The fact she went through a double mastectomy strongly implies that there was a genetic component to cancer. That is an extreme surgery not to be taken lightly. To suggest the reason why her mother had cancer was because of diet or lifestyle made me feel sick to my stomach at how disrespectful that is to her mother. It’s true that cancers can be caused by these factors, but it sounds like a genetic reason in her mother’s case.

So... have we all not learned from the LuLu LaRoe Netflix documentary? Also, why the hell would I order from a "Zyia" rep or someone hosting a "Zyia party" when ... there's this thing called online shopping. They're up against Temu and Shein. (It sounds like they're trying to be a Shien/Temu MLM with something released weekly which is insane!!) Even op shops (who are flooded with fast fashion). Oh... DePop anyone? Facebook groups and marketplace? No? Again, why would anyone waste their time/energy with a clothing MLM. I have not had to spend much money in the last four years because again people thrifting their clothes to me, me finding free clothes online and thrift store/op shops. It's a loosing game. Okay, adding Zyia to my list of MLMs that'll cease to exist in 2026.

Has anyone had a pair of these? I didn't know this was an MLM until I started getting into anti-mlm content, but I have a couple of pairs that I got as a gift from a friend. I like how they look but I could not possibly feel more uncomfortable wearing these. They just squeeze me in all the wrong places, it's painful to be honest. I'm not a "beauty is pain" type of gal so they sit in my drawer. 😆 Curious to hear anyone else's opinion on them if you've ever worn them.

In an attempt to learn more about how to make her hair healthier she got certified as a trichologist & I’ve gotten the best advice from her w/ tons of drugstore stuff.

An inch of hair growth in five months isn't unusual. Hair grows bit by bit. Also, putting something onto your hair won't make it grow, it grows from cells under the skin, inside the scalp. Monat didn't grow your hair, the passage of time did.

More proof that the products are irrelevant; this is a commercial cult, the goal is to get people in and keep them paying into the scheme forever. The product could be literally anything, the tactics are the same.

a lot of the first few points (like give people a chance, network = net worth) could honestly just be considered regular life/job advice. my ex had a STEM bachelors degree and was applying for jobs in tech consulting and data analysis type fields, and the only way he got his first big corporate job was by networking on linked in and at clubs/events for his major at his university, talking to his professors and his classmates, making ocnnections with alumni that had jobs he wanted, to grow his network of data analysis and consullting professionals, which led him to get an internship with a decently sized but not big 4 consulting company that then formally hired him on after his degree was finished and paid him 80k a year fresh out of college.

The fact that she has become product-exclusive is a big red flag as someone who is a supposedly "hair professional". Being exclusive to just one product is never a good thing as it can never be everything to everyone. (The fact it's Monat is the biggest red flag that she is most certainly about the money as I'm guessing she got suckered in by hearing about "all the money" she would be supposedly making compared to affiliate sales with other legitimate hair companies.) The other worry is that she's using these products WITHOUT INFORMED CONSENT regardless of how the customers "feel"!! Feelings not facts all the way. Give people the facts and not the 'facts' according to Monat.

interesting, so being a hair professional then you should know better than promoting this company. The fact that you do, lady in the video, kills all credibility about your hair knowledge. It might have work for her, that does not mean that the hair loss that other people experience did not happened. Just because you haven't experience something, does not mean it does not happened.
