International 4120 Skid Steer Update Episode 2
After getting the International Harvester 4120 skid loader home from Nebraska I got it running and ensured all systems were working and gave it a hydraulic oil and filter change with fresh Viscosity Ultraction. After proving the machine was going to be ok I pulled the wheels and tires, ordered new tires and had the wheels media blasted and painted.
Stay tuned for the next episode where I get it back together!
The International 4120 was built for IH by Hydra-Mac of Thief River Falls, MN and sold by IH under the "Hustler" series of skid loaders.

International 4500B Forklift Trip
มุมมอง 23214 วันที่ผ่านมา
I make a trip to Buffalo Wyoming to pick up an International Harvester 4500B forklift I bought on an online auction. It was a long drive and took some extra efforts and hydraulic oil to get it loaded but I got it done and drove all the way back to Denver without working trailer brakes. After changing the trailer brake hydraulic module I was back on the road with working brakes! The drive home w...
International 4120 Skid Steer Trip to Nebraska Part 1
มุมมอง 21128 วันที่ผ่านมา
I bought an International Harvester 4120 skid loader on a BigIron auction in Nebraska. Made a trip to a friend's place near Lincoln, NE to pick it up. Had a great steak with my friends at Round The Bend Steakhouse, home of the "Testicle Festival" as they are famous for their rocky mountain oysters. Along my journey home I stopped to visit other friends in Oklahoma and we tried to get the little...
International 280A Backhoe
มุมมอง 501หลายเดือนก่อน
I go check out a friend's International Harvester 280A backhoe in Indiana. The IH 280 Series A backhoe was only built for a couple years and was the company's last new backhoe design. It had a lot of improvements over the earlier machines. The 280A used the International D358 diesel engine and a Clark 18000 powershift transmission and a Rockwell rear axle. This massive machine would have compet...
Steam Roller Walk Around
มุมมอง 54หลายเดือนก่อน
I make a stop and check out an old steam powered roller. I couldn't find a manufacturer name but it sits on display in Trinidad, CO. I suspect it was built in the 1920s or earlier due to its riveted construction and boiler styling. Gasoline powered rollers replaced these in the 1930s.
RMIHR 2024 Creede Colorado
มุมมอง 5452 หลายเดือนก่อน
I take a trip to the 30th annual Rocky Mountain IH Rondevous in Creede, Colorado. This is a great show for International Harvester enthusiasts to come show off their trucks and other IH products. This show isn't just show and shine, there are events like trail trips, a wild game cookout, judging, awards, 4x4 games, and more! This year the show was held at the Underground Mining Museum in Creede...
Minneapolis Moline UDLX at Keystone Museum
มุมมอง 1622 หลายเดือนก่อน
While visiting the Keystone Museum in Colonial Heights, Virginia I stopped to film a beautifully restored Minneapolis Moline UDLX tractor. These tractors are very rare and highly sought after due to low production numbers. They were way ahead of their time. equipped with a cab, heater, horn, wipers, road gear, and more they were meant to be a farmers automobile and tractor all in one. the Keyst...
International TD-14 Walk Around
มุมมอง 4303 หลายเดือนก่อน
In my travels in California I found this early International Harvester TD-14 sitting and I stop to check it out. Its an early IH TD-14 with an American Bosch injection pump that I am unfamiliar with unlike most with the big cast iron IH pumps. These engines start on gasoline and switch to diesel when warmed up for ease of starting. An interesting alternative to Caterpillar's pony engines. Altho...
Central Maryland Antique Tractor and Gas Engine Show 2024
มุมมอง 1763 หลายเดือนก่อน
Stopped by to check out a small tractor show held in Frederick, Maryland at a Gladhill Tractor a local John Deere dealer. The show is put on by the Centeral Maryland Antique Tractor Club. It was a nice small show with a few vendors and a few interesting oddball tractors like a old Deutz and a Oliver Cletrac. Lots of International Harvester, and John Deere as usual and a few Case, Oliver, and Al...

Hough HM Payloader walk around
มุมมอง 3653 หลายเดือนก่อน
I saw this old Hough HM Payloader in northern California on static display so I stopped to take a closer look and share it with you. International Harvester purchased the Frank G. Hough company around the time of this machine's production. Hough was a pioneer in the powered wheel loader business. This being one of the early four wheel drive models. The term "Payloader" was coined by Hough but b...

This show is famous for being one of the largest gatherings of antique industrial machines such as steam shovels, draglines, cable shovels, bulldozers, loaders, scrapers, dump truck...
Eastern Antique Power Association Show 2024
มุมมอง 2914 หลายเดือนก่อน
On my day off I find a small antique tractor and engine show in Washington, North Carolina hosted by the Eastern Antique Power Association. It was a small show but had a great variety of tractors, engines, antiques, automobiles, and even local crops. A variety of makes and models of tractors from a beautifully restored John Deere 4020 Diesel, a few Johnny Poppers like a John Deere 620, to a Coc...

