Thank you for making this
THANK YOU!!! GREAT TIPS! GONNA GO BUY ONE OF THOSE TOOLS! ❤
So much easier than the manual. Thanks!
Thank you!! Couldn't figure out how to remove until this video
How long it took to finish?
About 3 hours
Nightmare on the driver's side to reach it with the battery installed.
Yes, indeed it is
It’s the holiday season here in Minneapolis & I volunteered to switch the door on my friends LG dryer from opening on the right to the left (without consulting a YT video or reading the manual first). The bracket on the bottom left fell inside the dryer after I took out too many screws. Oops. This video saved my tail! I never would’ve assumed there’s 2 clips holding the top down. Wow! Christmas is saved! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Awesome. So glad it helped!
Thanks, you read my mind! Excellent from Central Florida 🌴🇺🇸
My pleasure. Glad it helped!
Can the police do anything in this case?
Check with your local law enforcement, but it’s possible that you could get a ticket for doing this.
@ okay thank you
What if it rains?
We don’t get much rain here which is why we went with painters tape. If you are going to be driving in the rain a lot you might try gaffers tape. Let us know your experience if you do try it out! Here’s an Amazon link: a.co/d/8zIQ8md
my lighter fuse was blown a while back. I have been using the one in the glove box instead. Now I want to fix it. I will pick up 15A fuse from subaru. 82210AJ150 is this the correct one? I just need to replace it, right?
Typically there is a reason the fuse blows like a coin got stuck in there and it shorted out and blew the fuse or something like that. I would make sure there is nothing in there and replace the fuse. Here is a link to the ones I used. www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/blister-pack/littelfuse-blister-pack-15-amp-low-profile-mini-fuse/lit3/lmin15bp
I did my jku last year. I used solar led lights as long as you leave unit on as soon as it gets dark the lights would come on. My jku is an unusual color so tape looked stupid I used the clear small & extra small command hooks
Interesting. Let us know how they do when you remove them. I’ll be doing a removal video to see how the painters tape works.
Too dark to see.
Yeah that lighting was tricky around the tree.
i have a 09 BMW M3 i just used one box of 327 feet long lights and that covered my car! I use the same power invertor lol! To open you're doors leave a little slack and it should open! If you have a sedan u wont be able to open the back two like mine!
Nice, sounds like you have a good system going!
quick question was wondering if masking tape is a good decision for me in the UK becuase it rains here, any ideas for tape that is waterproof and wont damage the paint
You could try using Gaffer tape. Another viewer suggested it might be better than painters tape. If you give it at try please let us know! a.co/d/bgcHxVT
how long did you leave the tape on the car?? it says it’ll damage the paint if left on for awhile and i’m scared to do it
It’s been on for about 3 weeks so far and I’m not seeing any damage or residue when I take a piece of tape of, but YMMV
Should there be any issues if the car has a panoramic roof? Any risk of ceiling cracking?
I wouldn’t think so but I can’t say for sure since we didn’t put any lights on any glass.
You want Gaffer tape which is safe and more secure. painters tape will not work for long
Yeah that would definitely work as well. A bit more expensive.
@ yes but a lot cheaper then having to repair any damage to the car
Very good point.
How much of the light did you end up using lol
😂 yeah math is hard. We bought 6 strands of 250 lights and we used 5 of them so 1250 right?
I’m running 1300 lights on my frs with a 400 w power converter. The cigarette lighter fuse keeps blowing when I plug in the lights to the converter! When I plug the converter straight up to the battery it’s fine and works ? Do I need a bigger fuse ? Or what I’m so confused why everyone else’s fuse don’t get burnt out
I know it might sound silly but make sure you don’t have any coins stuck in your power port. I have seen that happen where a dime or penny will get stuck in there and case the fuse to blow. You can also try the other power port in the glove box to see if that one will work.
@ I did I used both and both ended up blowing, just replaced them both, getting a bigger fuse is a bad idea right ?
@@jason46179 your maxing out the amount of power for the cars stock wiring. Adding a larger fuse will put you at risk of your car lighting on fire.
Yeah I wouldn’t recommend that.
@@handy.ginger figured out lights weren’t LEDs 🤦🏼♂️ so they were too powerful
Handy ginger never disappoints 🎉
Thanks!
Can you wash your car with all the lights on? Or are you stuck until you take them off
I would not recommend washing it with the lights on but I have not tried it so I’m not exactly sure what would happen.
I was going to do this but afraid the lights will scratch my paint if I daily drive it for too long because I have to get on an expressway where the speed limit is 55. How fast have you gone in that car with the lights on?
