I have a 2019 MacBook Air, an 8th gen iPad, an iPhone 12 and an Apple Watch 3, passed on to me by my daughter. I always buy laptops, iPads and iPhones refurbished and have always got good use out of them. If I won the lottery, I would be tempted to buy the latest models of everything but I know I just don't need them. What I have is less exciting but perfectly adequate. I really like the points you raised and it's something we all need to be more mindful of for the sake of the planet!
I agree! I have an iPad Pro (2020) and it still works as great, as 4 years ago. Sadly my screen cracked, but I still didn’t want to let go of this iPad, so I bought a refurbished iPad Air (2022) to take with me outside the house. Repairing this screen would have costed me around the same, as the refurbished iPad Air. When I’m at home, I mostly use my iPad Pro. I didn’t want to take the risk of breaking my screen even further, because it still works, so I’ll take the iPad Air with me when going outside. Yes, I could have upgraded to a newer Pro model, but this years pro, was too expensive and unnecessary for me!
@@emilsecker7881 In this case the screen protector wouldn’t have done much. The metal on one side is completely deformed, the screen would have still cracked underneath the protector.
I was just thinking about this. My previous phone Galaxy A7 2016 and current phone SE 2 were bought the year they were released. It's crazy how overconsumption has affected everyone to the point everyone's buying the latest every time a new tech comes out. I love the points you brought up and really liked the editing for the Macbook part-creative!
Im just get a new setup every 3-4 years, rn im running 14pm, Macbook Air M3 and iPad Pro M4. The phone battery is pretty fried so i will get this one new this year and then im running full “24 and will stick with that for a couple years
@@emilsecker7881 It really is, the only thing that one could really miss is lack of 5G, but fortunately where I am LTE is still more than enough for me
@@wexdust I used to think that. Having daily driven an iPhone for several years, it's not at all absolute. iPhone hardware is the pinnacle, and their software support is superb. But an area MOST ignore is apps are designed for iOS first. Even Google apps work better (less bugs, better performance) on my iOS devices than my Android devices (yes, I have both).
Still happy with my 12.9 inch 4th gen iPad Pro, 2019 16 inch MacBook Pro and iPhone 13 Pri Max. I may upgrade the MacBook Pro next year, but that’s about it
i use a 2017 gaming pc. a samsung galaxy A42 (a phone from 2020-2021 midrange). a dell laitude 3300 i dug out of a box of trash (2019). they leave more to be desired but can do most of what i need
great video 🔥lots of good points here. I agree, I only have m2 ipad pro, not m4 ipad pro, it is a big price difference. I may have a 15 pro but it is only because i used a iphone 11 for 3 years similar to how you did with XR.
I'm sure M2 iPad Pro is so much enough for you and I'm actually happy for you to stick with it. You could wait for the 16 pro or 16 since 11 is still fine for a couple months i suppose.
@@corditech yeah, I've thought I'll wait for the 16 series because it is very soon, but i'll get the 16 plus as the base sized iphone too small for my hands and the pro max is too expensive

One to upgrade the Swedes 3. It’s unsupported should’ve upgraded in 2022
Time to upgrade the series 3. That’s unsupported. Should’ve done it in 2022
Just found a sealed, never opened 2020 M1 MB Air at a very attractive price for my mom. Nothing about it feels old - it's a great compact laptop.
M1 MBA is a timeless machine for sure. Still using mine and loving it.

This is why you use a screen protector 🤦♂️

Still rocking an iPhone 11 Pro Max, I see nothing on current offers that makes me want to switch
The 11 Pro Max is still a good decent phone

l believe iphones are waste of money, android is better in everything and much cheaper

I love using my devices for at least 6 years 💙💙💙 The planet deserves better than hyper consumerism of humans.

Great video. Always wanting the newest stuff is expensive and unsustainable
Great video!
I still play a Wii. Using the discs.
This was a really refreshing take. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Remember me, when you get famous. Love ❤
My heart literally melted. Thank you for the good wishes ❤️
Great video 🎉
Glad you enjoyed!
Have you considered another tech company? 😭
yeah. especially due to apple products higher price compared to android and windows devices
