  • Join me on my first day exploring Grand Memories at Holguin, Cuba. It's a 2 year old all-inclusive beach resort that surprised me, quite honestly. Everything is clean and fresh and there aren't any other resorts in the area.
Cubans, as you might know, are some of the friendliest people on the planet. I felt very cared for during my time there. But the main attractions are the beaches, and the beach there was very picturesque when it was clean.

We went there 2 times in april 2022 and in sept 2023
We loved this hotel very much. Everything was fine.
We went to Grand Memories Cayo Largo: gorgeous.
Grand Memories Cayo Santa Maria: paradise.
This hotel was build to host Russians but because of the war, they didn' come.

I agree, it's a great resort. Definitely have to check out the resort at Cayo Largo sometime. There's really no comparison to that beach in CSM.
That sucks in terms of the Russians. Let's hope that they can get more people staying at Holguin because it really didn't feel good seeing the resort that empty.

Enjoy your relaxed, chill, reviews. Do you prefer the Sanctuary at CSM?

Thank you very much Ted. The beach at CSM is better and the power and water are more reliable since it's a more established area. But the Holguin one is new and I also preferred the close proximity to everything. It's also quieter. So both have their upsides.

Cuba has been struggling economically since the pandemic - planned, scheduled power outages have been occurring all over the island to the extent that many cities and towns only have electricity 40% of every day.

First place u ate was the sanctuary snackbar, the barbanegra.the main buffet is same for all customers, special part for the breakfast tho for sanctuary in the morning.three sections the family pool, animation pool and the sanctuary adults only quiet pool.the roof of the hotel is not accessible to customers usually, and the part of the beach with the plastic is where their beach ends and is not cleaned like the whole other side is,i love this place, nothing around but is good to relax like u say
