    I just got a 432hz and 528hz tuning fork. Do you know if these can be effective for healing the gut?

    • @BELightTT
      @BELightTT 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @432Hz0 That's terrific! I hope you get so much joy and pleasure out of your new forks. I don't have any evidence at all for any specific frequencies in regards to gut health. There's certainly no research on this topic. It really will require some personal experimentation on your part, to discover what works best for you. I know in general - for me, anyway - I do tend to like lower frequencies on my body....particularly my abdomen and lower body. The 432 and 528 are quite high. That absolutely does NOT mean they won't be effective, I've just never tried them for this purpose. If you try it out, please let me know how it goes. It's all worth trying! Thanks so much for watching. I appreciate you.

    I am very glad that I have found your channel. very clear and helpful. it is such a mindful thing to do.... love it! >> Are there weighted or on weighted forks you can NOT use together off or on the body? Nice to hear you play the RAV. I play RAV too ;-)

    • @BELightTT
      @BELightTT 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @happygeckovibes Thanks so much for watching! I really appreciate your support. In terms of forks not to play together, I don't really believe in that. Maybe some sound healers will have specific recommendations like that, but if you are already experimenting with sound and you have an ear for what you like, I do believe there is a fair amount of intuition involved here. I don't believe there are any "absolute no's". I hope that helps! Have a great night. 💖

    Hey Tara, really good video again, I’m also very interested in ADHD (I’m non diagnosed but definitely on the spectrum) so the subject of influencing focus using the breath is a big motivator for me. Can I make some enquiries about the third practice, the extended breathold? I did this before bed and intuitively then decided to do some alternate nostril breathing afterwards. I noticed that my left nostril (parasympathetic inclined) was super unblocked but my right nostril (sympathetically inclined) was rather quite blocked. The overall sense was probably an increase in congestion rather than reduction. Weird huh? Also, i was surprised that with a long breath hold that my system still seemed to be parasympathetically dominant (left nostril unblocked). I would have thought I would have tipped into sympathetic dominance, but my right nostril was pretty blocked! Does this mean I was a wuss on the length of hold? 😂😂 I also have a brief question about how my breathing feels when I first wake up, but maybe I’ll DM or e mail rather than spamming you here. Much warmth 💙 Steve FlowZone

    • @BELightTT
      @BELightTT 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @fitzplastik Please feel free to DM me at any time! But I'll answer a bit here as well. (Also, many thanks for watching, engaging and supporting, as always💖). Firstly, the nasal cycle. Yes, we say that left nostril is more parasympathetically-driven and right nostril is more sympathetically-driven, but also, you have a natural nasal cycle that is constantly alternating throughout the day at various frequency, which I believe is happening independently of the nervous system. Meaning, just because you're in a more sympathetic state, does not mean your right nostril will suddenly be more open. Full transparency, I haven't thought about this much, but now that I'm thinking about it, i really do NOT think that's how it works. I made a video about the nasal cycle VERY EARLY in my TH-cam journey. It's probably tediously slow and painful to watch🫣, but I'll include the link here anyway, in case there is something in there that feels relevant to your question: th-cam.com/video/vdTDCHuOUEQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NINGor06yIIDW0FX Point number 2, if your goal is to use your long breath-hold to unblock your nose and create more focus, I think we just learned together that maybe it's not the best idea to follow it up with alternate-nostril breathing. LOL😂At least, not in your case. In general, I will typically do single-nostril work before double-nostril work, just to keep things more "symmetrical" and prevent uneven congestion you were speaking about. Regarding your experience of feeling more parasympathetic after your strong breath-hold, I also made a video a while back on using breath-holds as a DOWN-regulator. Honestly, I don't remember exactly what I said in that video LOL😂but it's only about 6 minutes and seems like it might be relevant to your question: th-cam.com/video/wLY--Su_xnE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=hXmpgxWdPU1dJw0J I also made another video on the channel comparing the deep breathing to breath-holding and trying to understand if they are contradictory or complimentary. That also feels like it might be relevant here: th-cam.com/video/PBPBPz5G0fk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=DtchlZ0f2_ZFGCfL Sorry to bombard you with videos, Steve. If you DM me on IG, I can leave you voicenotes which is often easier than trying to type everything out. Hope some of this helps. Thanks again for the great conversation and have an amazing day!

    • @BELightTT
      @BELightTT 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Also @fitzplastik I meant to say before that even though there may be a particular intention for a particular breathing technique, that doesn't always mean it's guaranteed to work exactly the same way for every single person. I used to caution my students about practicing strong breath holds late at night, as I believed it would be too stimulating. However, now I realize there are a lot of different ways that we can perform strong breath holds, and for some people, it might just be that "system reset" that they need to finally relax completely. It's like their nervous system finally gets the message to just let go. This is all to say, I think we have to account for some bio-individuality and other environmental factors when considering how a breathing technique will work with a particular person. Personal experimentation is always warranted.🙌😉😎

    Hi mam hope you are doing good. I am suffering from anxiety disorder from last 6 years. Can we do physiological sigh for 20minutes,straight(3sinhale ,1s short inhale and then 8 s exhales ) Which one would be better HRV coherence breathing for 20 minutes or Phsyilogical sigh

    • @BELightTT
      @BELightTT 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi @Marian-h6y I am so sorry to hear about your anxiety. I remember you mentioning it to me recently. Honestly, I would never recommend doing more than maybe 5 physiological sighs in a row. That is quite an effortful technique, and is really designed to be a quick intervention. If improving your HRV is your main goal, a very simple coherent breath rhythm will be far more effective and much more practical. It will translate better into good functional daily breathing. I hope this helps! Thank you for asking this great question.

