The Bar Island Trail in Bar Harbor, Maine can only be traversed during low tide. During the low tide period, the seafloor is exposed allowing you to walk across the Bar Island Land Bridge. Took that hike one chilly and windy morning in early June this year, it is extraordinary to walk along what usually is under several feet of water. By all means do this when you visit Bar Harbor.
