Bear in mind extrusion grade aluminium will be a lot less suitable for casting with, you may find any casting you make with this is weaker than expected

Thanks for sharing. I’ve been polishing a buck 110 and I’ve been trying to get it to perfection because other videos I’ve watched have always shown their work from a distance. You showed it up close and my work looks just like yours up close thanks for doing this I’ve been racking my brain for 3 days. Thumbs up for sure.

Since you cannot close the lid you should invest in a few iron slats to cover what you can so to minimize the heat loss.

It's fortunate you just do this as a hobby. I don't think anyone could make a living doing it - unless they had the capacity to do it on an industrial basis.

I think you may have stumbled across a way of making copper bright and shiny. As the reason for the orange is oxygen coating in wax whilst cooling could work they use oil baths on hot steel. Awesome episode
