That guy needs to play with his muzzle loader more, should get better groups then that at 100yds. switch to loose powder (bh209 is my favorite) and see what it likes. Amazing how much even 5 gr can make in a group. for example 100gr of powder with the 300gr exp and harvester sabot was like a 4 inch group at 100yds, 110gr of powder and same bullet/sabot gave a little over 1". Switched to barnes t-ez and that will stack them with 100gr of powder. curious to see what 105 and 110 will do with it

it really depends for long range bolt action for close range semi auto

now before i watch this video, what i am thinking is that the muzzle energy collected in the gas system to reset the receiver on a semi auto would be a significant loss in muzzle energy for the round to go down range, picture the gasses having to reset the receiver rather than keeping the gasses in the barrel to propel the bullet at a higher velocity found with bolt action. many of you may not agree but why do we all hunt with bolt action as opposed to semi auto rifles? many of my semi auto's are either shotguns or .22's..

Bolt actions are better but the m107 is a beast. Also the bolt actions are usually employed as teams (shooter and spotter) which makes it more effective. The extra range that the bolt action gives can function as an area denial tool. Nobody is going to want to go within several hundred meters of a well trained team. Increased range allows the team to be farther away and harder to detect their position as well as increasing the stand-off distance (my weapon shoots farther than yours).

awwww man, those federal slugs aren't able to keep up with the new Hornady Sabot slugs, or the Remington accutips. Out of my 12g Mossberg 500 rifled barrel i'm able to put 1 hole at 100 yards with either of the rounds, and 1 inch at 150 yards with the Hornadys and about 1.5inches with the accutips.

Guns & Ammo magazine runs a joint sting operation with the ATF where they have an ad to make your AR-15 fully automatic. You order the kit, they wait a little while to guarantee you installed it, then they raid your house and confiscate the fuck out of your life. Always Think Forfeiture is what is on their minds. I know of a case out of LA where they harassed a guy's wife because HE had the fully auto toy. It took 2 yrs for her to beat the bullshit case. ATF has been found out. Spread this truth

There are AR style semi auto's that are 1/2 moa accurate these days. So if you can get that kind of accuracy and have it in semi auto, why not? People don't understand the direct gas impigement system in AR's. no parts move on a gas impigement system AR until the bullet has already left the barrel. The same cannot be said about the newer piston operated AR's.

I say it depends on how much money you have. $600 or less .308 for a bolt action that shoots in less than 2 MOA or $1700 .308 or more for a semiautomatic (such as an AR-10) that shoots 2 MOA or less. Both are fantastic firearms it is more are you willing to pay that much more for semiautomatic.

Went there with my father a few years who after the cabin was discovered. It was a real Spartan place but yet rather beautiful in a way. What the report left out was that they found some bullets as well, of the Winchester repeating rifle type. The rifle was however never found to my knowledge.
