Welcome to my Linked-in :). Currently having fun on the challenge to make cars drive themselves as much as possible as Product Owner for Vehicle System Integration in North America for a L2+/L3 ADAS Project (inc. Radar, SVC, FWC, USS, DFC and ADAS ECU). +Application/Calibration Lead. Have had a stint in the past also calibrating ABS, TCS, VDC, HDC, … those acronyms we’re never sure what they mean that are inside an ESP module. Enjoy a lot to see vehicle dynamics in praxis, car-control and precision/limit_handling driving. Have a passion for helping and sharing, so if you see me in any event be aware my cars are always Taxi's. Don't hesitate to ask for a passenger lap. :)

Fully stock 718 GTS 4.0 MT with -10mm Optional Suspension (10mm higher than the default) and Michelin PS4S N0's. Stock alignment, tire pressures,... Lessons Learned: - Absurd levels of grip. A 12 year journey baby-stepping RWDs from ~100hp (Miata), to ~200hp (BRZ), to 400 hp (GTS 4.0). Was it worth it? Yes. Woah wth, your stock exhaust actually shoots fire?!
Also a surprise to myself. But: these Kart tracks are pretty tight/slow and hard on the vehicle's cooling systems (you don't get a lot of air flowing) -> so after a few laps, you can see in the video the catalytic converters glowing red on some takes -> then the engine has to enter a "component protection" mode, meaning make the fuel mixture quite rich so by itself it can try to lower the catalytic converter temperature (at some point if this fails, engine management would start reducing power output) -> then, on a hard WOT, that's sort of a "form follows function"... you got a rich mixture on a glowing hot exhaust = flames. So here not a gimmick, just a side effect to "normal" engine operation, but quite cool... haha.

@@whatskookin6429 he's talking about the car, not the driving. It's actually so odd and so common to see people downshift to first gear at 60 kph on the cayman. Idk why is that, if it's the lack of turn in on corner entry or lack of power on corner exit, but it's weird and costs a lot of time. He had massive wheelspin and oversteer on the exit of a lot of corners and hairpins.
