BQ24780s Laptop not charging but works from charger and battery

I had the same fault on a asus Tuf506IV, works on charger, works with a charged battery, but the battery would not charge... it ended up just being the 1st input mosfet that was shorted, I replaced it and it worked fine

Very helpful hint. Good job there. I've been trying to fix asus a456ur for the last 2 years. Changed Bq24780s 4 times and still not charging. 😢 Same stuffs. charger works ,good new battery works . But never once charging

Newbies like me have a very slow pace of picking up. A steadier video footage would have been awesome. Finally, how did you repair the mainboard. You left the 2 wires there?

I have faced the same problem, acer turning on charger and on battery that have charge but the laptop is not charging.Now i think i know what to do but i don't have schematics to verify the fault

Not exactly, it's probably not sitting properly or the circuit broke somewhere along the line before reaching the Current sense resistor
