Fishing, motorcycles, nature, and pets
For me, fishing is not about catching ... it's about just getting out there. I don't always catch the most or the biggest fish, but I always enjoy it. I don't ever want it to feel like work. I am never competitive about it. I will film my adventures and try to make them as entertaining as possible even if only a handful of people watch.
Motorcycle rides clear my head.
Nature and pets make the world special.

1:55 LOL! Good stuff!
Idiot. Thx
You sold or in traded in the Hewes? Great vids.
Trade. Palm city yachts. Dunno if they sold it yet. Thx
@@straightouttajupiter Cool, I see a Hewes on their website. I was just curious. Did you like it?
A great day of fishing. Hit me up if you want to go fishing sometime.
Thx
What’s the boat?
Bulls Bay 2200
Doesn’t look like Jupiter inlet?
Nope. Psl
I appreciate the feedback. I’m in a similar place, sold an east cape vantage which was sea worthy but a bit big for the flats and now trying to find a better compromise. Easier said than done. I’ve been looking at the 17 hox but like you fear it is a step too far back in terms of size. The -8 hpxv might be a great compromise but hard to fun and affordable one. Looking at some east cape options but not sure where I will land. I have a bay boat so I guess I can get away with a smaller flats boat since they serve different purposes but not sure
I don't know the east cape boats. As far as MBG in my opinion the Redfisher 18 is as versatile as any 18 foot bay boat. And for me, when I decided to go to a bay boat i went much bigger- 22 ft, which no 18 foot boat can compare to. And a lesser brand to keep cost low. Good luck
Doesn’t seem like you respond to a lot of comments but if you do, I would be interested in understanding the rationale of all the different boats you’ve had and the struggles in finding the right boat. I would say perfect boat but no such thing. The 18 hpx would be a highly versatile boat for what you do but then you traded down to a 17, a different boat vs the 18 and too small for the versatility you need. Then a red fisher and now a bay boat. You are all over the place lol
Hey i always answer. Just not when people ask where I'm fishing. That's not fair to other fisherman. The 18 maverick was a great boat. At the time I was poling and I thought the 17 would be easier. But I didn't like it. Too small. Waves crashed over the gun whale while spot locked in the inlet. When i stopped poling, I went with the redfisher 16. I needed a boat that would fit in my garage and the RF 16 fit the bill and was much more stable than the mav 17. When I moved to a new place with no hoa, and no need to garage the boat,I decided to get something bigger. I would have loved the RF 18 but the cost skyrocketed. So I went the bulls bay. 22 ft for even trade on my RF 16. Hope this helps.
really nice snook in the surf! also thank you for releasing that snook like you should. So sad seeing people do poor releases on snook big or small.
Thx. And you're welcome. Yes need to protect the big breeding females especially
Nice rig 👍
Thanks 👍
So... New Boat every year? You've had some beauties! Thanks for the videos.
Well not quite every year lol but yeah situations change requiring different boats. This boat will fish this area really well. Thx for watching
Nice video Captain, what pound braid were you using on the inshore snook?
20 lb powerpro
Congrats on the boat! I really enjoy your vids and commentary!
Thank you very much!
Congrats on the new boat 👍
Thank you
Congrats, should be more comfortable offshore and still let you get in shallow, that 22 foot size is super versatile and still easy to manage by yourself!
Very true!
Thx
That’s actually a sandbar shark.
Others have commented the same. Thx
I wouldn't be leaving this spot until all fish are gone 😂😂
Yeah wasn't easy
How does the 90hp push the boat? Thinking of getting redfisher 16 dont know if i should get a 115hp or not
Around 40 mph. Sips gas. Perfectly balanced. I like the 90
6:28 where in Florida is this beach? 🙏
Stuart
@@straightouttajupiter thanks 🙏
Just found your channel! I've seen you've owned Mavericks and your new RF. How is the RF handling chop and big waves compared to the other mavericks? Is the RF more tippy than the Mavericks?
Hey thanks for watching. Mavericks and Redfishers are two completely different boats. Unless you're poling the flats, the redfishers are more stable, smoother and drier in chop than the mavericks of the same size. The redfisher 16 imo is the best 16 foot boat on the planet. Awesome boat. And fits in the garage. I don't do any poling anymore
Have u handled the R16 in a heavier Chop? How u you like the ride compared the your previous Hpx ? Thanks again! Your videos are great! 🙌🏻
I suffer from lower back issues so in heavier chop I keep my speed fairly low. Trimming the bow down and heading straight into the waves, the boat handles well. Personally I think its the smoothest riding 16 ft hull out there. Much smoother drier compared to maverick 17 V. Thanks for your compliment
Watching this has me ITCHING to go get one right now! Bad ass video, dude!
Lol. Thx
Fly fishing is so fun and exciting, it’s like a drug. Also what’s your fly rod? I use a st crowd mojo bass fly and its a shorter rod but it’s a beast.
