I been to Sub-Zero meetings...they told us 6 or 7 yrs ago that laying them down for a short time has no negative affect on the appliance.. and the new CI subs are out now and same with them...also works with the pro 48s... But I also wanted to say u guys work great together...

Sub pro comes apart so easily I’ve used the 4 wheel method but I only do that when height is a problem I’m out of the game going on 2 years now

Yea it would take more then 100lbs off but on these built in refrigerators it would take so long to take them off and put them back on we do that all the time with stand alone refrigerators

That’s cool. One thing I took pride in was most high end stuff like Viking Monogram Subzero are made in the USA. I actually switched careers though, I don’t do this anymore. I mean really, how much longer could I let 800 pound refrigerators crush me like that lol

Well I delivered them for 10 years and I’ve moved on to a better career but I never liked those shoulder straps I was a hand truck guy all day

We work 2 man sometimes, but we fight to have 3 men on the truck. We do between 15-8 stops a day, 6 days a week. 3 man truck makes it better.

For those 48” monogram the contractor get paid the whole $400 for not having assistance from another team ..

Believe me I’ve been delivering appliances for 17 years the last 10 I’ve been doing subs along with blue star monogram and it’s taking a toll on my body hopefully in the next month or two my car will come and I’ll finally be able to get out of this job

It’s definitely smaller out of the box. I guess it depends on if it’s getting installed right away. If it’s getting installed in the next few days or it’s a swap with an old 1 then out of the box. If it’s gunna sit for a long time I’d leave it in the box, it’s more stable and protected, especially if it’s going in a garage or another room until it gets installed. It can be opened inside a house, just a little harder.

Yeah 48”s are heavy and yes we do the 60 inch range they’re tricky if you’re going to use the hand truck with straps you need an extender because the straps aren’t long enough to go around and if it’s going up more than a few stairs you have to stand it up which presents all kinds of other problems because the side panels are just thin stainless steel sheet-metal so you have to protect them with Masonite and cardboard then when you get it in the house you still might end up having to stand it up to get it into place but then instead of standing it up on a handtruck a flat wheel dolly is best then youNeed to protect the floor really well for when it comes off of that dolly it’s not easy but when we stand them up I usually take the doors off which is a no-no if you ask wolf but I’ve done it so many times I do it anyway

You have to have somebody come and do a survey the stairs may not be possible it might not physically fit up the stairs it had to be done by a professional delivery man somebody who does that for a living and if there’s a turn in your stairs that’s a big trouble a lot of chance for the fridge and or your walls to get damaged not to mention very dangerous for the people doing the delivery It might end up being a lot easier to just take down that handrail

@@Assureddominance I may have to opt for a 2 piece unit like the Subzero. Problem is the 48 still needs to be taken away. I will seek a mover and get their ideas. thank you

If your stairs are straight and there’s clearance height wise it’s doable and a 48 subzero only the compressor can be taken off it saves you some height but not much like 5 inches I’d have somebody do the survey first because if the stairs are good it will save you a lot of money

First off get some masonite and get it under or right behind the pallet remove the four half-inch bolts that connect the refrigerator to the pallet Get three people one on each side and one behind and slowly one side at a time inch it off the pallet until it’s on the Masonite
