I remember watching your videos at the start mate. You'd have had this in mind all along I'm sure and it's finally come together perfectly. The maturity of the palms, plants and trees combined with the stunning white tiles and swimming pool design. My all time favourite area the firepit looks as classy as ever. All those years developing your landscaping skills has paid off Jamie. Superb finish, really high end. Like a 5 star resort. You should be very 👏proud 👏👏
Thanks James! Its a little different now isn’t it 😂 it does feel great now that we can all enjoy it a little and each year will just be filling out now and maturing. I’m glad you have also enjoyed the project, it does help with the motivation keeping youtube and instagram progress pages and sharing the journey with others ❤️

How are your birds and tortoises getting along? I plan to make an aviary/tortoise enclosure as well.
Hey! They are all happy thank you, so happy we now have 12 love birds from babies.
Really enjoyed the tour mate. You've come so far over the years. Love the hard landscaping. Palms are coming on great. Love the Bismarckia around the place. I know the reason you started all of this was seeing one of those so it's makes sense they're around and about. My favourite area has always been the firepit. Love the maturing planting around it. Great work mate
Thanks James 👍🏻 its starting to come together now and having some mature plants really makes a difference! Especially with all the dry heat we have. Still planting plenty of small stiff around which i am hoping in a few years to have some pretty cool palms growing in the garden 🤞🏻

Thank you! Hope to see more people planting rare palms and tropical plants in Europe too 👌🏻 my greenhouse is very empty because this year i planted almost everything! Even small Seedlings because in summer it gets too hot in the greenhouse and for me its easier to care for the plants once they are planted in the garden. I will do a video soon on what new plants and palms i planted because i am trying some very cool palms 🤞🏻

Thank you! Babypalms is a good place to get palms. I try a lot of different places and just have to keep an eye out for rare ones. Palmtalk is a good forum too where you can sometimes find good seed sources 👍🏻
Great to see another update! Pity that some palms have been lost, but that's how we learn... And the garden is still looking very beautiful!
Thank you! Yea its sad when you lose something especially here its very hard to find rare palms! But i now make more effort to give them the best chance of survival.

@@tropicalgardenspain199 I see. True I guess. I think they do best in half-full shade and needs to stay moist. So give them a shower during the night (timeclock)

How many times is it? Can the temperature drop to minus? There are plants that I want to grow even in Japan.
The temperature does not drop to minus usually. We maybe have 1 night a year where it can drop to 0/-1 but does not happen every year.

From all over really. I placed a few orders from Hawaii, America and baby palms in Spain

Such a classy design mate. I love the 2 sections, smaller shallower pool for the kids which will stay warmer longer I guess plus the deeper swimming area separate. Beautiful planting in between. The tiles around the pool give a 5 star hotel finish. Great work. I'm a big fan of the finished product Jamie👍

Are those the Bismarckias from your recent videos? Giving me hope my Sabal palmettos will come back. They didnt like the transplant and root disturbing. Look exactly like your Bismarckias back then. Spear is still tight fortunately.
Yes, they came back and look great! They even spear pulled and still made it through 👍🏻 fingers crossed for your Sabals
Incredible collection! Are you also growing any bamboo like Bambusa oldhamii or Dendrocalamus?
I have a small black bamboo in the garden but not sure which type it is.
@@tropicalgardenspain199 Oh a Phyllostachys nigra probably. They are a running type bamboo, take care its not gonna invade everything. Bambusa and Dendrocalamus are more subtropical/tropical bamboo and are clumping so they won't invade the whole garden. Might be interesting to try in your climate 😁

The place looks superb. Highlights are the Bismarckia, that stunning firepit area and the hammock (I'd love to know where you got that from?).