I'm a fly hack, so I use a cheap piscifun fly rod. I have a 9 and 7 weight, both 9 feet, with sage spectrum c reels. Thx
I miss big bluefish
Me too. I'm from NY. Such a treat down here
You fish the navesink? Great river
@@straightouttajupiter I used to. I’ve been down in Stuart and now Port St. Lucie for seven years. I did a lot of kayak fishing there and in the ocean off Seabright and Mammoth Beach and enjoyed it very much. My favorite place for big bluefish besides around the oceanic was that dog beach in Manasquan and near the weapons pier in Leonardo. Amd of course, sending book
Wow, nice! I look forward to your posts.
Yeah sorry. And, thanks!
Fantastic morning and video! I just returned from Florida catching flounder, reds and trout. I had the most success on trout. I used my Hobie Compass which did well and got me back safely on some tough afternoons however I just picked up a new Hobie Lynx. How do you like yours? Thoughts… Thanks for taking us along! High Noon
The lynx is not as stable but I love it. Does what I need and is light weight easy to transport
Thx
Who is Wade and why is he fishing for snook and not you?
Everyone a comedian. Lol thanks for watching
Curious if you departed the Light House Inlet(maybe north toward Stuart), and not sure what you mean about small fly... Nice to see that technique. Do you think it's early for black T to be in season?
Psl inlet. Small feather trolling lure - you can find in any tackle store. Not sure about season but I think it's typical for this time of year. Thx
I love raw tuna! When did you switch to the redfisher? I've fished many many hours on a 90s model in the keys it's a great boat!
Have the rf16 for about 2 years. Love it too
"Social distance" catches the down vote
I don't know what this means
Hot damn the footage that you have shared is incredible. Thank you!
Thx
I fished by myself nearly all the time. I wore my stop switch lanyard whenever I was underway, making way. My boat was a 21 Maverick Master Angler. I loved that boat! I lived in Panama City Beach and fished the bays, creeks and the Gulf of Mexico. Anyways an instructor at Sea School told us that most drowning deaths in Florida were of male persons. He said and most of those could be attributed to guys taking a pee and going MOB. I took it to heart and when on the Gulf I always wore my pfd, even in the heat of summer. I also practiced going MOB and being able to get back into the boat. He also told us that anyone that goes on the Gulf of Mexico without a vhf radio was a f in' idiot! I took that to heart as well. 😊 Tightlines, Mike
Yeah I should set a better example. I do have and epirb, vhf and satellite messenger in the boat but yeah if I fall off underway I'm fucked
Also I never pee over the side. Always into a small bucket that I keep on board for that purpose
You're better 'n me. I mostly just peed on the deck and let it go out the scuppers. Good on ya for havin' the epirb. I had heard of one feller who had a line made that floated, that he put in a cleat that he thrower overboard figurin' if he he went MOB he might could grab the line and stay with the boat. Not a bad idea. I never fished the Atlantic but i know the currents in the Gulf are awfully strong. A person in the water and the boat could part ways pretty quickly. I'll quit bothern' ya now. 🤠
Nice video. I would have been happier if it showed you wearing a pfd and using your stop switch lanyard. Us older guys gotta be careful.😉
You're absolutely right. Thank you
What are you using to see the forecast? i just got myself a little skiff. i really want to take it out on the beach but super paranoid about it.
I use the windfinder app and noaa marine forecast and only go on glass calm days. Jupiter inlet also has a decent Webcam to see actual conditions. Always best to be safe tho so your paranoia is warranted
the drone footage spotting the fish and showing the fishing was so cool to see. Really beautiful bluefish as well, looks like a lot of fun !
Thx. Yeah the fish were very healthy looking. Video was just a taste. Was nuts

Thanks for watching!
Hey, what sunglasses are those?
Hey sorry I have several.not sure what I'm wearing in this video. I'll review. Meantime I can say all I wear are Oakleys.
This is great footage. I'm making a documentary about shark depredation and wondering whether we could include your video? I can send you my email address if that sounds like something of interest to you! Thanks, Sam
Please do!
Great videos. You going out of Jupiter inlet or Palm Beach?
Thx! Jupiter and PSL
Nice fish. Tip... take forceps when you fish.
Good tip!
Nice one!! I do really enjoy your videos
Thx!!
Nice footage. Nice Fish! Change your fly. Have a 4 flight rotation set up before you start. Do not spend more than 10 minutes Not Catching fish, with the same color fly! You never set the hook. Use butt of the rod, not tip, to fight strong fish. You could not pull the fly line from between tip of my fingers with the tip of your rod. The butt you can pull me down! You will break your rod pulling on the butt with your left hand, an Expensive lesson! Just so friendly advice! - Peace
Appreciated. Thx. I'm a hack for sure
Nice snook! Worth getting a little wet for.
Yes it was!
Great catch, I love stie fishing them along the beaches in the summer. What's the largest one you have caught? Still trying to break 40 myself.
45. Thx
What a fish! I always look forward to your videos. As usual, good stuff. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thx
Beautiful Boat
It sure is!
Nice catch brother, what live bait you use ?
Whatever I can find lol. That day it was threadfin herring. I said pilchards a few times but I meant threadfins. Thx.
ah that's the same thing hahah, i never see you use splitshots? do you never use weight when fishing on your kayaks or boat?@@straightouttajupiter
Very very nice 👍👍