    • @Marian-h6y
      @Marian-h6y 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@BELightTT Mam , I want to strenghen my parasympathetic nervous system , so that i can ovrecome this anxiety disorder. I was planning to devote around 10-20m daily . I have heard breathing excerises are very good . So which breathing excerise would you recommend to me? Is coherence breathing(5.5 cycles per minute) the best? Secondly , why dont you recommend more than 5 psychological sighs, I want to know its drawbacks also .

    • @BELightTT
      @BELightTT 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Marian-h6y Hi again. As I explained in my last message, I've never heard of anyone practicing physiological sighs for 10 minutes. It is designed to be a short, quick intervention that offers quick relief. It is far too effortful to practice for an extended period of time. And it will not translate well to daily functional breathing or serve to improve your CO2 tolerance. You are, of course, free to try whatever you like, but I would not recommend that approach. Coherent breathing could be a very nice choice, around 5 or 6 breaths per minute. I am a big fan of the 4:6 cadence, because when we extend the exhale to be slightly longer than the inhale, we more so stimulate a parasympathetic response in the body. And this DOES translate well to daily, functional breathing. I have many guided breathing sessions on my channel in these cadences. Let me know if you need help finding one. I hope this helps! Have a great day!

    • @Marian-h6y
      @Marian-h6y 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@BELightTT Thank You so much for taking time to reply me. Ok so as you know I am having anxiety disorder from past 6 years and I want to overcome it. So what would you recommend to cure it apart from medications. And for breathing techniques to strengthen my parasympathetic nervous system (not breathing exercises at time of panic attack , rather to strengthen my parasympathetic nervous system) which one would you recommend ? which is the best according to you? I am in search of finding the best one.

    • @BELightTT
      @BELightTT 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Marian-h6y There is no "best". There's what actually works for you. And the only way to discover that is to actually try something. If you spend all your time searching, you will never actually do. And then there is no hope of resolving your symptoms. I've recommended to you in the last 3 responses that you try a 4:6 cadence. It is very utilitarian. Easy for most people to accomplish. Should feel very relaxing. It's stimulating to the parasympathetic system. It optimizes HRV, recovery and sleep. It is a very simple and effective technique. It is a wonderful place to start. But you will never know if it works for you or not if you do not try. You might try it, and find that it makes you more anxious! In which case, you will require a different technique. But the only way to know for sure, is to try. If you need some guidance, here are some videos for you: 1. Benefits of 4:6 Breathing - th-cam.com/video/QvWq30nPCSI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=eDxg1n-1b1T2obk_ 2. What do you mean by licensed practitioner? Is this a sound healing licensed practitioner? Is this required?

    • @BELightTT
      @BELightTT 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @EarthSpiritWisdom I believe I was just speaking in general to licensed practitioners, in this case referring to manual therapists, massage therapists, acupuncturists and other bodyworkers who might be including sound elements into their treatment strategies. As far as I know, there is no regulating body for sound practitioners, although the rules are always different depending where you live. In the US, we don't have any regulation on sound healers as far as I know. If you are planning to open a practice where you are actually touching people (even if just with sound instruments), it is always a good idea to at least get a license that allows you to "legally touch people" and offers some liability insurance. It's unfortunate that these things are necessary, but it is a smart way to protect yourself as the practitioner. I hope this helps! Thanks so much for watching and have a great day!

    Is this for real? On two types of PO i own, a choicemed and a zacurate, my spo2 doesn't drop when breath holding. Once, when doing walking breath holding exercises with the zacurate it displayed a drop to 94%. Its psychologically helpful for me to see the drop when I do breath holds. I was going to try your iguanamed PO but it's out of stock. Any advice?

    • @BELightTT
      @BELightTT หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Jay-x7q I hear your frustration. I do know that pulse oximeters can be highly inaccurate and also a bit finicky. I've been quite lucky that the one and only I ever purchased seems to work just fine for my needs. I, unfortunately, do not have a long list of pulse oximeters to recommend to you, as I haven't tried that many. If the one I recommend is out of stock, I think it's probably safest to judge according to the online reviews. In terms of your breath holding, might I ask about how long you are holding your breath? It does take a bit of time for the pulse oximeter to respond. Usually you will need to hold for at least 30 seconds after your "normal exhale". Also, for some people, it can take a bit of practice to get the blood to desaturate. Are you practicing every day by any chance? I do hear that you really would like that visual feedback during your breath holds. I would try once again to use what you have available to you. Your idea to do your breath holds with some movement was a smart one, as the movement will help the oxygen to desaturate faster. Have you ever tried breath hold squats? You can do bodyweight/air squats during your breath holds to try to increase CO2 faster and desaturate your blood. I would try 5 strong breath holds in a row, with about 60 seconds of rest in between each one. Keep your eye on your pulse oximeter, as there will be a delay. You will often see the SpO2 drop once you are already into your recovery breathing. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you try this technique and if it gets you the result you're looking for. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.

