Nice review...Went last fall to this place had a great time...I don't get your one comment that it's lively after you said there was barely anyone there?

Personally after five trips to Cuba I am done with it. Its just to risky concerning the total lack of hygiene in their hotel washrooms and kitchens. The whole its Cuba kind of vibe is getting old, as the trips for two can now easily surpass the 2K mark after factoring in health insurance, tips in US Dollars, excursions, buying water, booze, etc. If I ever went again? it would have to be Sanctuary Holguin or one of the major business hotels in Havana. The rest? like watching an episode of Friday the 13th

Low Season. You should check out you tubers from 2018 and prior. Low Season resorts were 75% occupied. I only went from June, July, Aug, Seot and to Mid October, water is warmest then. beach, pools , every resort was open and busy. Some had more quests that others but they were open. I use to pay $ 600.00 CDN for a week, that's upgraded rooms, Diamond Club or VIP in other resorts. Currently, Low season is dead, loss of Canadian traveller's. Cuba received 80% in revenue from Canadian guests. I love going to Cuba for friends I met and beach. Food in the past was plenty and good! no more.😢😢

Having just returned from Cuba, I would say do not go to Cuba during the rainy season. Overall, its hot and humid as $ and the bugs will eat you alive. Off does nothing to detour these hungry sketters. The sunshine was amazing, but man when it rained, the mosquitoes come at you hard and hungry

Hi i don't know where to go holguin or varadero? Which one you recommend?

Been to Cuba many times. It's not the mosquitoes that are a big problem. IT"S THE NOSEEUMS, aka biting midges, aka sand flies, aka jejenes. They can get thru your patio screen door they are so small. Their bites are horrible that come up in festering blisters and are painful and very itchy. They were brutal 5 years ago. I can just imagine after covid, the whole tourism downturn, inflation, Cuba's current economic situation has caused large cutbacks in insect control. Just brutal.

Hey great video, here’s a sorta complicated question. First ive been to Cuba 15 times I know what to expect and I love it. Since you’ve been to Caribe and memories Holguin, if you had a free trip to either one, which one would you go back to? I know they both have pros and cons, and everyone has different things they like, but just curious which one you would chose ?

I always tip my maid with medications, like Advil, Tylenol, but also with kids stuff like Tempra or Orajel, as it is so impossible for them to get.

You're very lucky to have a job that allows you to take some time off during low season, I would love to be able to be on this beach with you, at the same time, with the same deals! But god knows that with my job, I absolutely can't !!! Well... I think I would choose Holguin since I know there are much less mosquitos. Enjoy!

Another thing is, It had nothing to do with low season, Canadians are majority of visitors to Cuba, should I say were. In last few years, 70% dropped Cuba. I went low season only, resorts were packed and all Open 5 years ago and prior. Last few years that I went, maybe 100 o 200 guests and not all resort are open. Main cause, Food, Russians in certain resorts and problems. Personally, my reason for not going, but I miss the beaches and my friends there.

Glad you're e enjoying Caribe. Been 4 times, first 2 times great, 3 and 4th, they gave me a room in a no- guest building, I was the only one in that building, ? Furthest, but closest to Beach, by Diamond Club beach bar. A/C was freezing,!!!! they couldn't fix it or turn it off, tried few times, no working phone, if I needed urgent care, they count fix the phone, obsolutely no warm , forget about hot water all week! showered in freezing water, came back to Toronto extremely ill, straight to Hospital from TO Airport. I been a VIP member for past 15 years at all Memories resorts, always a good tipper and brought new expensive gifts to all my resort servers, suitcases full, including front desk, but after so may years, it's not appreciated. They want more. So, will not go above and beyond anymore. I work hard for my money. Manager saw how I'll I was getting by the 4th day there, still wouldn't switch to better room, I paid for Deluxe Room. My friend, 1st time there, got a great room, and lication, she basically laughed that I got short end of the stick for a VIP guest! Cuba is not as it was 5, 10 or 15 and prior years ago. People changed. Beach is still spectacular. Been in Cuba over 30 times, met some fantastic people there, mostly Memories Santa Maria, friendliest, Caribe, not very friendly compared to CSM.

That beach was amazing. That resort is awesome! I'd go back there again , but holguin this year and next year is santa Maria!

Great video. I wish you would’ve included the sanctuary white sands in Cayo Cruz. I was just there a few weeks ago. I wanted to book the sanctuary in Holguin but the travel time from the airport was discouraging. I may also add that the mosquitoes were horrific at the sanctuary in Cayo cruz and I heard it’s the same in a holguin. Also, I absolutely loved the food at the sanctuary white Sands but I’ve been back for two weeks and still sick from it. Thanks again for the great video.Ps I completely agree about people with speakers at the beach or at the pool. It is so annoying. I didn’t find the sanctuary, white sand very quiet. There was loud pumping music every night and during the day as well.

Enjoyed the reviews, a unique topic. Same resort chain, but three different locations. If the ultimate goal is spending time on the best beach, then it looks like CSM is the winner. Hope you make it to Cayo Largo, our favourite spot in Cuba. It’s a challenge, as Montreal is currently the only Canadian point of departure.

Then I being to Cuba again in July for 2 weeks at The One Gallery in got bored !! The main pool was under repare and they entartainment wasent that great I hardly danced on the beach at all like I did at other resorts😅

Then I being to Cuba again in March same resort. Way way way too many people being march break no chance you get a pool chair

I was in Cuba last October at Grand Sirenis we had a lot of food even if its always the same and if you are not picky you should be ok

What? I have "never gone hungry" is the new Cuban resort standard and eating the same chicken sandwich every day is fine? I don't think of gin or whisky as exotic liquors. I am happy you had electricity / AC.

I just came back from Cayo Cruz and I had the time of my life. It was so quiet and peaceful. Gorgeous beaches, beautiful sun! I think Cuba will be my go to destination from now on. I went to the sanctuary white sands and loved it. The only down part was the mosquitoes. They were horrible. I got eaten alive. Ran out of mosquito repellent and could not find any on the island! It is the rainy season but no rain when i was there. Just mosquitoes. I absolutely loved the food and it didn’t feel like there was any shortages but sadly I am currently stomach sick after returning ( it’s been more than 7 days now). I still love Cuba. $849 Canadian dollars from ottawa to Cayo coco! Can’t beat that!

So after weeks of researching thanks to your video and a few others, I decided on this resort. My wife was a little concerned about the shower tub bathroom, in our sixties, so it can be an issue. Much easier when we were in our thirties. But overall, thanks for the honest reviews, it makes a HUGE difference. So whats up next in your travels?
