Hi, the fern is called Asplenium nidus and is an epiphytic species known as the Bird's nest fern that roots itself to trees in it's natural habitat and warmer climates. This variety has adapted it's self well to ground floor landscapes.

That plant is a Birds nest fern .
Mate try to find some silver Bismarck palms and some triangle palms....... those palms i mentioned are quite hardy.
