STI Bumper vent install (OLM). Use primer!
Everything you need to know is in the video. Please watch it carefully. Essentially you’re gonna need to get a new pack of VHB tape or automotive molding tape, some form of adhesive promoter from 3M I used 3M 111 adhesion promoter. Sand the overspray off the back of the BUMPER event, and then carefully placed the new tape onto the vent after cleaning and priming the sanded area.

if your trying to go for something a lil more compact maybe the maximum defense pdx brace/stock
For the love of god just buy a mcx and be done with it
Well this is definitely not legal in California
It's too bulky for conceal carry.
For summertime yeah
You still like the hot pocket ?
The hot pocket is great for maybe 4 mags then you are going to want some type of pic rail cover for the top rail and or gloves. I have never used a rail wrap that replaces the need for gloves unfortunately but in short yeah, the hot pocket has been great and I would buy it again. 😌
@@nickslosubi690 thanks dude, I’m in Cali so I train with 10 round mags that’s about 12 mag changes before I’d have to go and put gloves on I think I should be good then I usually don’t go over 150 rounds per indoor training session, only time I get to 500 and up is at an outdoor so this might work just fine then
What kind of ar gun name ?

What size hand idle screw did you buy?
I bought one on amazon by a company called “nice cnc”. I selected my make, model and year. Its still working perfectly
Thanks for the quick reply. Great video
What screw did you buy?
I bought one from amazon. Company called “Nice cnc”. It’s holding up perfect. Just select your make model and year.
Unfortunately they don't make the short version for the G19 Gen5 models without the half-moon cutout. I just bought the regular size one as it's still pretty compact and doesn't print any more than the one in this video since the added magwell material is in the front of the grip.
What folder is this?
they are gonna have to do alot of refinement on this product i can already tell
Add another spacer on that sight. I dont think its high enough smh
Well I would but the gun has been completely disassembled to avoid breaking the new rule/ law for the pistol braces. Higher mount= less neck strain though. Try it before sht posting next time yeah?
I can’t rotate my throttle body enough because the throttle cables hit the exhaust. How did you rotate yours without removing the exhaust?
All I had to do was loosen the clamps and spin it. Removing the exhaust is fairly simple if you have to but I did not have any issue spinning it.
SLR makes wagwells with or without the half moon cutout. Depending on what frame you have.
Is it safe to use torch while gas tank is still on?
I'm not allowed to say yes but If I were to do it, I would be super careful and try not to hit any fuel lines or anything that is flammable or can melt. The point of the torch is to just soften up the Loctite a little bit. There are chemical sprays you can buy that do the same thing without the heat risk.
@@nickslosubi690 I took it off and put small flame on the area. It came right out. Thanks for replying.
And suddenly, using an ar pistol as the law wants is cool
Only problem I’d have with these baseplates is I also have a gen4 G19 and now I’d have to differentiate between mags for the gen4/gen5.
I would only run the one base plate in the gun while carrying it. Mag changes with this base plate tend to chew up your hand because it gets pinched in the half moon. I only use mine for the first mag that rides in the gun, spares are all OEM or extensions that are compatible with other models.
Question, of all videos I’ve seen, I see people using it folded without a buffer in the tube. Does that imply that this system when unfolded, not need a buffer and operate as a regular AR system? Or does it still need a buffer to operate as intended?
It is advertised to work folded or unfolded without a buffer ststem (tube, spring, buffer).
The C is probably more reliable, they were just trying to appease people who refuse to use an adjustable gas block with this M model.
Thats what I thought at first but it looks like the M just has stronger recoil springs to counter the excess gas pressure. That would mean the M should have less issues with dropping the bolt on the first round and getting it into battery. Even if the recoil springs are the same and the M just has a crimped gas key, they would both suffer from the same issues.
piston
All day, if you want a folding platform, get one that comes from the factory folding and you will have no issues. This is a solution that finds problems…
Shot a lot more a different day, this was all Freedom munitions .223 reman 55gr fmj. It did not run well unsuppressed. The gun ran unsuppressed with 5.56 but I keep having an issue of failure to feed on full mags. 25rds and below on a 30rd Pmag gen 3 and it runs great. Full 30 and it will FTF on bolt drop and on cycle. Cleaned and lubed it, the issue persisted. At about 200rds now. More to follow.
What caliber you shooting and how many rounds did you go through?