So it’s been about 2 weeks and the vehicle has been driving over 200 miles…most of that was interstate driving at 75 mph or so. No noticeable scratches or blemishes at this point and only a few spots needed to be re-taped. This was mostly due to how we started taping until we figured out the better way to tape things down. Your mileage may vary but that has been our experience so far. For safety reasons you should definitely check out the tape often.
@ appreciate it👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Is it going to put scratches all over the truck/damage the paint with the bulbs rubbing against the vehicle moving in the wind?😢
You should rob a bank with that car
If only it were turbocharged…🤔🤔
Do the Christmas lights scratch the paint?
Great question and this was my number one concern with doing this. I have been watching and I don’t see any noticeable scratches at this point but I suspect when I remove the lights if there are any blemishes they will be apparent then. I’ll also say that just to be clear the paint would certainly not be affected but if anything would be damaged it would be the clear coat. If that does happen *most clear coat damage can be corrected. Might be future content for a video 🤷♂️
Yes. If glass lights get plastic it will still Scratch but minimal
does the power inverter have an off button?
Great question! No it doesn’t. The next level up from this one does if you would like that as an option. In the BRZ it’s handy to just plug it in and out as needed.
Love , love!🧡❤️💚🩵🧡💗
So now your inverter can blow the fuse again
So far so good. Just keep the coins out of there and you should be good. 😂
nice work but i dont think ill ever get over that trim piece
Yeah it wasn’t my favorite either.
A friend has an LG DLE4801W Elec Dryer that is not heating. Several videos online but none showing how to get this model apart. Top appears to be one whole piece with digital controls on the back raised panel "backsplash". Just need to get started and the rest will go like you explain here I am sure. Thanks
Hmmm, yeah not sure on that model.
Huge help! Great thorough step by step. One of those plus/minus fixes. Plus is we can dry clothes. Minus is back to folding laundry. Appreciate your time making this video.
Awesome, glad this helped you.
This was so incredibly helpful! I was able to swap out the parts and fix our dryer by myself! My dryer had the exact same issue. Thank you for your thorough explanation; It really gave me the confidence to be able to fix this on my own!
Awesome. Glad that it was helpful!

What’s with the animation in the instructional video? That’s annoying
Yeah, thanks for the feedback. I was trying to be funny that the instructions were like the hokey pokey so that's the animation that's coming through as a joke...
Thank you so much. This is the only thorough instructional video on the topic that I was able to find. No Shortcuts, no assumption of prior knowledge. Every single step is shown and explanation are included. I was hesitating to do the repair by myself but after seeing your video, I replaced the complete drum support and drive set I bought on amazon. The cost was less than the belt alone at parts stores. Wifey is happy, and the wallet didn't get much thinner.
Really appreciate the detailed comment and so glad this video helped you get the repair fixed AND save you money!
Hello, are yHello, are you interested in trying our smart irrigation controller?
No thanks, I already have a smart irrigation controller. I use the Rachio 3.
@@handy.ginger I know, but I still want to send you our controller so you can compare our features with Rachio. We also have unique features compared to Rachio.😊
Repaired and replaced the felt gaskets and drive belt on our 8 year old dryer. Cleaned out about 3 miles of hair and 5 lbs of lint … now it does the 1/4 mile in under 6 seconds! Thank you so much for posting this Handy Dandy Ginger!
Awesome. So glad that it was helpful!
Just did this today, exact same car and stereo. Wish I would have found yours earlier! Well done.
Thanks and glad the video was helpful.
I bought my Rachio-3 12 Zones in 2022, I don't know why my controller only allow me to set the interval Odd Days or Even Days only, it does not have like water Every 3 Days or so on?
Yeah you should be able to do all of that. To set up a Rachio 3 irrigation system to water every two days, you can use the Fixed Schedule option to select a daily interval: Open the Rachio app and select your controller Select the Schedules tab Click Create Schedule Select Fixed Choose the zones to associate with the schedule Name the schedule Select Daily Interval Choose Every 2 Days Select when the schedule should start and end You can also use other options when creating a schedule, such as: By day of week: Select specific days of the week to water Even/odd interval: Water on either even or odd calendar days Hourly interval: Water more than once a day, such as every hour, every two hours, or every four hours You can edit a schedule by opening it in the app, tapping the fields you want to change, and then tapping Done to save
Is the back window suppose to go up too with the back window button? Mine only goes down but won’t go up
No, it will only roll down with the key fob. You can use the key (insert into the back key hole and turn) or the rear window button on the dash to roll the back window.
Thank you
My pleasure 😀
I am just replacing the rubber piece over my switch. I need to know how to get the old one off?
I’m not sure that is possible. At least it wasn’t for mine. I had to remove it and replace the whole piece.
Another fantastic video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks! Lost my owners manual so this was helpful!
Awesome. Glad it helped you!
