    You did a great job illustrating the hike. But I’m disappointed in the You Tube thumbnail you used. It’s just flat out inaccurate and misleading. Very disappointing since you did such a good job with your video of the trail.

    • @JoeyBeRunning
      @JoeyBeRunning หลายเดือนก่อน

      You don’t have to. If you keep going forward there is a much safer route coming back down and around. It’s about a mile altogether.

      No this way up is one way. Going down it would cause problems. The way down is gradually and you can make it a bit longer by hiking the bowl lake spur or continuing on to Gorham mt.

    I am sorry to report that on Saturday, on a date with a super hot girl wayyyy above my pay grade, we got halfway up there (just before the iron ladders started) and I chickened out. I have terrible acrophobia ... thought I could push through it but no way. We turned around and went down. The girl was super nice but man she must have thought that was weenie-ish. After all, a boyfriend is supposed to be the all-conquering hero. I mean, there were plenty of young kids headed up and I'm sure they had no problem!! We went on a more normal hike the next day and everything worked out beautifully. I just cannot deal with heights!!! ... it's weird, it causes this panic or something. Hard to express!

Curious, when you went upstream to cross, did you notice any campsites there? We were hoping to camp there for the night.

    That's not a cheap price for Mexico! I've traveled all over Mexico, and 3 dishes plus those drinks would have been the equivalent of $15 in pesos. But I understand why. I imagine in Boquillas, most of the people eating there are Americans from Big Bend paying in the dollars, so they upped the prices. Anyhow, thanks for this video. Very helpful. I plan to visit Boquillas today.

      @@thelmadickinson6811 I went up to that exact point at the 3 minute mark and I just got so clamped looking around that corner. The super-cute girl I was with must have thought I was nuts. It didn't matter ... even if Margot Robbie had promised me a blowjob in the car on the way home if I climbed this thing, I couldn't have done it. I'm athletic and I'm sure it wouldn't have been physically hard to do. But it's impossible to describe the feeling; something just snaps in me and it's just not gonna happen no matter what. Acrophobia is the oddest thing.

It’s $5 to get in. There is always a line of cars but be patient it won’t take long there’s always cars leaving. Well worth the short wait and the 5 bucks and that gets you a day pass that is good for the other the National forest locations and there are a few others nearby.
