Mnemonic aids infest studying Chinese like fleas on a mutt. This shows a great deal of both imagination and hard work in assembling a comprehensive approach using educational psychology wedded to computer-based drill. I am stoked!! Of course we always want more. I would like to see this exact approach applied to the Zhuyin (b0-po-mo-fo) script although it has lost traction except in teaching kids and some foreign students in Taiwan it still exists and is used. Thanks.

It helps to use grid paper when practicing writing the characters. Keeps the components in their proper proportions. This is SUCH a fun language to study. Impdess your friends & family. Most importantly, impress yourself! What an accomplishment! Today is radicals practice day! Thank you so much for the video & its visuals. Expand your screen to see everything.

With remembering - sure, it _might_ help, though still not 100%, because you still have to remember where to put all the pieces and how are they arranged with respect to each other. Still, knowing radicals and their meanings won't tell you much about the meaning of the entire character itself, let alone how to pronounce it, because there's a catch: there are radicals that look the same but have different meanings (e.g. the moon and meat). And the fact that simplified characters often changed some pieces of the character into different radicals than there were in the original, changing the meaning of the constituent parts, adds to the difficulty and uselessness of this system :q Radicals aren't even that useful for the purposes of looking characters up in a dictionary, because for some radicals there are thousands of words that contain that particular radical (i.e. the frequency distribution is very uneven). And the radicals aren't orthogonal: many of them are themselves made out of simpler ones that are already there in the table. So yeah, it's good to know them, but they're not the silver bullet for learning Chinese characters :q

This really helped clear up my confusion about the differences I was seeing when I studied books that showed the Helvetica-style font vs the brushstroke versions of the characters. No wonder I was confused, LOL! I really liked the photo you showed for “foot”. Great job. Thank you so much! 谢谢!

There are many stroke order mistakes in the last “Biang” character. For example, “Chuo” can’t be written first, it should be written the last one.
