Im making a stripy cardigan for my grandson at the momemt and half way through ive just found your video wow 👌🏻 game changer for having to work in loads of ends. So will be trying this for sure 👍🏻 happy hooking everyone 🧶🫶🏻🧶
@@SuperRonnie1970 wonderful! Hope it helps save you some time. Happy hooking and thanks for watching!
Hi .....I love your video ...and this is a good xmas gift for my book worms.....but I am new to crocheting and would need to know ...What size hook did you use please.....Thank you
@@adolfosanchez8744 hi! I’m my demo I used a 6mm hook and yarn but you can use whatever yarn you want and hook size it calls for. Just note if it’s smaller than 6-6.5 mm it’ll be a much smaller bookmark. And the same if you go above the 6 mark. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching 🤗
How many stitches would I need to make a baby blanket? You are so good at explaining everything and easy to listen to also. Thanks so much.
@@tracygrierson4920 hi! Thank you for watching. For a smaller baby blanket approximately 30x34 depending on yarn size and tension you will begin with 115 chains. That’s multiples of 3 + 1. This would be based on a 6 - 6.5 mm hook /yarn. Hope this helps!
@ thank you
Would this be applicable to tunisian crochet as well? If so where would the color change occur on the return pass or the forward?
@@nadeausaunderson-barber4801 hi! I’ve never tried it with Tunisian. It should work and wherever your patter calls for the change. It will tell you to change at the beginning of the forward or end. I will have to try this! Thanks for watching!
@@helmsfamily Thank you❤ I will try it out soon.
I have a thread and a cord burner, for use in finishing braided and beaded jewellery. It melts /fuses the thread ends together . I Must give it a go with this technique, after trimming close to knot, so it cannot unravel. Maybe useful in one ply lace yarns when knitting too.
@@Lillia_Cre8tiveConnexions yes! Please let me know how it goes. I’ve wondered if something like this instead of fabric glue would help. Thanks for watching!
Thank you, Thank you ❤ for sharing this ❣️🙋

Wow! All these years of doing the magic knot / invisible join and never once have I even thought that it could be used to change colours at the end of a block. I also didn't know that only one knot moves so wouldn't have tried it as I thought it would move to where I didn't want the join. This tutorial is BRILLIANT - thanks heaps!

@@MM-th4zu thanks for watching! Glad I could help 🤗
Great tutorial on showing the magic knot when changing colors. I do think your video should have better lighting due to shadows that make it less clear.
@@andradr100 appreciate the feedback! Definitely lesson learned.
It's not knotting. I can't figure out how to knot 2 ends together
@@debpfleiger803 you don’t knot them together per say. You have a yellow and white strand … tie the yellow around the white. Tie the white around the yellow. Pull them together and that makes the magic knot.
@@helmsfamily thank you. That makes sense. I worked perfectly now. I was trying to tie them together
@@debpfleiger803 great! Glad I was able to help. Thanks for watching! 🤗

just a random question, I am left handed, will this make a difference? my knots are back to front, does this make sense?
