I traveled to Bodega Bay to catch Dungeness crabs with crab snares. It was raining and it was cold. I also forgot to bring food and the only way to have something to eat was to catch it.

Our Facebook group West Coast Crabbers created a crab snaring workshop for our members who are beginning or interested in trying crab snaring. We talked about casting, tides, snares, gear, and techniques. This gave us a chance to give back to the community and get to meet and to get to know our members.

I planned to go to a popular beach that many people were catching a lot of Dungeness crabs. My curiosity got to me and decided to try a beach I haven't been before. I knew the trail is a little more difficult and I didn't expect a lot of crabbers there.

Joel from Vivid Snares & Fishing hosted this charity tournament for Breast Cancer awareness. Anglers participated in this tournament to catch Dungeness crabs from shore. Winners were rewarded for individual and teams for the largest crab and largest limits. All prizes were donated from different vendors and businesses.

I made this easy recipe using freshly caught rockfish and Hot Cheetos. We launched out of Half Moon Bay using only Hookupbaits. After catching the fish, we returned back to shore to cook them and share them with friends.

I went Rockfish fishing with the West Coast Crabbers crew at Half Moon Bay. We caught many fish using many different setups. Corinne caught the most and biggest Rockfish using tube baits from Hookupbaits

When Dungeness season is over, I target Rock Crabs. Harvesting Rock Crabs is open all year. There are many places that are easier to catch these crabs, but I chose to take the path less taken and see If I can find new places to catch them.

This was my final trip for Dungeness Crab season for 2022. I went to a beach that was named after a passenger steam ship that sank in this cove about 170 years ago. All the 600 passengers survived. The trail is long but the water is full of Dungeneness crab.

The More Than Fishing tournament hosted by Jun gave anglers from all parts of California to have a chance to win $3000 for catching the biggest Stripper. My son and I went to a California beach to fish for stripers using Luckycraft lures. My son caught his first keeper Halibut measuring at 23 inches. I thought I killed the fish by bonking and bleeding it out. When I went to rinse the fish off in the water, the fish flopped on me and dropped back in the water. Luckily the fish didn't swim away and I was able to recover it

This is a spot for catching Dungeness crabs and rock crabs. This area was also a military battery that had two 12 inch guns that protected the San Francisco Bay. The guns were removed and sent to Corregidor Island in 1933 to protect the Manila Bay

I traveled to a small coastal town know as a town that doesn't want to be found. I went to explore different spots in the area to find dungeness crabs.

I took my son, nephew, and their friend to Pacifica Pier to teach them how to crab snare. I also wanted them to have an experience of cooking something and eating what they caught. Instead of playing video games all day I wanted to show them a real game that we have been playing to survive from our beginnings.

Anglers from different area codes meet at Baker beach for a friendly competition to see who can catch the biggest dungeness crab. The winner gets bragging rights and some cash.
