I get those hook swallows a lot with a worm/wabbler. Have you tried trolling with circle hooks? I was thinking of trying it.

Jay, I just want to say Thank You for setting a good example by always wearing your PFD. It’s amazing how many people (especially TH-camrs) don’t. In all my years as a first responder (firefighter/EMT) I’ve never recovered a body that was wearing a PFD.

We were just up to Seventh and rainbows were biting just out from the boat launch. Also if you use the state campgrounds to launch you are a lot closer to Bug with no rough water if windy to canoe through.

Did you put in up stream or down stream? Im looking at map and see a convenient location down stream along rt 28. Im not sure of the currents water level etc. just looking for any pointers. Tks

That was the biggest bass I have ever seen 😮🎉. That for the inspiration. My wife and I got out to Forked Lake, it is a good lake for newbies to kayak camping.

I had to really search the woods to find firewood at tromblys leanto. Most of the deadfall was really saturated last October… Ps. was really hoping you were gonna hook your lost tackle from your previous trip down the Raquette River… maybe bedtime.

That opening sunset was incredible. I often throw the canoe in Little Clear in the evening to watch the sunset in that same direction. The ADK Addicts sure do cook up some backcountry feasts.
