Loved this... I made my first Magic Mirror in 2013 after going to a high class H&M where they had a full length magic mirror where you could try on their clothes withouy having to try them on in the dressing room. I was obsessed with it and after I was shot in my head in 2009, this revived me ngl... I learned basic coding, how to solder, run wiring, problem solving as a whole, and some minor woodworking (I didn't have a dad to show me this stuff so it felt like I leveled up lol). Your tutorial makes it so much simpler than when I did it (Amazon didn't sell this stuff.) Question, where did you get the ywo-way mirror and acrylic? Amazon?

Looks great. Clean work. The only thing I would add is a basic railing on top. There's definitely some tricks where you might end up on the deck and it's easy to fall off the back.

Make sure the grain of the plywood is going horizontal when you bend it. It's obvious to most but just adding that bit of info.

I'm inspired, but at 72 I don't think I'll make one. I would have loved it 30 years ago though.

Is there a way to do this with a cellphone? Like make my cellphone look like a magic mirror? Edit: I work the Renaissance faire as a witch but I cant use my phone and thought it would make an awesome use as a prop and an awesome phone cover.

Question: if your planning to plant fruit and veggies, is it best to leave out the plastic layer?

I have a couple of questions. First, how long is it? Second, and I’m honestly just wondering, why use cedar 2x4s when you paint over it with exterior paint? Again, I’m not trying to be a smart Alec I just want to know the reasoning over going with pine since it’ll be protected with exterior paint.

I think what would make it better is to add a sensor so it knows there is motion and then itll turn on. Because it being on all the time cant be good for the monitor

You can sharpen your drill bits with an angle grinder. It's worth it. Also use oil for drilling metal
