So I just use a LAN cable hooked to my PC which I don't have or in my case, a dedicated AP connected to one of the LAN ports and then login to OpenWrt and start by removing the bridge and creating two ssids on the main router, one for guest and the other private.

I'm trying to create two trunks to distribute VLANs and connect to two other towers, each with two access points (one Mikrotik and the other a CPE510) The main tower is where the core switch (crs112-8P-4S is connected to the main router. Would you please be so kind to make a video for that setup?

Hi Hristo, this WirelessWAN will change the MAC address of the device or not. I have a wireless network protected by MAC address. Can I use these setttings?

If you also want to set up a wifi network, you need to do an extra step: Go to "Network> Wireless" Click "Add" to add a new wifi network. Make the settings as you like and *make sure to choose "LANrelayd" in the "Interface Configuration> General Setup> Network" field.* You MUST select "LANrelayd" to have access to the internet, otherwise you will only have access to the OpenWRT page. Thanks for this great video, you solved my problem.

Thank you, how can I relay using a dual-band router in OpenWRY? I'd like to connect to the primary router using the 2.4ghz interface with subnet A, and share the internet on 5Ghz interface and different subnet to separate the local networks, and both have the internet. Thank you.

I went into the wireless tab after completing all the steps in the video , added a new access point, linked it to wwan but when I go about connecting a wireless device it gets stuck at "obtaining ip" , (DHCP configuration thing?). I don't know what I am talking about. Please help

Hi. It works only if i put static addresses on my notebook. If not, I am not getting any ip and i don't know why... Main router is Mikrotik HAPlite, second (client) is TP-Link 1043 v2 with OpenWRT19

Can someone explain to me what is the purpose of CPE? I have 2 Mikrotik routers 1 as Home AP and the other set as CPE. I've been thinking that using 1 router as CPE it automatically becomes a wifi range extender. So I have the other router in the bedroom to extend the signal but seems not to be doing that. For me to achieve this I end up creating a virtual WLAN, that's why i want to know the purpose of CPE.

Simplest but effective tutorial. Thanks brother. I have one more small doubt about it. How can I assign a static IP for this extender/ repeater that will not affect the network in any way?

Openwrt is complex