@@nickslosubi690 finally made it to the range yesterday. I’m having the same issues with releasing the bolt after changing the mag. It won’t feed the first round. Shooting suppressed 300blk with the ARIC-M. Think imma purchase some 300blk specific mags and see if that helps
@@wilsoncombatant6033 Try lubricating the guide rod rails. Mine got a little bit better when the springs and guide rods were wet wet wet. I still think it should operate wet or dry but thats just me. 🤷♂️ Good luck!
you think it’s worth it?
Initial thoughts are that its a great concept, but long term testing and evaluation would deliver a better answer. In terms of “is the idea worth it?”, that all depends on what you want and need. I rarely see a use for the folding function so in all honesty, the money could be better spent on training and maybe a good optic/ light if you don’t have one already.
right on
As of right now I can not recommend this setup. Ive had too many issues with not feeding the first round on a full magazine. 30 through 25 tends to be the sticking point where the springs are not strong enough in the ARIC to strip the rounds out. I used a few fresh mags straight out of the wrapper and it failed multiple times with intermittent success. The system would likely work with oversized gas accommodations and stronger springs.
Monkey guns
I don't understand
Hey Will, This is just a quick video showing the new product functioning. Usually an AR pattern firearm requires a reciprocating buffer and spring contained in the buffer tube (back tube on the gun). This product allows the user to fire the weapon while folded when used in conjunction with their folding tube system.
@@nickslosubi690 very familiar how AR platforms work, got a few myself. My only question is. Where the bolt go though? Haha
@@willking8084 Gotcha, The bolt looks to be a standard AR bolt, the carrier is a bit different than standard, the buffer is gone and the action spring is now two smaller springs. The entire system is contained in the upper receiver similar to what can be found in the Sig MCX lineup.
@@willking8084 It pretty much gives you a bolt that is like a long stroke piston. So you can shoot it folded, but it only works with the Law folder.
Can i used any short hub for my wrx sti 2017? I’m planning to set up quickly release and short hub nrg steering wheel
Red loctite would be a horrible idea.
Only the worst of ideas lol.
Just an FYI, that "modification" of your brace is a no-no.
Thanks Nick🙂

@@LuiDineroo it probably fine just make sure you’re screwing it in as straight sis possible try to put it in the mag well without the grip first

i wish they made the short version for the non half moon cut as well

The price point is what’s keeping me from buying one for my Glock 19 Gen 3. I can only assume that they are made of gold and not aluminum? 😆 I’ll probably end up getting one tho but it will definitely be last. My G19 is going to be my Winter ccw. Right now I’m carrying the Springfield Hellcat which I’ve been carrying since it came out. I got it pretty early when 1st released.
Great Video Bro I Have To Get Comfortable Speaking When I Make My Videos. Great Work Keep Shootin
Success 🙌🏿
Very cool
Sorry, could not hear you speaking. I got eight of the new mags and not one issue with the SP9A1 Gen 2. But I never had any issues with the first mags that came out or the metal lipped ones either. However...I had mass failure to eject rounds all the time, hence why I tried the metal lipped ones. Turns out my problem was the stock bolt spring, it is too heavy. An admin in a Facebook Stribog Magazine Issues group said to email Global Ordnance and request the free lighter bolt group spring, and I had it in two weeks. My Stribog then was unstoppable, not one issue. If you have this issue too, get the lighter bolt group spring.
Thank you for the information. I just bought my SP9A1 Gen 2, 3 days ago. Need to get the brace for it, and some more magazines. Been shopping around and looking into all the aftermarket parts that are available for this gun. I bought it because I got it for $700 at my work/local gun shop. Couldn't resist. Especially because I kind of like it since I first held it. Then I did reviews and I'm glad I got the Gen 2 instead of the A3, roller delayed. If I had the funds to buy an SP5 or a CZ Scorpion, I totally would, but for my budget (stupids bills, I have adulting) this was perfect for me. Still looking into things before I buy away and end up with useless parts I don't use... Anything you recommend for aftermarket parts that you like on your Gen 2? Please and thank you for the information.
I'm not sure what spring I have in mine, Would have to check the serial number for when it was made. got it around march 2021 So it might be "New" enough, IDK. Thanks for the heads up!
Metal feed lips shouldn’t be needed with the improved polymer being used in the curved version. Less brittle and supposedly more like what is used by magpul.
I hope a different material makes the difference but there is no doubt that the first gen mags were brittle. Too many people having issues to ignore. The next few months will tell us how good these new mags are.
Ma men, is there anyway you can maintain cruise control with this?
There’s probably a way, but I have not messed with it. Be safe about it if you try, thats a serious system to mess with.
A promising start. Very strange they didn't carry over the steel reinforced feed lips from the gen 2 straights, though.
these things are built like a sherman tank, where the stick mags were like a geo metro.
To be honest, the curved mags feel very similar to the first gen stick mags with no metal lips. Im sure we will know in a few weeks how good or bad these new ones are.
never needed steel in the first place mine are old af n still look brand new but i did just order 2 curve and 1 20 shorty ..
A whole lot of talking for a simple 2 minute video. Good Lord.
You see the dislike button? Use it, LOL
Also, Did the video help you fix the issue?
When you shot with the magwell would the magwell slip off the gun? I bought a strike industries magwell and it would slip off
No sir, This Magwell stays on 100%. I recommend some blue thread lock on the set screw but even without the thread lock its GTG.
