As I coach Executives...what comes to mind in listening to this aspirational vision is the gap, the voices of protest, "I don't have time to relate to my people and their trauma or emotional pathways often originating in early childhood." Just yesterday I spoke with a client who wanted to only have "A" players in the entire organization. That felt it was his role to hold his team to 'higher scrutiny"....so we begin to unpack this, slowly, knowing that the system this person is in is part of what he has adapted to and wants to succeed in.
Yes that is right. Too many senior executives have been long steeped in a punitive and punishing organizational culture that demands performance without limits and reacts with criticism and harshness to mistakes, vulnerability, or even the natural impulse for connection. Its important not to take any of that as the inevitable way it has to be for flourishing organizations and optimal outcomes commercially.
I feel so inspired by this conversation. Thank you, Amy and Thomas. ❤🎉 “Not until you're at perfect peace with your past can you virgin birth the part of the future you came into life to give” - Thomas Hübl
Thank you so much for this inspiring and encouraging conversation, Amy and Thomas. I learned a lot and deepend my understanding of learning from life and contribution to life. Parts of your conversations reminded me of encouragements and guidance for learning and contributing that I am learning from Japanese Buddhist philosopher and one of the leaders of peace movement based on Buddhism - Daisaku Ikeda. There is much wisdom in life and I feel grateful. Thank you
Great conversation- thanks for sharing your knowledge with us all. Where can we obtain professional development in these concepts and related practical application?
Yes I believe, inspired by a decade of healing work with and alongside Thomas, that profound resolution and restoration is not only possible but intended to be our journey in life.
this conversation is gold. Thank you so much.
Thank you Amy and Thomas, this conversation is a treasure trove!
