The movie birth of "softly blown English rose" Julie Christie...but it was in 'Don't Look Now' that she really caught my attention. So beautiful, so sweet, so vulnerable!

Every single actor in this film is exquisite but Peter O'Toole is operating on another astral plane. Utter delight. Magnificent.

Umm. is it just me, or does the choreography of this fight make it look like the original guard wins against the one hepburn brings to the dungeon? the one of the right is hers, he turns and gives up his back to bash the hand, then the next shot shows them going down, now somehow with the guy on the left being on top and putting the knife into the other's face. Really, it just looks like the guy that won was the original dungeon guard, and he just decided to switch sides.

Yes, but where's the part where the man behind th curtain says "you turd!"?

Who's that lady at the desk? She looks like Sylvia Sidney, but I can't see her name in credits.

The scene of the chance meeting with Councillor Duxbury on the hillside is good. Wise illuminating words from Councillor Duxbury and he's nice to Billy despite his misdemeanours.

A classic. I love the bit with the sauce bottle. It's clear he doesn't understand that they don't understand what he means by "my material".

He was a great father but too bad he couldn't stop drinking.

This film and Billy Wilder’s ‘the Apartment’ are my favorite Christmas films ever, both top-notch every time I see them.

Forget all this foolishness. Skip to the part where the man behind the curtain shouts " you turd!:
