I wonder, since this is an odd name, did someone who wrote a certain book where the action takes place between the shore towns of West Egg and East Egg was inspired by the name of this New Jersey town and harbor? That, of course, would be Scott Fitzgerald, and the title of the book is The Great Gatsby.

We enjoyed this immensely, thank you. We have lived in the area and visited all of these areas by boat and land for many years. My first visit was on my first boat in 1969.
