance of surviving more usages.

I'm dealing with a Polaris Ranger 6x6 with recessed lug nuts. A 9/16's is a hair too loose and a 12 point 14mm fits, but just rolls over. I've got a complete s.a.e. & metric "Bolt Biter" set, but they're too thick. The rims are alloy, so acetylene or welding is out. You can't even get to the rear stud flange to grind them off! The lugs are solid with aluminum end caps, so I guess drilling them out is the only option. Seems like they make stuff intentionally stupid and difficult to discourage any of the D.I.Y'ers.

You can also heat the nut with an induction tool. This will be localised and the nut should expand without heating the stud and make it easier to remove.

@@sharpcarco They don't have to be a dollar. I just got lucky and a local tire shop had them. I just told them I wanted to get rid of the factory lug nuts and he knew right away it is because they are garbage. I just told him I had bad luck with a different car that has them and I never want to see them again.

Sir. Your idea had clout and I wholeheartedly appreciate the effort. But I ended up rounding it out. So I cut it out. Bolt and all. Luckiky I had another rim. Put the old tire on new rim. And put the strut in like clockwork. Then I went to the other side and cv join5 got yoinked out. Got an exterior boot for it. Found my lower ball joint to be messed up as well. Now Im going to rig another boot onto it. This ride has been a nightmare for me on day 1. Founr out by the cops that the previous owner has felony warrants, so i had to give up my name. I hesitated because all i was doing was bringing it back from where i bought it and was 20 mins deep, vacuuming after washing it at the carwash. I hesitated because first, I didnt do anything and second, I have 3 misdemeanor warrants. Also on the way to the car wash, found a glass pipe between driver side seat and shifter. Put it in my pocket and forgot to toss it in the beginning. So now I got a drug paraphernalia charge. The real fucked up thing? They cuffed me and seached me after running my name and saying I had a 418 (resisting/fighting police) which they corrected themselves AFTER search.

Awesome I’ve been stoked for 2 days trying to find a locknut removal kit and couldn’t find none in my nor in the near by city of Miami in time. How very extremely lousy of the places Miami and some places I am that didn’t have the removal kit in their part store. Not even Home Depot that we went to had it, lousy. Home Depot said online purchase wow do you know how many of the locknut removal kit you can find online HOME DEPOT, smt lousy. In a rush or you have an working vehicle that needs it, you need to find one in these types of stores right away. I just mentioned that as part of my story so no one ends up wasting time going to these stores like Home Depot Advance Auto Pep Boys who didn’t have a removal kit. wow tremendously lousy of the stores not to have the tool kit. I will do a separate video on them. Smt. Thanks to videos like these you can do it without a removal kit. Wait you think that’s why the stores,,,,, lol. Naa. Enough about those stores. I’ve been thinking just use a smaller size 12 point socket. Then you came along with your wonderful video and confirmed it for me. Thanks so so much. I do this method then come back and comment on how it worked. Thanks have a Bless Day. Keep up the splendid helpful videos.❤❤❤

Ps, I bought a socket set to go with my new 1/2 impact driver, and the 13/16 it came with doesn’t fit right, have to bang it on. That’s why I’m in this position, I didn’t put it in all the way and stripped the tip. My four way lug wrench always fit just right. Maybe it’s just a bad 13/16 socket? The 3/4 from the set went right on my moms just right.
