How to Safely Go up and down the stairs with an injured leg such as after a knee or hip surgery. Check out advocatingfortheaging.com for tons of useful information for older adults and their caregivers.
Nice video. I was very helpful. Could you please explain why you don't prefer the ones with the legs. It seems to me they would be even better. But I haven't tried either yet.
Does anyone have any advice on how to keep water off of a floor on a with a one piece shower bench that doesn't have that option to cut the shower curtain and tuck it in. Any help would be appreciated thank you
Great!
How do close the walker
You could just put the toilet lid up and put the walker in front of the toilet lid
Thank you so much. Im not elderly, but i had a surgery before and i struggled to not make a mess in the bathroom, and it made me not want to shower as often. Now going into my next surgery I'll be more confident and comfortable using my shower chair.
Thank you Jennifer!
How do you then prevent the water from going all over the floor and making a slip hazard for afterward? I don't see how the curtain could be used with the bench there unless the outside part of the bench folds up afterward.
Great video, thank you!
Thank you! I'm a new caregiver for my disabled mother and am trying to learn tips & tricks. I have a good setup at home for her but was trying to figure out what to do when we travel and are using a friends bathroom. This was perfect as my concern was water going everywhere!
Thanks for the video. I learned this on my own just a few mins ago. Was looking for something to reinforce the usefulness and safety of it before I told her 😊
Amazing and creative solution! thanks!
That recommendation is creative. What if you open the toilet lid first and then place the walker?
Your suggestion is brilliant! Thank you
Just take the video down, it's useless! I looked it up here when I didnt find the two screws. I finally figured it out, it's the two knobs that have plastic washers, you unscrew the nut. I think if I wanted to make an instructional video I would learn this first.
Thank you for this video!! I just built this walker for my dad. 5 years later and the instructions for this same product are still so vague 😭 your videos helped me build it way quicker than if i just did it by myself haha
What a waste of time
More great ideas !! Thank You. 😊
Thank You , I am taking notes for when my MIL comes for a visit.
Thank You & I will be using this idea for my MIL.
I’m trying to find a waterproof Walker that I can take into the shower- can u help me?
I hate you quit making videos. You did such a good job. Hope you are doing alright. I always worry when I see someone make videos and then just stop. Hope you will let us all know you are doing well.
I got a walker like this from Walmart thank you for sharing, it was a nightmare directions from Walmart they need to give better directions.
Thank you for this video!! ❤
Why do none of these videos show how to UNFOLD THE WALKER!! WE can't get my husband's to UNFOLD 😢
I have a bed frame not a box frame can it still work
So glad I found this video. I was struggling with the legs
Thank you
And how is this going to stop you from falling over sideways?
I just don't see how this can work especially when the user is not within the walker and the brakes would take too long to activate if you are not gripping them all the time
I see people walking without their fingers around the brakes, so if you trip forward you will never pull the brakes quickly enough to avoid hitting the ground
I don’t have a curtain but I have glass doors. Now what?😊
Either remove the glass doors and put up a curtain rod and curtain or find something different than this type of transfer device
I broke my leg and ankle and need to use a transfer bench. I like your idea of using a towel on the bench. I tend to stick to it and am having difficulty sliding across. I will try the towel tomorrow. I have cut a slit in the shower curtain. I also use a plastic bag on my leg to keep it dry. I find keeping my leg outside the tub and propped up works well for me. I arrange the curtain to cover the whole area and have a hand held shower. Water outside the tub is minimal.
Very Good!... #20 ✝ {8-13-2023}
I had the same issue with the wheel that it would not fit in the tube, you fivured it out for me thanks. Time is of the essence
I have had 1 legs to floor, it moves to much and I weigh 180 lbs. Also a 3" mattress pad on. I have much pain r. And left lumbar spine. Dred getting up. I will watch video in bedroom. I also have 22 year old bilateral knee replacements
Hi! Thank you for your video! English ain't my first language so the instructions made it difficult for us but I found your video and seeing you putting it together really helped us a LOT! My mom and all of us thank you! ❤
Up to heaven with the good, down to hell with the bad.
Nice Now to video. Have you ever sat inside the tube then inserted the curtain into the gap? I'm not that big 185lbs and I would have a very difficult time doing your suggestion if your sitting on the chair. I think you need to try your idea from the inside and take a shower and get wet! I'm missing my feet so I can't stand up to put the curtain into the slot and when sitting on the chair I only have use of my left arm.
U WERE SO HELPFUL
Cutting the liner and sliding it in the gap/slat was brilliant. Thanks for the video 🙏🙏
Thank you for this video. Very informative 👍🏼❤️
Thanks so much for all these useful tips! I just broke my ankle, may have to have surgery on it, and can't stand to be dirty. So I ordered one of these benches. It will be so nice to shower!
There is a strap on the right side of the seat. That is to help you fold the walker to put it in a car. When attaching the back rest, lift up that strap and thread it around the back rest. That will keep the strap within easy reach at all times, especially if the person using the rollator has issues with leaning over.

Thank you!! We've cut 3 curtains tearing out how to figure out how not to spill water everywhere. We also have a tub cutout and a transfer bench for my grandfather but we were struggling. So I just wanted to say thank you for making this video
😮 oh boy!!!! No wonder I am in pain using my rail to get out of bed. 1 I put it on wrong. 2. I am not rolling over right. (Spine damage). I will need people to help me. Also ....it moves! Thank you for helping this 67 year old woman.😊😊❤
You can adjust and raise the wheels for taller people.
Thank you for figuring out to remove the plastic caps. I was getting ready to send this one back.
Love my rollator!