Cool! 😎
Cool stuff!
Just saw your forum on red power, definitely neat finding all of this! My dad and I bought one last year, but it’s not hydrostatic. If I would’ve seen your forum sooner I could’ve gave you dimensions on the panels! Luckily ours are all there BUT I’m highly interested in the wiring kits you have as ours is a complete rats nest! Do you have a link or anything for them?
@@billybob7831 glad you found the forum thread! the company who made them is Porch Electric in Illinois, although they probably aren't listed on their website yet you will have to call. They make them to order. But there is a serial number cutoff so you will need to know if your 260A is an early or late production to get the correct harness ordered. www.porchelectric.com/
hope you restore it to its former glory
The B 61 that you actually got close to and commented on is a B67,which has several big differences to a B 61!!!
Always liked these machines. Where were these manufactured?
The "skid units" comprising of engine, transmission, axles, etc were built in Doncaster, UK then imported and finished into a forklift I believe at the Harlo facility in Michigan.
@@deserttrucktractor2514 cool!
That was really interesting!!..I love International/Dresser/Dressta equipment!!
Looking good. I hope you finished it.
Would you happen to have a part number for the snap ring removal tool? Deere says the tool doesn't come in the kit they sell...
@@joshscharf9031 I do not have the part number for the individual tool. But it was included with my kit, and mine was a Deere kit.
Thank you so much for making this vid. I just got a couple 1572's and my buddy recommended to do the same thing. Thank you. Great vid..
That things cool!
I remember when these were sold new. Ive seen these units far and few in between. I like these and the 3600A backhoes.
Next time you are near Lincoln if you want to come see our hough h12 collection you are more than welcome
@sawmillfarms I have heard of a Hough H12 collection in Nebraska but didn't know any details. I would love to check that out sometime!
old is always gold
Hello sir. I am also thinking about buying a 50’s Hough Model HH and wanted to reach out to get some advice. Do you possibly have a business email that I could reach you at? Thanks!
@@carlosborunda872 deserttruckandtractor@yahoo.com
Very clean unit!
That's about the nicest looking old IH backhoe I've ever seen.
I have a 260.. They look like they were carved out of a single block of steel.
@@bradjenkins932 I have a 260A as well. Been a good machine. Very well built.
What a great lookin machine for its vintage, pity that the rear jib is fixed in one position.
Que tipo marca de transmisión usaba este equipo?
@@michiganloader795 the transmission in these was built by International Harvester's Hough division. It's a 3 speed powershift transmission.
@@deserttrucktractor2514 ok. Entiendo. Pensé que era Allison. Supongo que no se consiguen repuestos. Me están vendiendo una, pero tengo el temor de no conseguir partes.
nice job , i worked three years restore the r5, one of 537 .
Great job Bob G!
This show is definitely on my bucket list. Very cool!
I’m sure there aren’t very many of those around anymore. Definitely a survivor!
I bet the tray area above the water tank is for the coal or firewood, I guess the fireman just ran alongside and gave it a scoop.
That loosens up that rusty undercarriage 😮
Dang that's cool. I hope I can drive my IH 200 to this one year.
What an awesome show! Video very well done.
Awesome that your rig is reliable enough to make a long haul like that ! Looked like a great show !
That thing is cool!! Way ahead of its time with enclosed cab.
Dan the man!
what a cool truck!
Wow what a history. As a kid i was around a lot of ih hough and payhauler. Always wondered what happened. Also remember when dresser got involved.
IHC trying to go head to head with cat was a mistake, they didn't have the money to do so, especially when they had too many markets/divisions to fund! Ihc was a jack of all trades, but a master of none!
I own a 782 d diesel cub cadet I love it it is a great mowing tractor
I have one. Mine is a C model. 500 hours. Didn't know that you can't get undercarriage parts anymore....
Not hibinder cornbinder 😉
❤
Before Komatsu arrived IH was a distant #2 behind Caterpillar according to A Corporate Tragedy book by Barbara Marsh.Have both those book.
I have a 77 highboy, all original, it has 3.54 to 1 axles.
Pretty nice looking survivor !
imported stuff no sales much poor parts backup
Awesome show. Thanks for sharing 🤘
MAGA 2024!!!
Nice truck. I also have a 77 highboy. Love the dentsides.
I have this tractor I need a track tensioner. Can anyone out there help me?
@lynshackelford6048 You need the whole track adjuster? Or the seal kit to rebuild your track adjuter?
@@deserttrucktractor2514 both
One side is just seal. Otherwise has crack in cylinder
@lynshackelford6048 there are 3 seals to rebuild the adjusters. Part numbers 378726R1, 464048R1, and 675140R1 all of which show availability through different vendors. As far as a complete used adjuster I can't help you. But there is a guy on ebay parting out a 500C. He doesn't have a adjuster currently listed but you might message him and ask. His ebay name is antiquetractorpartsofvermontsteve.
I missed the show this year. Thanks for taking us along!
Excellent video! You can look at their equipment and tell they were really built to last!
I remember riding in this truck
The TD15's had gas start diesels I actually had an opportunity to operate it when I was a kid. I knew a person who worked for MTD and he called it Machinery Tool and Die. You also didn't mention the logging skidders they made. I had a friend who owned one. Thanks for the interesting video! I dld learn a lot of things!
You ever see a Hough H-12 tracked loader around?
Haven't seen one in person yet. Hopefully someday.