    • @Jay-x7q
      @Jay-x7q หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BELightTT Thanks for your reply! I've been working with the PO i have and I'm finally getting the visual results I wanted. The squats helped with the concept but I went back to pacing due to squats being a unique challenge for my knees. What I've been doing is exhale - 15 to 20 paces - 6 little sips of air like you recommend (I found I was involuntarily taking big air sips due to diaphragmatic weakness so I close the nostrils with my hand after taking in the tiniest amount of air to keep the air hunger noticable) - one relaxed full inhale - repeat. While doing this my spo2 steadily decreases into the 80's, periodically climbing back up. At the start it soars quickly back up to 99-100 spo2 but the further into the session I get it gradually caps off slightly lower, like 96ish. This is what I'm working with for the time being. I will say I'm worried I might be letting my diaphragm off easy by manually closing the nostrils since part of this is supposed to be about diaphragm strength and control, isn't it?

    • @BELightTT
      @BELightTT หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Jay-x7q How long does it take you to walk 15-20 paces on a breath hold? I'm actually surprised that your SpO2 is dropping that much in such a quick amount of time. Normally it would take longer or require a more strenuous activity to get the SpO2 to drop. But if that's what you're seeing, good for you. I'm not totally clear on your nose-pinching technique, but it sounds ok to me. The goal is really to work on being comfortable in a hypoxic state, so if that strategy helps you to remain a little more hypoxic just a little longer, I think it's totally fine! I'm glad you found something that works for you and that you're finally getting the desired result. Great job! I hope you continue exploring. Thanks so much for letting me know about your progress.

      @BELightTT หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi @EricDagdagan I'm glad to hear you are recovering well. May I ask what the surgery entailed exactly? I only ask because if there are any metal parts, you may want to be a bit cautious, or at least get clearance from your surgeon. 1. If there are any bolts or screws, I just like a surgeon's confirmation that the low-grade, gentle vibration will not disrupt your hardware. 2. Make sure working around the neck does not create any discomfort for you. Otherwise, all good! I actually think tuning forks can be quite helpful around scar tissue for improving the healing time, and they are definitely beneficial for pain relief and inflammation reduction. I hope this helps! What about Wim Hoff breathing ? What is the difference ?

    • @BELightTT
      @BELightTT หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi @lori5946 So, this video is really trying to define functional breathing for daily life activities. Wim Hof Breathing is a technique. It is certainly not "functional breathing", meaning you would never breathe that way all day every day. It is a short-term intervention designed to elicit a specific response. In this video, I'm more so trying to dissect how we should be breathing every moment of every day (OUTSIDE of our particular breathing practices i.e. Wim Hof Method), to be as efficient, resilient and healthy as possible. From the technique side, with my clients and students, I don't teach any hyperventilation techniques, as it is counter-productive to their personal goals. But if hyperventilation techniques like WHM seem to be getting you the results you want, that's fantastic!! I hope this helps. Thanks so much for watching. Have a great day!

      Hi @kimcarver4624 I appreciate you watching and also this excellent question. I get asked about osteoporosis quite a bit. Please keep in mind, my answer might not be perfect, and not every sound healer might agree with me. If you check the comment pinned to the top of any of my tuning fork videos, you will find my explanation. I am copying it for you here. I hope it helps you to make a more informed decision. OSTEOPOROSIS: I get asked about osteoporosis probably more than almost anything else. My answer may not be perfect, but here is what I like to explain to people. I hope it helps: Osteoporosis means you have weakened areas of bone, prone to fracture. Imagine how a high-pitched frequency shatters glass or a mirror. Your bones are susceptible to the vibration that travels through them. Is it a guarantee that the low-level frequency of the OTTO 128 will cause an issue? No. But there is some concern with continued use on an osteoporotic bone. Truth be told, there is some evidence out there that those full-body vibration platforms are quite useful for stimulating bone growth, and, in some cases, are being used to treat people with osteoporosis. This is a very different mechanism of action, however, than the localized vibration of a tuning fork, so I hesitate to compare them. Of course, you are free to do as you like, but I tend to be extra cautious, especially when teaching on TH-cam, as I am not able to see you with my own eyes and evaluate your personal needs. I would say if you want to use your OTTO 128 on your body, perhaps avoid direct contact on the areas of osteoporosis. Meaning, if you have osteoporosis in your lumbar spine/hips, you would want to use your tuning fork away from those areas, on the face, skull or feet, for example.
