3 parts in and I’m sorry but I have to say the narration of the message markers before EVERY ship to ship communique is beyond f***ing annoying. Only the accents made it bearable and understandable. You could have done without that nonsense and still achieved a faithful narration, as well as make clearer a convoluted political storyline.

I bought this book when it first came out, have read & reread it several times, and listened to this upload a few times too... and I can not believe that it's taken me until now to realise that Vatueil's hacking run taking place in the ice core of a waterworld is probably a subtle nod & reference to William Gibson's Sprawl trilogy and the idea of Intrusion Countermeasures Electronics & those ICEbreakers developed to defeat them
